Disney Cruise Line is Making an Itinerary Change to 2019 Alaskan Sailings

Disney Destinations announced Monday that there has been a change to the Alaskan itinerary for 2019 sailings. All of the sailings that were scheduled to visit Tracy Arm have been changed to visit Endicott Arm. The Endicott Arm visit will include Dawes Glacier.

The Tracy Arm neighboring fjord, Endicott Arm can only be described as breathtaking and the glacier is awe inspiring. Dawes Glacier is a 600 foot tall, mile-wide tidewater glacier and is located at the end of Endicott Arm. As guests sail toward the glacier they will enjoy serene views of wildlife, rock formations, valleys, and waterfalls. Endicott Arm is roughly 45 miles south of Juneau, Alaska.

Disney Cruise Line is offering the 2019 Alaskan itinerary late May through early September.  Itineraries have scheduled stops in several ports including Skagway, Alaska, Juneau, Alaska, Ketchikan, Alaska, the aforementioned Dawes Glacier, as well as days at sea.  Most sailings consist of a 7-night itinerary.  Limited 5 and 9-night itinerary options are available. The 9-night sailing includes two days at sea and multiple ports in Alaska, including Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Hubbard Glacier, Sitka, as well as Victoria, Canada. The shortened 5-night sailing offers 2 days at sea, Dawes Glacier, and Ketchikan. All itineraries embark and disembark in Vancouver, Canada.

The Alaskan sailings are aboard the Disney Wonder. The Wonder is one of the initial two ships of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The ship has multiple stateroom categories including inside, oceanview, verandah, and concierge. The onboard activities are plentiful and include options for children, teens, and adults.

The announcement did not give a reason for the itinerary change and stated that no other portion of the itinerary would change.
