I think we all know that when you cruise with the Disney Cruise Line your experience is going to be magical! When you combine the Disney Cruise Line with Marvel characters, the results are out of this (Marvel) Universe.
Disney Cruise Line first introduced their Marvel Day at Sea sailings in 2016, and due to their popularity, have continued each year since then. So what are they all about? Let’s find out!
One sea day during each special sailing, the cruise ship transforms into superhero central, and guests get the chance to meet all of their favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. With shows, trivia games, special merchandise, drawing classes, movies, and specialty menus, there is something for every superhero fan!
Without Iron Man, there would be no Avengers. Thanks to Tony Stark, we now have a whole host of heroes working together to save the world. So it makes perfect sense that he has assembled a great group to greet guests as well. You can find many of the original members of the team – Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye on the ship. Hulk can be a bit of hazard, so perhaps Bruce Banner is around and just blending into the crowd?
Newer additions to the team are also on board. Be on the look out for Doctor Strange, from the 2016 film of the same name, in his own stage show. Spider-Man and Black Panther are also on board – Wakanda Forever!
For the first time ever, Captain Marvel makes an appearance during this special day at sea. With her film coming out in March, she is definitely a popular one to meet!
You might even see Loki, although we never know for sure which side he is on!
It’s Star-Lord, Man
The Guardians of the Galaxy like to have some fun, so it is no surprise that they are getting in on the action. Star-Lord and Gamora roam the ship, and Groot has his own meet and greet!
Even Mickey, Minnie, Chip ‘n Dale, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy Duck, and Donald Duck got in on the action as well in the Mickey and Friends Super Hero Celebration. Minnie Mouse must be a fan of Spider-Man while Mickey Mouse obviously prefers Captain America!
The Marvel Day at Sea itinerary is available on ten select sailings departing from Miami to the Bahamas or Western Caribbean in early 2019. Each of these 5-night sailings on the Disney Magic includes an action-packed day at sea celebrating the Marvel Super Heroes and some of your favorite villains. There are activities that keep everyone occupied during this special cruise – from deck shows to character meet and greets and character sightings. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Marvel superhero (or villain)!
