A haunting array of new Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise made it’s debut at the Emporium today for the new V.I.Passholder Pop-up Event. Fanciful new 25th anniversary Nightmare Before Christmas goodies, Haunted Mansion plush, and even new Dooney & Bourke Handbags all materialized just in time for Halloween.

These spooktacular new items went on sale this morning as an early release for Annual Passholders, but they are now available for purchase to everyone.

The Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise Debut featured a lot of incredible items for the Nightmare Before Christmas 25th Anniversary!

Lots of fright-tastic new pins are ready to haunt your collection, celebrating The Nightmare Before Christmas 25th Anniversary. There is even a new jumbo sized pin, for the ultimate Disney Pin collecting!

 

I’m loving this hauntingly fierce Jack Skellington purse. It features the 25 Years of Fright logo, with stunning orange and purple accents. Jack is the Pumpkin King, but this bag is definitely Halloween royalty.

A new purple raglan for women, and a unisex black tee featuring the 25 Years of Fright logo are also available, The purple coloring on the raglan is just stunning, and the orange accents really pop! The t-shirt has a very classic The Nightmare Before Christmas feel with the white contrasting artwork as well.

The new Candy Apple Cupcake at Sprinkles Disney Springs is an absolute autumn delight.  Even if it still feels like summer here in Walt Disney World, (Wonder)fall has arrived at Disney Springs.  Sprinkles has debuted another fantastic fall-inspired treat for Wonderfall – Candy Apple Cupcake. Make sure to stop by soon, because they will only be available until October 7th.

 To create the candy apple cupcake, they start with a spiced apple cake.  Then, the cupcake is filled with apple pie filling and generously frosted with caramel cream cheese frosting.  For the final touches, half of the top is dipped in dark chocolate ganache and then drizzled with vanilla glaze.  At only $5.25, it is a perfect afternoon snack or after dinner (or lunch) dessert.

Calling all witches, ghouls, and goblins, the Monster Donut has arrived at the Disneyland donut cart. Halloween at Disneyland is such a magical time of the year. The new monster donut is a hauntingly scrumptious way to start off your day while strolling next to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle or down Main Street. But hungry parkgoers beware, this delectable donut is only available for a limited time.

The Disneyland donut cart has transformed a normal everyday donut into a MONSTER, and we are thrilled about that.  The purple vanilla icing is topped with orange sprinkles, crushed oreo cookie, and monstrous gummies.  You can find the donut cart near Sleeping Beauty’s castle.  For only $6, this monstrous donut is big enough to share (or not LOL).

Attention all “Foolish Mortals’, the Chocolate Cauldron at Vivoli il Gelato Disney Springs is terrifyingly terrific.  The most spooktacular time of the year has arrived at Vivoli il Gelato of Disney Springs.  There is no better way to kick off the Halloween season than the Chocolate Cauldron.

If you are a chocolate lover and chocolate obsessed like me, then this is the milkshake for you.  Chocolate gelato and chocolate chip gelato are spun together with milk and then poured into a waffle cone that has been dipped in white chocolate and chocolate shavings.  Last but not least, a huge mound of whipped cream is added and drizzled with chocolate sauce and chocolate shavings. Did someone say chocolate?! For $11.50, this is shake is definitely big enough to share.

The idea of Disney ambassadors came from Walt Disney himself.  With everything happening in Disney’s world in the 60’s – the World Expo, Project X (which would be come Walt Disney World) and the approach of the 10th anniversary of Disneyland park, Walt wanted to make sure he was represented.

He set up a selection process to choose one of its employees, to carry the messages of the company during various events.

Since then, the Ambassadors program has been an integral part of every Disney destination worldwide.

Once appointed, the ambassadors embark on a two-year mission that will see them discover and publicize the richness and diversity of Disney talents, take part in solidarity operations alongside the Action Citoyenne service, or represent the destination during the event.

Joana Afonso Santiago and Giona Prevete, representatives of the first European tourist destination are those new ambassadors.

She speaks four languages (French, Portuguese, English and Spanish), and he speaks three languages (Dutch, French, English). Both are expected to represent all 16,000 employees who work every day in the destination.

Prior to her appointment, Joana worked as a sales associate at Disney World’s Disney World Shop. This Franco-Portuguese has multiplied the seasonal contracts during her language studies in restoration and Disney Parks attractions. At the end of her studies in hotel management, she joined the company definitively and illustrates the potential of internal mobility moving from the relations with the visitors to the concierge of a hotel and the sale in shop.

If he admits coming since his youngest age to visit every year Disneyland Paris with his family (making the road from Maastricht), Giona joined the company in 2010 as a survey agent. In 2015, he joined the Visitors Communication department, where he is in charge of correspondence processing with Dutch and English speaking visitors.

Joana and Giona will formally assume their new role on January 1, 2019, for a two-year term. In the meantime, they will begin a training period that will involve them in California and Florida where they will meet their counterparts, also selected in each of the Disney destinations around the world: California, Florida, Japan and China.

“Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash” Coming to Freeform

“Hocus Pocus” fans- get ready!   Freeform is bringing something spectacular this year during their “31 Nights of Halloween“! Freeform announced today that is will air a star-studded party celebrating the 25th anniversary of  cult-classic “Hocus Pocus” on October 20th at 8:15 PM EDT/PDT. Filmed in the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery, this event is sure to delivernon-stop thrills and chills.

The star studded event will feature celebrity guests- including the Sanderson Sisters themselves! Bette Middler (“Winifred Snaderson”), Sarah Jessica Parker (“Sarah Sanderson”) and Kathy Najimy (“Mary Sanderson”) will make appearances. Viewers will also be able to see interviews from other members of the  cast and crew including: Kenny Ortega (Director), Mick Ortegas (Writer), David Kirschner (Writer), Omri Zatz (“Max”), Thora Birch (“Dani”) and Tobias Marsden (Voice of “Thackary Binx”).

Excited yet? Musical guests include: Dove Cameron, PrettyMuch, and Junior New System . The special will also feature a “Hocus Pocus” themed costume contest. Throughout the night Drag superstar Lady Bunny will be dropping spooktacular beats as the resident DJ. Additional surprise guests will be announced at a later date.

Hang on to your brooms because Freeform has much more in store!  Before and after the event, the network will air a specail “Pop’n Knowledge” edition of “Hocus Pocus” at 6 PM EDT/PDT and 9:45 PM EDT/PDT.

If that isn’t enough to get your Sanderson Sister fix, Freeform will also air a day long “Hocus Pocus” marathon on October 31!  It’s sure to be bewitching!

New Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Millennium Falcon Attraction details released!

How many times have you thought about driving the Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars franchise?  As the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge approaches in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, excitement is building. On the new Target-exclusive version of Solo: A Star Wars Story, now on Blu-ray, new details have been revealed.

Guests will be able to go on an interactive adventure, pushing buttons and driving the ship. Pods will rotate fully, giving fans a unique experience.  Forty-two guests can ride at once, in seven pods.

Creative Executive at Lucasfilm Story Group Pablo Hidalgo said, “Now the Millennium Falcon is flying to our galaxy. And if you’ve ever wanted to experience it – and I’m not talking about a movie set where you see the plywood that’s holding up the set, where you see where one area of the Falcon stops and in order to get to the next area you have to go to a whole different sound stage – the Millennium Falcon that’s at Galaxy’s Edge is the Falcon.”

Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering Scott Trowbridge says, “If you bring back all the loot and there’s not a scratch on the ship and Hondo is really happy when you bring it back, you might find yourself with some extra-Galactic Credits in your account, but do a poor job, you lose the cargo, you smash up the ship, you might come back owing more money than you started with, the bossman might not be too happy and when you roll across to the local cantina the bartender might lean over and say ‘hey, word on the street is your name’s been put on the list of a local bounty hunter, I’d watch out if I were you’ so how well you do on this mission really does have an impact on your overall, land-wide story.”

There are no exact dates for release of all this excitement, but we do know that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be opening in Summer.  Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland will open in summer 2019 while the Disney’s Hollywood Studios version is slated for fall 2019.

Great news for United States Military Members! 2019 Military discounts were just announced for Walt Disney World!

The 2019 Military Discounts are room discounts and the percentage of the discount is based on which category of resort is chosen. Allocated rooms for this discount is limited and like most Walt Disney World offers, some resort and rooms are excluded.

To qualify for the discount, you must be active or retired U.S. military personnel (including active or retired members of the National Guard, Reservists, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)). Spouses of military service members and PHS and NOAA Commissioned Corps members also qualify if they are able to present valid and active U.S. military IDs in the absence of active or retired military personnel or Commissioned Corps members.

Discounted ticket prices have also been announced for Walt Disney World. They are priced as follows:

Disney Cruise Line just made two HUGE announcements! In 2020, two Disney wonder sailings will be going to Hawaii! Also, for the first time ever, Disney Cruise Line will also be sailing out of the Louisiana Port of New Orleans!

First-time Home Port in New Orleans
In 2020, the Disney Wonder will embark on a variety of Caribbean and Bahamian cruises from New Orleans – the first time Disney Cruise Line will have a home port in Louisiana. Not only will this provide families from the region with the magic of having a Disney ship in their own backyard, but it will also draw families from farther away to discover this incredible city before they set sail.

Before or after their Disney cruise, guests can venture into the city to savor the distinct flavors of famous New Orleans cuisine, visit family-friendly museums and parks, and revel in the sweet melodies of world-renowned jazz music. Travelers will delight in the Southern charm of this new home port, and Disney fans will find magic around every corner as they recognize the iconic sights and sounds that inspired the beloved animated film “The Princess and the Frog.”

The Disney Wonder will embark on six cruises during this limited-time season from New Orleans, including four-, six- and seven-night Western Caribbean sailings; a seven-night Bahamian cruise; and a 14-night Panama Canal voyage, departing Feb. 7 through March 6.

During these dream vacations, guests will discover the breathtaking beauty of the Hawaiian Islands, including the famous beaches of Waikiki on Oahu; the views from high atop the summit of Haleakala Crater on Maui; the lush tropical gardens and waterfalls of Kauai; and the diverse natural wonders of Hawaii Island.

Popular Itineraries from Puerto Rico and California
The Disney Wonder continues its standout season with returns to popular home ports on both coasts. First, the ship sets sail for the Southern Caribbean during two seven-night voyages departing Jan. 19 and 26 from San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by a five-night Bahamian cruise. Then beginning on March 20, the ship embarks on seven sailings to Baja and the Mexican Riviera, ranging in length from two to seven nights, from San Diego, California.

Unforgettable Tropical Getaways from Florida
Disney Cruise Line will have three ships sailing to the Bahamas and Caribbean from Florida in early 2020, and every cruise includes a day of fun in the sun on Disney’s private Bahamian island reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests, Castaway Cay.

  • From Miami, the Disney Magic will sail three-, four- and five-night Bahamian cruises and five-night Western Caribbean cruises.

A new season means new delectable delights to enjoy at Walt Disney World! If you are looking to learn about all the new flavors you can sink your teeth into – keep reading as I am here to share Walt Disney World’s newest sweet treats that popped up this month.

Walt Disney World's Newest Sweet Treats

Disney really outdid themselves with the milkshake of the month at the Plaza Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. The Birthday Cake Milkshake allows you to celebrate your un-birthday with a confetti vanilla milkshake in a sprinkle-rimmed glass topped with whipped cream, more sprinkles, and two mini birthday cake cupcakes. Also available over at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is September’s Ice Cream of the Month – Chocolate Chip. And for October, you can celebrate the coming of fall with Pumpkin Ice Cream!

Prince Eric’s Village Market has recently debuted a few new menu items. My personal favorite is the Mermaid Donut. The Mermaid Donut features a yeast doughnut topped with purple icing, sprinkles, and white chocolate treasures from Ariel’s Grotto. Guests are also invited to try the new Witch’s Frozen Brew. This seaworthy slushy features frozen lemonade and frozen Coca-Cola swirled together with Monin cherry, Granny Smith apple, watermelon, and red passion fruit.

Animal Kingdom Park has also added a new seasonal treat – Apple Cider Donut Holes! The bite-size donuts are drizzled with icing and covered in cinnamon sugar. These tasty bites are served on a skewer for easy on-the-go snacking an can be found at Isle of Java.

The Mermaid Donut isn’t the only new mermaid in town! Head on over to the BoardWalk Bakery at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn for the Mermaid Cupcake. The yellow cupcake is filled with coconut cream mousse and topped with whipped cream, toasted coconut, a white chocolate mermaid tale, fondant shells, and crispy pearls. While you’re there, you can also try the new Coconut Macaroons – they’re jumbo sized and quite yummy!

And, if you want to try out even more Mermaid-inspired treats, make sure to head over to Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. There you will find the Ariel Cupcake featuring a vanilla cupcake topped with buttercream and filled with white crispy pearls. But hurry, this Mermaid Cupcake is set to swim away at the end of September. Taking its place at the beginning of October will be the Maleficent Cupcake. This chocolate cupcake is filled with spiced chocolate and topped with vanilla buttercream and chocolate horns.

Guests can be the Chosen One while enjoying the Chosen One dessert at The Artist’s Palette in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The Chosen One dessert features a green apple mousse with a caramel center.

All princesses are invited over to Disney Springs this Fall to celebrate their favorite princess with princess-themed merchandise, a royal makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, or even the Dream Big, Princess Movie Marathon – but did you know that there’s also PRINCESS CAKES? Yep! Amorette’s Patisserie is dreaming big with special limited-time Princess Cakes featuring Rapunzel (available Sept 27-30), Moana (available Oct 4-7), and Cinderella (available Oct 11-14). Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe has finally reopened at Epcot! In addition to some savory items like the Norwegian Club and the Ham and Apple Sandwich, this tasty bakery in the Norway Pavilion offers a variety of snacks that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Try the popular School Bread, Rice Cream (rice pudding with strawberry sauce), Lefse (soft flatbread rolled with cinnamon, sugar, and butter), Berry Cream Puffs, and more. Princess Anna even has her own treat – Anna’s Birthday Cake. It’s a chocolate mousse-filled cupcake with chocolate buttercream icing, YUM! Of course I can’t forget the pretzels. Did you know that “Kringla” actually means “pretzel” in Norwegian? Well never fear because cinnamon pretzels can be found here! Hand-made and coated in cinnamon sugar, these twisted treats are a can’t-miss item.
