Lion King Stars Working on New Live Action Film

While working on the new CGI/Live-Action version of The Lion King, director Jon Favreau posted a picture on Instagram of some of the cast. Favreau appears alongside Donald Glover (adult Simba), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa), and Billy Eichner (Timon) in the photo.

The director gives no indication of what they were recording in the booth, but the characters do share some memorable scenes in the original, including the song “Hakuna Matata.”

Favreau seems to have found a niche, previously directing the live action/CGI version of Disney’s The Jungle Book. He has also been working with Disney as in the Avengers franchise in several capacities, as executive producer of the Iron Man and Avengers films, director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and in front of the camera as Tony Stark’s driver Happy Hogan in the Iron Man and Spiderman movies. Most recently it was announced that he is creating a live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, for Disney’s new streaming service.

The Lion King hits theaters in July 2019.

In the season of all things pumpkin spice, the diversion into another beloved fall flavor is a welcome change. I know when I am at the Animal Kingdom in November I will make a plan to enjoy one. Or, maybe two!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to Twitter today and announced the release date of Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” movie. His tweet is better than seeing “the back side of water”. We are so excited for the Jungle Book to come to the big screen! This cast is sure to bring big laughs and tons of action. The behind the scenes photos we have been seeing on social media are keeping us on the edge of our seats in anticipation. Check out the official Tweet below:

Sneak Peek of ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ coming to Disney Parks this November

Starting next month guests visiting Disney World and Disneyland will be able to get a sneak peek at Ralph Breaks the Internet for a limited time.

Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will get to see this advance look at a portion of the film, starting Friday, November 2, as part of the Walt Disney Presents attraction.

At Disneyland park, the preview of “Ralph Breaks the Internet” will be shown in 3D at the Tomorrowland Theater. This limited sneak peek experience will be presented by Mailchimp at Disneyland Resort, November 9 – December 9.

In “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” video-game bad guy Ralph and best friend Vanellope leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game. Their quest takes them to the vast world of the internet, a world Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces – so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had.

New Interactive Experiences Added to Play Disney Parks Mobile App

Two new interactive experiences are coming soon to the Play Disney Parks mobile app! Now instead of standing in long lines for Pandora with bored children, you can play interactive games on the Play Disney Parks app. Never again will you have to hear “mom, how much longer is the wait?!” or “Dad, when is it our turn?” Ha Ha, one could hope anyway! The two new experiences are going to be great additions to the already very interactive games.

The ACE Guide to Pandora: Valley of Mo’ara Edition at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will enable you to join Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) on an adventurous journey as you explore the colors, cultures and creatures of Pandora. Scan your surroundings for exotic lifeforms, create indigenous music and experience other interactive gameplay alongside your friends and family while learning all about this alien moon through interesting facts, trivia and activities. This experience can be accessed anywhere within the park, but is especially great when waiting in the queue line at the very popular Avatar Flight of Passage attraction.

Stories of the Enchanted Gallery at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will be the first Play Disney Parks experience based at a Disney Resort hotel and will allow you to bring the art-filled walls of the lobby to life while checking in or enjoying your stay. Through the app, you’ll become your own animator, creating themed art that transforms into living, breathing stories inspired by “Finding Nemo,” “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Cars.”

New Interactive Experiences Added to Play Disney Parks Mobile App

You’ll also be able to earn, collect and share several new Play Disney Parks achievements as part of these new experiences. And, while in the app, keep your eyes (and ears) open for some great new Apple Music* playlists featuring songs inspired by Disney animated films, Disney lullabies and even classic Disney tales read aloud.

Since debuting in June, the Play Disney Parks app has immersed guests further in the Disney stories they know and love, through themed games, Disney trivia, digital achievements, music and more – whether they are playing on Main Street, U.S.A. or waiting in line at beloved attractions.

Guardians of The Galaxy 3 Reportedly To Begin Production in 2021 As we anticipate its start, fans are surprised to hear news of a set back It is reported that Marvel Studios will wait to begin filming. Word of a delay, for the next installment of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, may be stemming from the firing of the director of the franchise film.

The project schedule became uncertain when James Gunn was let go. Gunn is not returning to the project as many had hoped. It is good news for Guardians fans to hear Gunn’s script will be used! Marvel has some making up to do still. They seem in no rush to get going. With filming to starting in 2021, we are hopeful details to the cast and confirmed title will be shared soon.

Changes arose as filming for Guardians 3 was gearing up. (February 2019, with May 2020 release) This would have signaled the launch phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UMC). As they work out the kinks there is progress and a start for production is in the works.

With so much information swirling, take this news lightly. I suggest treating this schedule as a rumor until further sources confirm a filming schedule. Waiting for a new Guardians of the Galaxy is tough on this girl! It seems that Marvel may be waiting to let the dust settle around the Gunn firing before moving forward.

IF filming does begin in 2021 this pushes the release date into 2022. It seems unlikely that there would be a long delay but… we will have wait and see. Maybe a little retail therapy will help pass the time.

Couple Visits All 6 US Disney Parks in 24 Hours

Hold on for a whirlwind tour of epic proportions. Have you ever wondered if it was possible to visit the SIX US Disney theme parks in one day? This couple from Tennessee did just that in a 24-hour period. Let’s see just how they did it!

The couple, Heather and Clark Ensminger landed first in Orlando on Tuesday night. They took in the sites and sounds of Disney Springs resting up for their big adventure. The game plan, see and do at least one attraction and eat in each park. This trip was to be Lightning McQueen fast.

They began with Disney’s Hollywood Studios just as dawn was breaking over Toy Story Land. Next Epcot! With an adventure back in time on Spaceship Earth. Then to the Magic Kingdom for a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse. The clock ticking, Heather and Clark made tracks to the Animal Kingdom. After a quick lunch, off to the airport.

The flight took the Ensmingers from coast-to-coast, arriving in Los Angeles and Disney’s California Adventure park before closing, just in time to enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout. Their end goal clearly in view, they crossed the Esplanade in true Disney marathon style, ending their dizzying trip in Disneyland park.

Careful planning, Disney magic and maybe some pixie dust made this trip. A little background to this fairytale come true journey;

Heather and Clark are veteran park goers. As parents of four young children, time management and scheduling are second nature. They have made the 10-hour drive from their home in eastern Tennessee to Walt Disney world SIX different times over a twelve month period (2017-18). “In that year, we calculated we spent over a month at Walt Disney World!” Clark said with a laugh. The two completed the 24 hour Disney dash alone. Their children remained home with family.

What led to the desire to tackle such a bigger-than-life goal? The spark is a very personal one. Heather’s father unexpectedly past away last October, just days before a family trip to Walt Disney World was to begin. As the anniversary of the loss of her father approached, Heather was struggling with the date. Clark her husband understood her pain and was already planning a very special adventure to surprise Heather.

Heather did have a tip-off to Clark’s scheme when an email exposed some details. Not to worry. The two enjoyed adding the finishing touches to what would be such a memorable endeavor.

There is something magical about this mouse and this place that Walt Disney envisioned so many years ago. I think it is in the words of Mr. Disney himself, “If you can dream it, you can do it” Heather and Clark did just that.

Are you an avid pin trader at Disney World? Then you’ll love PinQuest at Disney World. PinQuest puts a creative and adventurous spin on Official Pin Trading in the parks.

The rules are simple: first, buy a starter kit (this one is really cute and features Mickey in his safari hat). You’ll also need a PinQuest clue card. Next, use the clues and your decoder medal from the kit to solve the destination. Then take your pin from the starter kit and redeem it with the nearest NavigatEAR Cast Member at Animal Kingdom. The Cast Member will then give you a new PinQuest pin. Take that new pin and the starter kit and continue your adventure to find the next Disney PinQuest destination.

Disney PinQuest is a combination of pin trading and a scavenger hunt, and it’s lots of fun–especially if you’re enjoying the parks with family and friends!

Disney's Minnie Van Service Now Provides Shuttle to Disney Cruise

You heard it here first! Disney’s fleet of Minnie Vans is now offering shuttle service to and from your Disney Cruise! We confirmed today with Disney Cruise Line that the new service just rolled out and they are excited to bring you Disney’s quality Minnie Van experience directly from the resort to your Disney cruise ship!

The cost of the shuttle is $240 each way. This may seem a bit more money than the regular cab or shuttle, but you are riding in style in a roomy Minnie Van instead! To book the Minnie Van service you would call Disney Cruise directly at 407-566-3600 and hit prompt #1 to be connected with an agent that can book your shuttle. This service can be added on anytime up until 7 days before your cruise departs. It must be paid in full at the time of booking as well. We did ask if you would be able to take the Minnie Van to MCO instead of the resort and the agent informed us that you cannot at this time, but you may be able to do so very soon! How exciting! This just made things so much easier!

A new flavorful slush will be blasting into Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park in November. Beginning November 7th, the new Space Ranger Slush will be available at the Lunching Pad restaurant just underneath the Astro Orbiter attraction in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland.

This new frozen treat will tickle your sour taste buds with layers of purple and green apple flavors. Just thinking about it makes my mouth pucker.

If that’s not enough sugar and sourness for you then just wait. You’ll be able to enjoy this out of this world frozen treat with an electric green rock candy straw.

The Space Ranger slush is just one of a few new slushes coming soon to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World during the holiday season.

I’m sure you know that Halloween and the holidays are the best time to be at Disney for amazing new treats. Although a Disney park is the place to be for fabulous food and amazing snacks any time of the year. Warning: may be harmful if you are watching your waistline.

Marvel Superhero Adventures Season 2 Headed to Disney Channel

Spidey is back with his superhero friends to teach even more lessons on friendship, generosity, and doing the right thing! Marvel Superhero Adventures returns to Disney Channel, Disney Jr, and the DisneyNow app with an all-new season of shorts on Monday, October 22! The 10 episode season will be released in 2 parts with the first 5 episodes premiering at 9:25 am on Disney Channel and 5:25 pm on Disney Jr. and the last 5 premiering on December 17 at the same times. If your little do-gooder just can’t wait, all will be immediately available on the DisneyNow app.
The great news for the littlest Marvel fans in your house doesn’t end there! The first season is being re-released as Disney Jr Appoisodes. Youll find them in the appisode app and will I use several interactive and educational adventures.
If that wasn’t enough, in December and January, The Marvel HQ YouTube page will also premire several new videos designed to engage and help little ones learn about the world around them including individual character breakout pieces titled “Meet Our Marvel Super Heroes” and a game of I-Spy with Spider-Man called “Spyin’ with Spidey”.
