Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center Expansion

Last fall, Disney completed a massive overhaul and expansion at the Convention Center at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. The newly renovated space now is one of the most desirable venues in Central Florida.

The completed convention center now offers nearly 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space. This total includes 28,000 square feet of newly added space. Guests attending meetings and events will enter through the Newport Lobby & Gallery. The newly upgraded entrance contains three pre-event areas for attendees to gather for networking and socializing.

Look at the new spaces designed to take your meetings and conventions to another level.

The new Newport Ballroom is 16,000 square feet and capable of dividing into eight breakouts. This space is perfect for networking events, ceremonies, general sessions, meetings, and celebrations. Besides adding the new ballroom, the existing space received a refurbishment. The new fresh nautical-themed space received new furniture, carpet, wood floor, wall coverings, and lighting. On top of that, the entire area also received a fresh coat of paint.

Every meeting room in the convention center got a makeover. Two new rooms, Seaview Room and Bourne Room, have been transformed into designated meeting planner offices.  This an added convenience for groups planning their events.

All of the rooms contain state of the art technology.  Additionally, some of the updates include multiple outlets for charging cell phones, tablets, and laptops. High-capacity internet connectivity and hard-wired services are available in the meeting rooms, ballrooms, and convention foyer.  The entire area gives off a new upgraded look and feels to match the rest of the convention center and resorts.

Not only has the convention center been renovated, but guests looking to stay near their meetings can now enjoy one of the more than 1,900 guest rooms. Furthermore, take advantage of the new dining options, including Ale & Compass Restaurant, Ale & Compass Lounge, and The Market at Ale & Compass.

Lastly, the location of the Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center to the parks is superior. You are a short 5-7-minute walk to Epcot and a quick boat ride away from Hollywood Studios. The entire Boardwalk area is one of my favorite areas on the property.  Besides the fantastic resorts and pools, there’s plenty of choices of great restaurants and bars. The convenience of two parks that you don’t have to get on a bus at the start of your day is another added bonus.
