Star Wars Adds a New Lady Sith Lord

Star Wars fans of all ages have a love-hate relationship with the Sith Lords. There are only a few of them, and fans hate them for their evil and love them for what they add to the saga.

A new milestone in the comic book saga of Star Wars has been reached: a new Sith Lord has been added, and this time, the sith is a female–Lady Shaa.

Star Wars Adds a New Lady Sith Lord

For the first time, a lady Sith Master has been added to the Star Wars canon. She makes her debut in Darth Vader #22, in which Vader is brought up close and personal with the spirit of the Sith Lord Momin, who was only recently added to the canon. Momin was referred to earlier in the comic story, but fans didn’t know how powerful his role had been. Instead of him merely being a very strong presence on the Dark Side, fans discovered that Momin actually helped Darth Vader build a castle in which he hoped to bring Padme back to life.

Sith Lord Momin was chosen as an apprentice by the very powerful Lady Shaa.

Master Shaa isn’t the first powerful female on the Dark Side. She joins the likes of Darth Traya, Darth Zannah, Darth Cognus, Darth Talon and others. Disney, however, made only the Star Wars movies and Star Wars shows canonical, which means that those female siths became only legends in the saga, instead of official parts of the overall Star Wars story.

The relationship between Momin and Lady Shaa is not one that blossoms into the tale of a powerful duo. Rather, after Master Shaa makes it clear to Momin that he ranks well beneath her, he begins his own mission of revenge and power-seeking. We know Shaa falls, but we aren’t sure just yet where that happens in the timeline of the comic canon. Stay tuned!

There's Magic in Store - A Special Holiday Event

There’s Magic in Store – A Special Holiday Event at a Disney Store Near You – Saturday, November 3rd. The holiday season is nearly upon us! Get ready to ring in all the joy. Bring your family, bring your friends dress in your holiday best. The Disney Stores are decking their halls in festive decor. New arrivals of toys and gifts are sure to make everyone jolly.  There are giveaways and many more surprises to kick off the season of gift giving.

Guests enjoying the glimmering delights can hear a reading of the latest Stitch adventure – Holiday Mischief with Stitch! Also, be sure to watch the special in-store screening of Mickey’s Christmas Carol at 4 p.m. and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure at 7 p.m.

The event is from store open to close. No RSVP is needed. Just come along to join the fun. The event is intended for guests ages 3+. Event subject to cancellation or change without notice.  Outlet stores not included.

Take a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Frozen The Musical

Frozen The Musical is now on Broadway. Tickets are available for performances at Saint James Theater in New York City. Can’t get to New York anytime soon? We’ve got you covered with a special behind-the-scenes look at the many things involved in bringing the story of Frozen to dazzling life!

More than 40 actors and actresses make up the cast of Frozen the Musical. Queen Elsa is played by the talented Caissie Levy, who has a powerful voice that moves audiences during every performance. Actress Patti Marin plays the lovable Princess Anna, and she wears the trademark red braids very well.

The elaborate sets make the audience feel as though they are there in the castle during Elsa’s coronation. Then they feel the chill of the night air at Oaken’s Trading Post. The sets are so detailed and colorful, members of the audience feel like they’re right there on the North Mountain with Kristoff and Anna in the bitter cold.

The costumes are on point, as most of them are nearly identical to the ones we saw in the animated feature.

But perhaps the most lovable part of the entire production is Sven the Reindeer. In the animated feature, he’s the sidekick of Kristoff the Ice Harvester. In the Broadway show, he’s still Kristoff, but it takes a bit more Disney magic to bring him to life.

Believe it or not, the Broadway Sven is a puppet–an elaborately detailed puppet! And he is brought to life by master puppeteer Adam Jepsen.

Everything comes together beautifully in this magical Broadway production. The sets, special effects, ornate costuming, special effects and talented cast create a spectacular show that is in a class by itself. If you won’t be visiting the New York area in time for the show, at least take a peek at the promo trailer. The trailer alone is breathtaking!

Halloween Soirée at Disneyland Paris 2018

Halloween season is in full swing at Disneyland Paris, with the Halloween Soirée under a week away. The map has been released for this unique ticketed event, which is on the 31st of October. Guests can enter the park from 17:00 onwards but it officially starts at 20:30 until 02:00! The map reveals a spooky evening full of characters, shows, parade and more!

Sugar and spice and just about EVERYTHING is nice at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.    Following in their autumn flavor theme will be the new pumpkin creme brûlée.    This pumpkin flavor creamy custard delight will only available from November and hopefully through December.  The dessert is served in traditional creme brûlée fashion with the mouthwatering caramelized sugar on the top.   It is garnished with candied pumpkin seeds and a milk chocolate autumn leaf over whipped cream.  Once you break through the caramelized sugar you find the slightly cool pumpkin flavored custard.

The collection features two sleek bag styles, that come in four different variations. The first style is a large shopper style tote, and the second is a slim wristlet. Each bag is made from a sturdy canvas, with a color block bottom, that really let’s the inspired quote on the bag stand out. The totes retail for $218, and the wristlets retail for $108.

As a fan of purple, I’m really loving the “All You Need Is Faith, Trust, And A Little Pixie Dust.” variation. This one has a color block bottom of purple glitter, which is shimmery perfection. I also love that the period on the end of this bag is a Star, I’m guessing it’s the second one to the right.

The silver glittered bag has the perfect quote for the new Kate Spade collection. The Disney quote “We Have Made The Fairytale Fashionable Again” not only describes this new collection, but all of the many stunning Disney collaborations we’ve been seeing recently.  This one has a little hidden Mickey for the period at the end.

The black color blocked bag is the only one that isn’t glittery. This bag has a chic appeal, but is a great choice for those who love the new Kate Spade collection, but might not be a fan of sparkles.

Lastly we have the gold design, that says “Who Says We Have To Grow Up?”, and it’s so true! This is a another great fashion quote in my opinion too. Why? Just because we get older doesn’t mean we have to lose our youthful love of Disney styles and fashions!
