Christmas Events at Disneyland Paris!

Check out the Christmas events at Disneyland Paris! Christmas is coming to both Disneyland Paris parks from the 10th November 2018 to 6th January 2019! Disneyland Park is dazzling in its festive best, with loads of decorations and a giant tree, granting Christmas wishes all season long.

There will also be an exclusive parade for the Christmas season. Join in with your favourite characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Buzz and Woody for the merriest parade. Featuring beautiful floats decorated with the most magical Christmas decorations. Watch out for the dancing sugar canes, gingerbread man and other Yuletide surprises appear!

Join Mickey and friends for Mickey’s Magical Christmas Light, a sing-along event whilst setting the Town Square’s Christmas tree aglow with a breathtaking display.

Make your way to Animagique in Walt Disney Studios Park, for an awesome Broadway tap dancing show. Why not get into the spirit by singing carols- whilst Mickey shows off his awesome drum skills!

At night at Walt Disney Studios Park, Goofy has a surprise for his friend Mickey, in ‘Nighttime Show! Goofy’s Incredible Christmas’. Guests will see a Character- filled extravaganza illuminating Hollywood’s Tower of Terror with classic Christmas tales.

From 16th November, check out the Royal Stage in Disneyland Park, as our favourite mischievous alien Stitch leads Mickey and friends in a seasonal show!

Previously Disney’s California Adventure offered a pass that allowed Annual Passholders to try food and drink from around the park for one low price. This year they have offered the pass to everyone! Annual Passholders can get their pass for $49 and $54 for non-passholders. If you are an Annual Passholder you get a button each time you redeem one of the coupons!

The pass includes 8 coupons you can use for food or non-alcoholic beverages. You can use all the passes at once or over time through the course of the Festival of Holidays and expire on January 8, 2019. We tried a few of the items from the list and can’t wait to go back soon to try some more!

Frozen 2 Brings Four New Songs to Love – In an interview with Variety Jennifer Lee said “We have a new song that I think is an evolution,” Jennifer Lee, co-director of the first and second films, told Variety on Monday at the “Ralph Breaks the Internet” premiere in L.A. “It’s its own song…Bobby [Lopez] and Kristen [Anderson-Lopez] just delivered it three weeks ago. We’ve been working with them for two years and this song just came in and I love it.” “… the song is one of four already chosen for the movie. “We have three more to go,” she said.

Exciting news for Frozen fans! More adventures, more thrills, more reasons to fall in love with the sisters Elsa and Anna all over again. Lee also teased that the new film will, of course, focus on Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell), but it will be “bigger, more epic” than the first: “They’re going to go far out of Arendelle.”

“Frozen 2” will be released on Nov. 22, 2019, a week earlier than its original Nov. 27 date, announced earlier this month by Disney. Will the new song bring fans as much joy a Let It Go? The Magic Kingdom Commemorates Veteran’s Day 2018

Annually, November 11th of each year, Veteran’s Day, is a day to recognize our service men and women of the past and present. Specifically, those that have made sacrifices in giving of themselves in service to our country in numerous combat zones across the globe. Magic Kingdom park is no different! And Disney does a wonderful job of recognizing veterans for their faithful service!

Although today, the 12th, is considered an observed holiday, yesterday the Magic Kingdom commemorated Veteran’s Day with a special ceremony. A “flag retreat” ceremony was carried out and meant of honor both active duty military members and service/ combat veterans.

The ceremony is a special way in which Disney says “Thank You” to those who have given so much of themselves so selflessly. Not only is the retreat ceremony designed to thank visiting service members and veterans, but also those who work for Disney. The Magic Kingdom and Disney take the opportunity every year to especially show their gratitude towards their own cast members who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The ceremony, which requires an Honor Guard to remove the flag, insisted on two prior service cast members being selected by their superiors to assist with the retreat. The honors include removal and receiving of the flag after it has flown over the Magic Kingdom during the holiday, and leading a procession down Main Street U.S.A.

Disney is no stranger to supporting military personnel. They were well represented in an NYC parade yesterday in honor of Veteran’s Day while carrying a banner that stated: “HEROS WORK HERE.” In the past, Disney and their cartoons have also been instrumental moral boosters for war efforts, specifically WWII.

Here at Chip and Co. we would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your service to our great nation! As does Disney, we are eternally grateful to your sacrifices and hope you know that they do not go unnoticed. Thank you veterans!

Real Life Super Hero Stan Lee passes away at the age of 95

In breaking news. Today we lost a great man… The real-life superhero Stan Lee has just passed. Stan brought us such iconic comic book characters such as Spider-Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, and even Black Panther.

According to reports online he died early Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Cause of death is not known at this time.

When Mr. Cameo wasn’t penning some of your favorite Marvel Characters as Editor in Chief, you can find him in almost all of the Marvel Movies with some of my favorite walk-on performances.

Space Ranger Slush at Launching Pad

There is a new galactic treat that has landed in Tomorrowland! The Space Ranger Slush at Launching Pad is a refreshing magical delight that we would have again and again. For $5.99 you get this green apple and grape Fanta flavored slush including a green apple rock candy coated straw. Thes colors are made to look like Buzz Lightyear and while the green is a little off, we can kinda see it.

The straw is pretty and makes an Instagram worthy drink option, but drink it really fast(try to avoid brain freeze) because the straw is paper under the rock candy and it starts to lose its structure fast. Another option is to throw in the new Gingerbread Mickey souvenier straw and use that. The rock candy is a sweet taste on your lips, but you can’t really eat it because it starts to break down on the paper itself.

We love all of the fun drinks Disney comes out with to keep us cool at the parks. We love even more that they make them fun to look at and take photos with. What is your favorite cold beverage at the parks?

Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine review! Our amazing writer Mary was lucky enough to go to the first night of the Minnie’s Holiday Dine Christmas-themed character meal of the 2018 holiday season. Minnie and her pals stop by for lunch and dinner celebrations serving up seasonal delights. You can pose for pics with popular Disney Characters, say “hi” to those stopping by and engage in table activities geared to the theme. Plus, the party gifts make great souvenirs!

Up first let’s talk about the price… It’s not cheap, but is anything at Disney? The meal is $52 per adult and $31 per child. The good news is it is only one dining credit if you are on the Dinsey Dining Plan. Tables in Wonderland is also accepted for a 20% discount or Annual Passes for a 10% discount, which is still a little pricey but is worth the value for the experience.

How amazing is Donald, Minnie, and Daisy in their holiday outfits? I couldn’t get over the bling and dazzle on Daisy’s dress and sparkle in Minnie’s shoes. The girls stopped by each table and even came over to have some girl talk while Donald was goofing off at another table.

There’s a lot of different options on the buffet, and I’m not going to go over each item, but I will say there is a lot to choose from. We have been told that they have added a lot more Vegan and Vegetarian options for those who have those dietary restrictions. The buffet was surprisingly good. I would say it is better than others, not quite up to Chef Mickey’s, but still good! The desserts were a hit for me. The biggest problem was deciding which to try.

Another thing we loved was the interactive wreath game to play while you were waiting. It’s a cute little addition to keep little ones busy. We didn’t have any children with us, but we did bring them home as a souvenir.

Our final thoughts on this dining experience that we would absolutely do it again and again. There were unique photo ops, staged poses by the characters to give us some fun “magic shots” and the food was so good they nearly need to roll you out. The meal also comes as part of the Fantasmic dining package if you want to upgrade to that. We were able to get out in time to see the second showing of the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam!
