New Details Released for Epcot Forever – Coming Fall 2019

New details were just released on the nighttime show coming to Epcot this fall. Earlier this year we told you that “Epcot Forever” would be replacing IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth in late 2019. Now we have a little more insight into the new show that will project over the World Showcase Lagoon.

“From Magical Memories to a Fabulous Future Witness the wonder as the story of Epcot and its next incredible chapter come to life. Behold the single “spark of imagination” that started it all. Watch it grow, evolve and transform into an epic nighttime extravaganza that stirs the senses and captures all you love about Epcot—and all that’s to come—with dazzling fireworks, stunning laser effects and choreographed kites set to tunes that have become theme park favorites.”- Disney

From the looks of the concept art, this looks very similar to World of Color in Disney California Adventure. If you haven’t seen that for yourself, you may just get a taste of it this fall at Epcot.

Magic Meets Music in the Play Disney Parks App with Apple Music – Now Available on Android Devices

From the music of Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park to the soundtrack of Future World at Epcot, Disney Parks are filled with amazing music that guests can enjoy by listening to Apple Music®* playlists in the Play Disney Parks mobile app – available on Apple devices and now available for Android^TM devices. With playlists specially curated by Disney on Apple Music and featured in the Play Disney Parks app, guests can listen to fan favorite songs from beloved lands, attractions, characters and more whether at home, on the way to or in the middle of their visit.

With more than 35 unique playlists available, there is something for everyone. Users can download the Play Disney Parks app through either the App Store or Google Play to enjoy on Apple or Android devices. New Apple Music users are able to sign up for a free three-month trial, while current Apple Music subscribers can add their favorite Play Disney Parks playlists to their library today.

Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels Will Continue To Offer FastPasses At 60-Day Mark In 2020

We just verified some great news for those wishing to visit Walt Disney World Resort in 2020. The seven Disney Springs Area Resorts, as well as the Four Seasons Resort, have all extended their agreement with Walt Disney World that has been in place since 2018. This means that Extra Magic Hours and the ability to make FastPasses at the 60-day mark will continue to be a perk for guests staying here.

The Disney Springs Area Resorts are made up of the following seven hotels:

A Bo Peep meet-and-greet is coming to the Disney Parks this summer!

Bo Beep from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Toy Story” will be making an appearance at several Disney Parks around the globe.

You can meet Bo at Disneyland Paris, Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, and Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She will also be traveling to visit the Disney Parks in Asia too.

When Bonnie takes all of the toys on her family’s road trip in the upcoming “Toy Story 4”, Woody takes a detour that leads him to a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep. Germany Pavilion At Epcot Gets Updated Menus

We’re seeing some menu shake-ups at the Germany pavilion in Epcot. Starting earlier this month, some of the popular food options were removed or moved to a different location in the pavilion.

Over at Sommerfest, where you could normally find the Jumbo German Pretzel, has now been removed from the menu, along with the disappearance of the Konig Ludwig Weissbier. Additions to the menu include:

Warsteiner Dunkel – $8.50; in a souvenir Stein – $12.50
Beer Flight – $9.00
Redbridge Gluten-Friendly Sorghum Beer – $8.75
August Kesseler Pinot Noir – $12.00

Pretzel lovers – fear not! They can still be found over at the Pretzel Cart, along with the Warsteiner Dunkle, now being served at the cart as well. Also added to the menu at the cart is a Beer Flight for $9.50.

Over at Bierline, you’ll find the displaced Konig Ludwig Weissbier ($10.50) that replaces the Warsteiner Dunkle at this location.

The selections at the Germany Pavilion have always been some of my favorites, and these changes seem to be bringing more of the same great offerings as before. You’ll still find the popular Schofferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen, Apple Strudel, and Nudel Gratin, among others.

Don’t forget to stop by for a snack or drink on your next trip around the “world”.

Out of this World Dining Experience at Planet Hollywood

No strangers to glitz and glamor, Planet Hollywood knows how to make their guests feel like A-List celebrities with extraordinary service and dishes that feel like a personal chef created them just for you. We were just invited to a fabulous event at the Planet Hollywood located in Disney Springs to taste and drink some of the amazing(and fun) food they offer Disney area guests.

Our friendly server for the evening started us off with some beverages and their famous Supernova Shakes – which are no ordinary shakes. Topped with ice cream, cotton candy, chocolate bars, or even a whole slice of cake, these tasty treats are works of art! If adult beverages are calling your name, you will find no shortage of options. You could try There’s Something About Bloody Mary or get any of their signature cocktails in a souvenir light up Observatory Cup. I opted for an Eternal Sunshine, which was refreshing with Stoli Blueberi Vodka, lemonade, and fresh blueberry and basil. Yes, I would order it again, and you may have a sip.

Appetizers followed shortly thereafter. The headliners were the High Roller appetizer sampler and the Chicken Crunch Basket, which featured -you guessed it- crunchy chicken strips with a honey mustard dipping sauce. Our waistbands may or may not have already been tested at this point, but the main course was still yet to come! Guy Fieri helped create the new menu with dishes such as the L.A. Lasagna and the Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheeseburger, which is a larger than life burger stuffed with a generous helping of mac ‘n’ cheese and served with triple fries.

If your Supernova Shake still hasn’t satisfied your sweet tooth, desserts are plentiful at Planet Hollywood! The Melting Planet was my favorite, because it was not only delicious, but it had a built in show to boot! As the “planet” melted, the contents were revealed: brownies and ice cream! Other options included Star Jars, which came in three varieties: Banana Pudding, Brownie Cheesecake, and Key Lime Pie.

With its’ ginormous “movie” screen spanning across multiple stories of the inside of the dome and a DJ keeping the tracks flowing (including sing-a-long’s like YMCA and “Let It Go” that the entire restaurant participates in!) this probably isn’t where you would go for a quiet night out, but if you are looking for high energy fun with inventive dishes sure to satisfy even the largest of appetites, this is your place! Planet Hollywood Observatory is open from 11am to midnight daily.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Unveils New Park Map

Kachow! Be sure to pick up a park map next time you visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The park unveiled a new map earlier this week. The map cover features none other than the rookie racer turned champion, Lightning McQueen. McQueen took center stage this week when his new experience Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy opened. The cover also boldly displays the 30th-anniversary logo as the park spends the year celebrating this landmark anniversary with the actual celebration day on May 1.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is located in the Sunset Boulevard area of the park. Specifically, the new attraction can be found beside Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster and behind Tower of Terror. Guests headed to the attraction will pass through the Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster courtyard to a second courtyard specific to the new experience.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy opened March 31st. The new offering is an interactive stage show featuring many of your favorite characters from the very popular Cars films. With fun songs and plenty of audience interaction, this show pleases guests of all ages.

With so many new features coming to Hollywood Studios this year McQueen will likely only be featured for a short time. The 30th-anniversary celebration is bringing so much to Hollywood Studios. Specifically, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening in late August and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway expected sometime this year. On May 1st, guests will enjoy the new featured nighttime spectacular, Wonderful World of Animation, and is described as a fireworks and projection show. All of this follows on the heels of the opening of the Toy Story Land that debuted last year and the Incredible Celebration that started earlier this year.

Disney and FILA have joined forces to launch a new capsule collection of apparel exclusively for Urban Outfitters. TheDisney Villains X FILA Collection brings the wicked style of some of the most infamous Disney anti-heroes to Urban Outfitters with a contemporary flair.

The infamous baddies showcased in this collection include The Queen of Hearts, Cruella De Vil, Hades, and even Chernabog in a collection that offers athleisure and casual wear. The fierce collection is marked by bold graphics and color-ways that pay homage to the stylish wickedness of these beloved characters.

Design details offer a play on personalities as red hearts, Dalmatian spots and vibrant flames that blend seamlessly with FILA’s signature aesthetic and timeless logo.

The women’s line consists of t-shirts, crop tees, hoodies, jackets, leggings, skirts and a matching set featuring The Queen of Hearts themed half-zip jacket and bike shorts, created in a bold checker print with heart detailing.

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy in Hollywood Studios

Race, don’t walk, over to the brand NEW Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy in Hollywood Studios! This brand new attraction is sure to delight Cars fans, both young and old! An indoor attraction, this 10-minute long adventurous show will offer a much-needed break from those hot Disney days!

Bench seating awaits you inside of the Racing Academy, where you will come face to face with audio-animatronic Lightning McQueen himself. Your favorite Cars characters race each other on a nearly two-story high, 200-foot curved screen in the Sunset Showcase theater.

Outside of the theater additional character meet and greets are available. Photopass photographers will snap your pic as you meet Cruz Ramirez and D.J., who also hosts “D.J.’s Ready! Set! Party Time!” dance party right there in the courtyard!

It is being reported that Captain Marvel has just soared past $1 Billion Dollars at the Global Box Office!

The film is the seventh movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to hit that mark! She joins the ranks of Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool just to name a few.
