The New Walkway from Disney’s Grand Floridian is Underway

It’s really happening! The new walkway from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to the Magic Kingdom is underway!

Disney heard your requests and has listened….or they already had this in the works because it’s an awesome idea and it just happened to be good timing. Either way, we can’t be the only ones excited to see a walkway. Not that the monorail or boat from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to the Magic Kingdom was long, a new walkway is just exciting to hear.

We still have no news on any of the details, but what we can tell you is that the construction will be starting soon as all the construction materials have arrived!

With any project, it will probably be a year before we see the final product, but that’s no bother to us!

We can’t wait to see the final walkway from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, how about you?!

Current Technical Difficulties Lead to Major Delays at the Magic Kingdom

Guests are experiencing major delays at the Magic Kingdom this morning due to technical difficulties.

Lines for Guest Services are getting longer by the minute. Guests are complaing of a several hour wait just to get into the park.

Apparently, there has been a glitch in the entry system that will not allow theme park tickets to be scanned. It has been reported that guests with magic bands have been able to enter the parks, however.

Guests are taking to Twitter to express their frustration and confusion with the technical difficulties. Check out the tweets below:

Disney Pays Tribute to Animal Care

Disney is paying tribute to its science and environment cast members who care for the thousands of animals at Animal Kingdom, as well as at Epcot and throughout all of the Disney Parks and Resorts. During National Zookeeper week it is a perfect time to shine a light on all the hard work each of the animal keepers, ranch hands, water scientists, aquarists, nutritionists, behaviorists, and all of the veterinary, and administrative teams do day in and day out to care for the animals.

These dedicated individuals hale from all over the world. With that, they bring a vast amount of experience and skill with them to care for these animals. Conservation is also a very high priority for these cast members. They work tirelessly to do whatever they can do to save endangered species and educate guests on how they can help, and changes they can put in place to make a difference. Right now there is the Protect the Pride campaign for instance. It is working to try and help increase the dwindling lion population and the Disney conservation fund has raised over 1.5 million for already.

It is no easy undertaking what these cast members do, caring for the well being of the animals is a nonstop job, 24/7 every day of the year. These devoted individuals ensure the wellbeing of the animals is always the top priority. Some of their responsibilities range from cleaning barns to training animals to participate in their own care, to planning and prepping their meals, diving into aquariums, or as extensive as performing medical procedures and surgeries. Over in Rafiki’s Planet Watch, you can actually watch them as they perform some of these medical procedures. You can see first hand how much they care for these animals as they work so delicately, and compassionately with them.

It is remarkable how passionate the team is to these animals. With over 1,700 animals that represent 250 different species, it is no easy feat to care for all these animals. The caretakers at Disney make it possible with their passion and dedication and this week we celebrate them. This Year’s Holiday Alex and Ani Bangles Sparkle And Dazzle

There are plenty of festive offerings to get excited for this holiday season at the Disney Parks! There will also be some sparkly eye candy with the new Holiday Alex and Ani Bangles to show off your festive cheer too! Two gorgeous bangles will be released this holiday season, inspired by the themes of this year’s collections.

An “ugly sweater” Alex and Ani bangle celebrates the fun traditions of the holiday season. This is a gold toned bangle, that has a sweater shaped charm. Colored enamel in cheerful red, and festive green recreate the cozy sweater. This collection pairs fabulously with the Farmhouse Christmas Mickey collection too, just imagine how cute this would look with the Buffalo Check Minnie Ears!

Next up is the deliciously cute Disney Christmas Snacks bangle! This silver toned bangle features THREE charms! A coin charm that reads “The Yummiest Time of Year” really sums it all up if you ask me. Then there is a peppermint swirl Mickey head, and a gingerbread Minnie pop. Disney’s EarPort Store At MCO Closing For Refurbishment

Who doesn’t remember arriving to Orlando and being welcomed by the classic facade of the EarPort store, and taken an obligatory picture there? It was a must!!

Unfourtunally Disney’s Earport located in terminal A of Orlando International Airport is about to close for refurbishment on July 29.

The newly renovated store is set to open on November 2019, and to have a similar look to the Magic Of Disney Store located in terminal B with a design that includes oversized digital displays and a curated collection of merchandise from apparel and accessories to home goods and the latest Disney trends.

Disney Parks Drama Sparks “Why I Got Kicked Out Of Disney” Trend Online. With a family breaking out into a fight in the middle of Toontown in Disneyland, a woman punching a Cast Member in the Face at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and an angry mom’s tweet about childless adults at Disney Parks, it has not been the most magical couple of weeks in regards to Disney Parks in the news.

First and foremost, we want you all to know that Disney’s number one goal at their theme parks is safety for their guests and Cast Members. That does not mean that incidents do not occur on occasion, and Disney does their best to actively put safety above all else. Despite their best efforts, sometimes not so magical things happen which has started the trending hashtag #WhyIGotKickedOutOfDisney on Twitter.

Mickey Celebration Donut Remians in Magic Kingdom at New Location

Guess what?! The Mickey celebration donut is staying in the Magic Kingdom! Guests were worried the new GIANT treat would be gone for good and we were secretly hoping they would keep the iconic shaped treat. Disney listened!

Joining the world of Mickey-shaped treats, these giant donuts that are the size of your face debuted earlier this year. Originally, guests could find this new iconic Mickey-shaped treat at The Launching Pad in Tomorrowland. Offered in three different flavors, chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry, this treat sells for only $8.99! However, originally the release of these donuts in May said it would only remain in the Magic Kingdom until June.

Now, guests can purchase this Mickey celebration donut at the Main Street Bakery!! However, the Main Street Bakery will only be selling the chocolate and vanilla giant donuts. Don’t worry, though! Dance your way down to the Cheshire Café to purchase the Strawberry Mickey Celebration Donut.

There you have it! Everyone get your ears on…and grub on…as you continue to enjoy the new celebration donut now available at the Main Street Bakery and Cheshire Café! Enjoy, friends!

Festive New Disney Holiday Bags From Loungefly And More

Get ready to accessorize with festive style this holiday season at the Disney Parks. You can expect new New Disney Holiday Bags from Loungefly, Dooney & Bourke and more this holiday season. We were thrilled to check check out the two new Loungefly bags, and an event exclusive bag for Festival of the Holidays.

There will also be Dooney & Bourke bags coming for this year’s holiday season, but they were not available at preview time.

The Festival of the Holidays bag is shaped like a Christmas bulb ornament! Shimmery metallic fabric recreates the delicate glass bulb, while shiny silver mimics the ornament cap. A gold rope is strung for the strap, and the cap is topped with a festive green bow.

The bag is dated Festival of the Holidays 2019 in gold! The Chip and Dale artwork for the event is attached to the front as an embroidered appliqué.

On the back you’ll find a silver zipper, and inside there is plenty of room to fit all of your necessities! This is a Disney brand bag, that you can look for when the Festival of the Holidays returns to Epcot beginning November 29th.

The Disney snacks Christmas theme gets it’s very own Loungefly mini backpack! All of our favorite Disney treats have been given a holiday makeover, and are striped across this sleek black mini backpack. This bag has all of the great functionality and pockets as the original Disney x Loungefly mini backpacks! This bag will also coordinate perfectly with several of the new Holiday Disney Spirit Jerseys too. It is also high up on my Santa wish list!

Speaking of Santa, there is also a new Loungefly cosplay mini backpack for Christmas! Featuring none other than the main mouse himself, Mickey as Santa Clause! This bag is very detailed too. Lots of faux fur trims the bag like Santa’s iconic suit, and Mickey’s likeness is stitched with layers of faux vegan leather on the front of the bag. Three dimensional elements include Santa’s belt and buckle, hat, and Mickey’s iconic ears!

That isn’t where the details end though. Just like Santa’s suit this red bag is VELVET!! Smooth velvet is trimmed by metallic leather for a look that is whimsical, but elegant.

New construction photos have been captured of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. For a while, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has been under construction at Epcot for some time, since it was first announced back in August 2017 at D23! However, from new construction photos of the attraction, it looks as though progress is being made!

The twitter account Bioreconstruction shows the new construction photos of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! The new images show the current progress of the attraction mainly the exterior of the attraction’s facade. Check out the image below!

What do we know so far about Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure?

We are hoping the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Ride in Walt Disney World to be similar to the ride currently in the Walt Disney Studios Park, Disneyland Paris. The ride in Disneyland Paris is a trackless, 4D dark ride that allows guests to feast on their senses. Throughout the ride, Remy and friends have cooked up a delicious storm, but it’s not long before they are discovered by Chef Skinner! Guests are then taken on an adventurous ride as Chef Skinner chases you through the sights, sounds and smells of Gusteau’s famous Parisian restaurant.

Disney+ Launch Day Full Lineup Announced! Starting in November 2019, Disney will be launching an all new streaming service including content from almost every platform The Walt Disney Company oversees including: Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney-Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight, and BlueSky.
