Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige Confirms There Will Be An ‘Avengers 5’

Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige Confirms There Will Be An ‘Avengers 5′. Despite the sacrificial loss of Black Widow, Iron Man, and Captain America’s return to the past, Marvel Studios still plans on creating a fifth Avengers film, this time with some new members.

During Marvel’s Hall H panel and San Diego Comic Con, tons of news involving the studio was released including the timeline for Phase 4 of the MCU and some exciting plans for Phase 5! One of the most exciting and overlooked portions of the panel was Kevin Feige’s confirmation that an Avengers 5  is on the horizon. When asked about who we will see on the new “Avengers” team, Feige was ever allusive, but his comments are still a cause for excitement about the next stage for the Avengers.

Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige Confirms There Will Be An 'Avengers 5'

“Yes. It will be a very different team than we’ve seen before. That’s what Endgame was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you’ve already met and some you haven’t met yet.”

Feige continued, “Well it’s what I love about the Marvel comic method of storytelling. That’s not anything we invented, I love that things build up, they build to a crescendo, they all get together, they separate, they change. And now we get to do that, not just in movies but in these mega event series on Disney Plus, [which] has just invigorated all of us at Marvel Studios to keep going.”

Feige continued to discuss how Marvel Fans will have to wait until Phase 5 of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) to see the line up for the next team of Avengers saying how some of the characters we saw in Avengers: Endgame will play a role in the make up of the team, and other members have yet to make an appearance on the big screen.

There is no end in sight for Marvel Studios and it seems the film studio is ready to create new content and to further explore their established characters with creative storytelling. Be sure to check out all the amazing content coming to Disney Plus (Disney+) and the next Phase of the MCU!

Power Outage at Disney Springs leave guests in the dark

Disney Springs

About 35 minutes ago the power went out in Disney Springs according to guests visiting the park.

It looks like it is isolated to just the West Side of Disney Springs

Most of the restaurants are running on backup power and guests are being turned away.

No word on why the power has gone out but we have heard that a transformer is the cause of the incident.

Acclaimed voice actor and Disney Legend Russi Taylor passed away in Glendale California

Acclaimed voice actor and Disney Legend Russi Taylor passed away in Glendale California

Acclaimed voice actor and Disney Legend Russi Taylor passed away in Glendale, California, on July 26, 2019. She was 75.

Through countless effervescent performances, Russi always showed an incredible talent for entertaining and improvisation. While she brought to life an illustrious cast of beloved characters during a career that spanned nearly four decades, Russi is best known as the official voice of Minnie Mouse. She first assumed the role more than 30 years ago and has given voice to Minnie in hundreds of Disney projects—from television, to theme park experiences, animated shorts, and theatrical films—no performance was too tough for Russi’s accomplished take on the divine Miss Minnie Mouse.

“Minnie Mouse lost her voice with the passing of Russi Taylor,” said Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “For more than 30 years, Minnie and Russi worked together to entertain millions around the world—a partnership that made Minnie a global icon and Russi a Disney Legend beloved by fans everywhere. We’re so grateful for Russi’s talent as well as the tremendous spirit and great joy she brought to everything she did. It was a privilege to have known her and an honor to have worked with her, and we take comfort in the knowledge that her work will continue to entertain and inspire for generations to come. Russi will be sorely missed and our hearts go out to her family and friends, along with our deepest condolences.”

Acclaimed voice actor and Disney Legend Russi Taylor passed away in Glendale California

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on May 4, 1944, Russi had a desire to work for Disney since childhood. “When I was a little girl, I was with my mom and my brother, and it was late at night at Disneyland. We had just come off the Mark Twain Riverboat and were getting some popcorn. I looked over and saw Walt sitting on a bench, so we introduced ourselves and shared our popcorn with him. At one point during our chat, he asked me what I wanted to do when I grow up, and I said, ‘I want to work for you!’ So he said, ‘Okay!’—and now I do!”

There were some very big yellow heels to fill when she beat out 200 other hopefuls during a 1986 audition to win the coveted role of Minnie Mouse. She would go on to voice Minnie in the films Who Framed Roger RabbitRunaway BrainGet a Horse!, and Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers, as well as several television series, including Mickey MouseWorksHouse of MouseMickey Mouse ClubhouseMickey and the Roadster Racers, and the award-winning Mickey Mouse shorts series for Disney Channel from Disney Television Animation that debuted in 2013.

“Russi was as close as family; as wonderful, funny, and sweet as Minnie Mouse, and as talented yet humble as you would expect,” said Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy and a longtime friend of Russi. “I will deeply and dearly miss her.”

“You have to bring yourself to a character,” Russi once observed. “But because of this particular character, she actually enhances who I am, she really does. In a sense Minnie makes me better than I was before ’cause there’s a lot to live up to.”

Russi found her real-life Mickey in the mid-1980s in the form of Wayne Allwine, who had voiced Mickey Mouse since 1977. The pair fell deeply in love and married in 1991, remaining as inseparable as their animated counterparts until Wayne’s passing in 2009.  “I really want whoever comes after us to be aware of the history and the tradition, and to love the characters as much as we do,” she said of herself and Wayne.

“Russi Taylor embodied the character of Minnie Mouse,” remembers Rick Dempsey, Senior Vice President, Disney Character Voices. “She truly was one of the kindest, most gracious, upbeat, and loving people I have ever had the privilege to work with and to count as a friend. Anytime anyone met Russi, their day would always get just a little bit brighter. Not only was she amazingly talented and gifted, but she had a true desire to make the world a better place with the gifts she was blessed with. The world has a lost a real treasure. She will truly be missed, but her voice will live on.”

Russi’s other Disney voices have included Nurse Mouse in The Rescuers Down Under, as well as Donald’s mischievous nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and their friend Webbigail Vanderquack in the original DuckTales animated series. She also lent her voice to roles on other classic TV animated series like TaleSpinThe Little MermaidBuzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Kim Possible; as well as modern favorites that include Sofia the FirstThe Lion Guard, and Tangled: The Series.

Among the most famous roles on Russi’s impressive extended resume of credits are Strawberry Shortcake, Baby Gonzo (of Muppet Babies fame), Pebbles Flintstone, Duchess the Cat in the film Babe, and Ferny Toro in Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks. She also provided the voice of Martin Prince and the twins, Sherri and Terri, on more than 100 episodes of The Simpsons, as well as the blockbuster feature The Simpsons Movie.

“I never wanted to be famous,” she once said. “The characters I do are famous, and that’s fine for me.”

Kristen Bell Discusses How ‘Frozen 2’ Has Grown Up With Its Audience

Kristen Bell Discusses How 'Frozen 2' Has Grown Up With Its Audience

Kristen Bell Discusses How ‘Frozen 2‘ Has Grown Up With Its Audience. After her panel at San Diego Comic Con 2019, star of Frozen 2, Kristen Bell, sat down with Comicbook.com and discussed her current and upcoming work, including the highly anticipated sequel to Disney’s Hit Film, Frozen.

“You know I can’t tell you anything, Disney is so tight-lipped about it. What can I say? I have seen parts of it, because when we record we see things, I haven’t seen the whole thing, but I’ve obviously read the script. It is not ‘Episode II’ of Frozen,” Bell told ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

Kristen Bell Discusses How 'Frozen 2' Has Grown Up With Its Audience

“It is a story that we waited a long time so that it would reveal itself to the creators. What is the next progression in these characters’ lives that needs to be told? Not just like, ‘What’s another storyline we could do?’” Despite rumors on the internet, Kristen Bell did NOT call the sequel “a little more adult,” but does think “it grew up a little bit.”

“It’ll still be appropriate for kids and kids will still love it, but these girls have grown up as well a little bit,” Bell said. “I think the original fans of Frozen, who were little girls and now might not think it’s for them, will be pleasantly surprised,” Bell stated.

Kristen Bell Discusses How 'Frozen 2' Has Grown Up With Its Audience

Co-Directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck also discussed how they wanted to do “more than a sequel” and have really put effort into creating a new story involving the royal sisters of Arendelle and their loved ones. “I think the big thing for me is, we weren’t going to do a sequel,” Lee told Slashfilm.

“[Chris Buck] and I were like, ‘That story’s done.’ But then one day we just made the mistake of talking about something and going, ‘Oh my gosh. That’s the thing we still haven’t explored, and it’s important.’ Then I spent time writing these journals as the girls. I didn’t do it from exactly [copying the original] because I can’t. And if we tried to do it that way, I think we would have something very hollow.”

“So just like the first one, I approached it from the inside out, because I have to,” Lee said. “So I hope — but in some ways, it gives it that inevitable feeling and yet surprise. ‘Oh, it’s going there!’ But yet it completely feels like that’s the journey they have. So that’s my hope.”

Frozen 2 Teaser Trailer

“Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell) will next journey beyond their kingdom to uncover the secret behind Elsa’s icy powers, making a dangerous trek alongside friends Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), Sven and Olaf (Josh Gad).” Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen 2 premieres in theaters November 22, 2019.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Swings Past $1 Billion At Global Box Office

Spider-Man: Far From Home Swings Past $1 Billion At Global Box Office

Spider-Man: Far From Home Swings Past $1 Billion At Global Box Office. 2019 has been a fantastic year for Disney and Marvel Studios, with the last three films in the MCU crossing over the $1 Billion threshold at box offices worldwide.

The Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Quinten Beck/Mysterio) led film takes place where Avengers: Endgame left off. With the world asking, “Who will replace Tony Stark/Iron Man as Earth’s Greatest Defender? Will Peter ever get to enjoy his summer vacation abroad with his friends and tell MJ how he feels? Or will his responsibility as Spider-Man get in the way?” If you haven’t seen Spider-Man: Far From Home we highly recommend seeing it in theaters before it swings onto Digital and DVD.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Swings Past $1 Billion At Global Box Office

During this week, Spider-Man: Far From Home became the third Marvel Studios film to pass the $1 Billion mark, and according to THR is currently sitting at $1.005 Billion and is expected to make millions more over the weekend.

So far all Disney and Marvel Studios films released in 2019, including Marvel’s Captain Marvel, Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, and Marvel’s Spider-Man:Far From Home, have made over $1 Billion at the global box offices. Avengers: Endgame also became the highest grossing film of all time, with over $2.792 Billion at the time of writing in the global box office. The previous record was held by James Cameron’s Avatar, which held the record for the last decade.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Swings Past $1 Billion At Global Box Office

Spider-Man: Far From Home is directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Far From Home picks up after the events of Endgame, as Tom Holland’s Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) and Samuel Jackson’s Nick Fury adjust to a world without Iron Man and other key Avengers to defend it.”

Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of Spider-Man: Far From Home and to Marvel Studios for another box office success!
