The Cocktails At The Edison’s Winter Wonderland Are Bound To Put You In The Christmas Spirit

The Cocktails At The Edison’s Winter Wonderland Are Bound To Put You In The Christmas Spirit

Good tidings for Christmas can be found this holiday season at The Edison. We were invited to try some of their amazing new holiday cocktails and were amazed by the variety of flavor. If this doesn’t get you in the holiday spirit then I don’t know what will. The Edison is always such an amazing spot and add some holiday decor and good cheer and we’re sold.

The Cocktails At The Edison’s Winter Wonderland Are Bound To Put You In The Christmas Spirit The Cocktails At The Edison’s Winter Wonderland Are Bound To Put You In The Christmas Spirit

Here’s the Cocktail Menu:

Shake things up this winter with “The Last Coconut in San Juan,” a festive Sazerac cocktail featuring Hennessy VS, Malibu Rum, Faretti Biscotti, cinnamon cordial, simple syrup, half & half, coconut milk, and a dusting of ground cinnamon.

This packed the most punch and left us with a fun island Christmas vibe! Give me some palm trees and some Florida winter weather with this delicious cocktail.

Cozy up this holiday season with a steaming mug of “Hot Apple Pie,” a blissful brew complete with Stillhouse Moonshine, cinnamon cordial, apple cider, and garnished with a cinnamon stick for a crisp treat guaranteed to bring tidings of comfort and joy.

This had to be my favorite! It really made me want to curl up next to a fire and sip a few of these. If you need me I’ll be cuddling enjoy my holiday season with this.

The Cocktails At The Edison’s Winter Wonderland Are Bound To Put You In The Christmas Spirit

Tis the season for “The Winter Waltz,” made with a jolly mix of crème de Cacao, Faretti Biscotti, a splash of cream, a drop of Woodford Chocolate Bitters, and topped with golden brown toasted marshmallows.

This was another delicious pick! It was sweet and reminded me of all the yummy cookies you enjoy during the holiday. Like the dessert of cocktails. It was really enjoyable and smooth.

“Deck The Halls” with boughs of holly to spread good cheer while sipping on this merry blend of Tanqueray 10, cranberry juice, cinnamon cordial, Angostura bitters, pineapple juice, Q Ginger Beer, and ornamented with a sprig of fresh rosemary.

This cocktail was an acquired taste. It was designed to taste like what you imagine when you think of Christmas. The rosemary is supposed to represent pine. It was still good but not my first choice. It did however taste like they described it to be.

The Cocktails At The Edison’s Winter Wonderland Are Bound To Put You In The Christmas Spirit

The most wonderful time of the year calls for a glass of “Mellow and Toasted,” boasting Mellow Corn Whiskey, simple syrup, heavy cream, Woodford Chocolate Bitters, and a sweet dash of Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract. It’s topped with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon and is decorated with one perfectly toasted marshmallow for good measure.

This was another crowd pleaser! The cinnamon was such an amazing touch! I could definitely imagine sitting around with family this holiday sipping some of these.

The Cocktails At The Edison’s Winter Wonderland Are Bound To Put You In The Christmas Spirit

No matter which one you choose (or try them all! No judgment here we did) The Edison should definitely be a stop on your holiday plans. It’s the perfect spot to relax and have some drinks with friends and family and let the stress of the holidays go. Thanks again to The Edison for inviting us to try these amazing cocktails. We can’t wait to go back. You can try these amazing cocktails for the rest of the holiday season too, for more information you can visit The Edison’s website here.

The New Eggnog Cupcake At Wilderness Lodge Will Definitely Put You In The Holiday Spirit

The New Eggnog Cupcake At Wilderness Lodge Will Definitely Put You In The Holiday Spirit

The Walt Disney World Resort has definitely been blessing us with some amazing holiday treats this season. This new Eggnog Cupcake at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge may be my new favorite. The Eggnog Cupcake had so much flavor packed in and was perfect to sit by the fireplace in the lobby, stare at that beautiful Christmas tree, and indulge in this delicious snack.

The New Eggnog Cupcake At Wilderness Lodge Will Definitely Put You In The Holiday Spirit

The New Eggnog Cupcake At Wilderness Lodge Will Definitely Put You In The Holiday Spirit

The Eggnog Cupcake was basically holidays  in a cupcake. The cake was eggnog flavor while the buttercream frosting was nutmeg. A bourbon cream filling completed this amazing snack. It was one of the best cupcakes I’ve gotten to try on property. It’s been amazing to see all the different holiday treats offered this year.

You can get this amazing seasonal cupcake at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge at Roaring Fork. It’s $5.99 or a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. This was such a large cupcake and could be shared (do people share cake?!) but it’s so amazing you may need your own.

Snowball Express Honors Families of Fallen Heroes with Magical Trip

Gary Sinise Snowball Express

There is nothing anyone can do to replace a loved one that is gone.  The Gary Sinise Foundation, however, has done everything they can to give 650+ families of fallen heroes a trip to remember.

Families fly in on special flights Saturday morning joining with many other families who share this common, though never desired, bond.  They are greeted on Disney property by music, applause, characters, activities, and resources.

Snowball Express Honors Families of Fallen Heroes with Magical Trip

Then the fun begins!  Families had the opportunity to go to the Animal Kingdom while it was closed to all others.  Then they had a park day to hop and ride, eat and laugh.  Many families chose Hollywood Studios because of the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.  Some of the families even got to ride Rise of the Resistance without a boarding group! In each of the parks, volunteers were stationed to help families have the best time possible.

Their final day at Walt Disney World is the most special.  Before sunrise families board busses to have a special morning in the Magic Kingdom.

Snowball Express Honors Families of Fallen Heroes with Magical Trip

Before coming to the Magic Kingdom, family members wrote notes on scrolls to their fallen family member.  These notes were collected before the families entered for something special later in the morning.

Once inside, families had a time of remembrance with Gary Sinise and the Voices of Liberty.  The national anthem was a particularly emotional and beautiful time.  After a few words, Gary led the families down Main Street to Cinderella’s Castle.  This, however, was no ordinary stroll.

The street was surrounded by hundreds of Disney cast members applauding, waving, high-fiving, and cheering so loud that the children couldn’t help but smile.  Disney also let it “snow” for the families as they made the walk to the castle.

Once they approached the castle Mickey Mouse came on stage with Gary Sinise to tell them just how amazing they are.  Family members had all been given a bell to ring for a large portion of the presentation to show their thoughts and hearts were still with the fallen hero.

The sound of all the ringing along brings tears could bring tears to your eyes.

All of the scrolls were placed in a large celebratory bowl and then became the center of the display.  Fireworks danced all around the bowl and then the castle as children’s voices were heard telling their parents how much they missed them and wished they could’ve been on this trip with them.   The fireworks and production were simply beautiful.

Families hugged, cried and took many pictures to remember this moment.  Then it was off to an amazing day in the Magic Kingdom highlighted by a morning dance party with Mickey Mouse and the graduating senior children leading the Festival of Fantasy Parade.

In the final evening, Gary Sinise and his band treated the families to a concert at Epcot.  Although many of them had to leave early the next morning, the families stayed a little longer just to be in the place where others understood them and the magic was real for just a little longer.

If you want to give back to veterans, first responders, and families like these the Gary Sinise Foundation is constantly blessing families who have served.  Here is a link to give: https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/donate/.

Thank you Gary for allowing me to play a small role in volunteering and getting to meet these incredible people!

Blessed beyond measure.
