Pierce Brosnan Joins Cast of Sony’s Live-Action ‘Cinderella’ Musical. Sony welcomes James Bond star, Pierce Brosnan as The King in their latest project, a live-action Cinderella musical.

The cast currently includes Camila Cabello (Cinderella), Nicholas Galitzine (Prince Robert), Idina Menzel (Evil Step-Mother), Billy Porter (Fairy Godmother), along with newcomer, Pierce Brosnan as The King.

THR shares, “The Columbia project reimagines the traditional Cinderella story in which our heroine is an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow.”

Jonathan Kadin and Shannon McIntosh are set to produce alongside story creator James Corden and fellow Producer Leo Pearlman, with Louise Rosner acting as Executive Producer.

Author Rick Riordan and ‘Percy Jackson’ Fans Want A ‘Percy Jackson’ Disney+ Series. Rick Riodan’s Best Selling Series, Percy Jackson, has seen a resurgence of support for a live-action adaption from fans after a stage adaption of the popular YA book series was well received by audiences. The movement has become so popular it sparked a hashtag on social media, #DisneyAdaptPercyJackson.

You may be asking, “Wait… Wasn’t that already a movie?” Well, Yes, but the films made by 20th Century Fox were wildly disappointing to avid Percy Jackson fans, and the fanbase has turned to Disney to re-adapt the books, possibly as a Disney+ Series. This would make sense since Disney has recently acquired Fox. The movement has started to make waves and caught the attention of author Rick Riordan, who seems to be reaching out on behalf of fans everywhere.

Rick shared to Twitter, “Thank you, guys, for getting this trending with no prompting.. I have nothing to announce on this front yet, but I am in LA right now, trying hard to convince the powers-that-be that this needs to happen for you, the fans. You enthusiasm online helps!”

Fans have been sharing their support online and their emotional plea to see Percy Jackson “done right” this time, and the chance to see the characters stories told with the same passion as they were shared in the book series.

There is no word yet if Disney plans to answer this call to action, but Disney+ would be a fitting home for the series should a deal be struck.

The Oogie Boogie Bash is returning to Disney California Adventure in 2020!

You can spot the boogey-man himself in DCA next Halloween season! His antics were so entertaining last year that Disney has invited him back to spook guests again.

The Oogie Boogie Bash ia separately ticketed event that takes place in September and October. Oogie Boogie, the “monster of scare-e-monies”, has gathered his spooky pals for an evening of entertainemnt, attractions, and Halloween fun.

‘Frozen II’ Soundtrack Reaches No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart

‘Frozen II’ Soundtrack Reaches No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Billboard shared the news that Frozen II has now risen to the Number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, and is the first animated movie to reach No. 1 since the release of Frozen in 2014.

Billboard shared, “The Frozen 2 soundtrack jumps to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as the set rises 3-1 with 80,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Dec. 5, according to Nielsen Music. It’s the first week at No. 1 for the album. The set was released on Nov. 15 via Walt Disney Records, and is the companion album to the blockbuster animated sequel film [Frozen II].”

“The Frozen 2 soundtrack features performances of songs heard in the film by the movie’s voice actors (including Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff and Evan Rachel Wood) and a trio of acts that cover some of the film’s tunes (Panic! at the Disco, Kacey Musgraves and Weezer).”

Walt Disney World Cast Members donate nearly 30,000 toys to Toys for Tots

Year after year, the Central Florida community comes together to provide holiday gifts to local children and families through the annual U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. This year, Orlando-area coordinator of the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots, Sgt. Evans, identified age groups 0-3 years old and 10-15 years old as the most high-demand for toy needs.

Sgt. Evans also identified the below items as being most-needed in each age category:

Infants: Learning toys, plush toys, push/walk toys
Toddlers: Interactive and learning toys, plush toys, books
Ages 4–7: Toy cars, dolls, books
Ages 8–12: Board games, arts & crafts
Ages 13–15: Teen-style watches and jewelry, sports equipment, bath and perfume sets, board games, small electronics

In the span of just three weeks, Walt Disney World Cast Members donated nearly 30,000 toys to Toys for Tots, which will benefit thousands of Central Florida children this holiday season, including those recently displaced by Hurricane Dorian.

Disney VoluntEARS will also be volunteering for the cause throughout the month, coming together to prepare the Toys for Tots warehouse and sort donated toys for distribution.

For over 15 years, Cast Members from Walt Disney World Resort have supported the annual toy collection drive, donating more than 430,000 toys to local children and families to date.

This Churro Shake Is A Must Try At Schmoozies

Disney California Adventure Park is in full holiday spirit from decor to delicious treats! Schmoozies has joined in on the festivities and is presenting seasonal offerings that are super delicious!

This year, Schmoozies is rolling out a festive seasonal offerings menu with something all guests can enjoy. One of our favorite items for the season, is the new Churro Shake! This shake is made with brown sugar-cinnamon ice cream. Then, the shake is topped with whipped cream, churro cereal, and churro toffee. This delectable shake is served in a cup with a cinnamon and sugar rim. The cinnamon in this shake definitely gives guests a taste of the holidays while also being reminiscent of a favorite park snack!

Although the Churro Shake is definitely one of our favorites from Schmoozies, the rest of the holiday menu is worth checking out! The other seasonal shake that we have grown to love is the Peppermint Mickey Shake. This shake is as cute as it is yummy. Another good treat is the Minnie Wreath Donut! This shareable snack is filled with a chocolate peppermint ganache. Pair this donut with a Peppermint Holiday Affogato and you are ready to take on the parks! Don’t forget to catch Mickey’s Happy Holidays parade while at Disney California Adventure Park!

The annual list of influential films that span both genres and decades was announced Wednesday, December 12th, by Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden. Among the films, 2 Disney Movies are being added to the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress – Old Yeller & Sleeping Beauty.

Bob Iger might have the James Bond franchise in his crosshairs

After winning Time’s Businessperson of the Year yesterday, Bob Iger hinted at possibly buying the James Bond franchise sometime in the future.

In his interview, he talks about the future of Disney and looking at other franchises like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and even James Bond.

“We’re not looking to buy anything right now. But, I’ve always been a huge James Bond fan.”

Could this mean that Disney is thinking about buying James Bond or merely that he is just a big fan? I am sure there have been talks about bringing them under the Disney umbrella but the stars and dollars have to align perfectly for Disney to consider such a substantial purchase.

For now, just chalk this up to internet gossip.
