Disney warning guests not to use Trundle Beds at the Riviera Resort

Guests staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort are being asked not to use the new pull-down trundle beds after an accident occurred on the first day of the resort opening.

This notice is being placed on the bed stating that the beds are out of order.

The notice reads:

“We apologize for the inconvenience. This trundle bed is out of order and for your safety, it cannot be used at this time. We want to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. If you planned to use this bed, please contact the Front Desk so alternative arrangements can be provided.”

A post in The Secret Disney Group is what prompted Disney to put all of the trundle beds out of order where the bed became detached from the wall and fell on a guest.

The guests alerted the front desk at the Riviera Resort immediately and Disney asked them if they needed to call 911. They declined assistance since the injury was only a bump and scrape, according to the post. The picture has been widely circulated on social media.

They recently posted an update stating Disney was very accommodating by giving them a newly upgraded room. Their mother is still in neck & back pain but following up with a doctor.
At the time they can not discuss further details because the situation is still ongoing.

No official statement has been released by Disney and I am sure they are playing on the side of caution and put the notices up on all of the beds till they can make sure they are 100% safe for all guests.

Spoiler Free Review: Star Wars- The Rise of Skywalker

The latest installment of the Star Wars franchise is only days away from hitting box offices from coast to coast. We have your first insight into “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” with absolutely no spoilers!

The “Rise of Skywalker” is the end to the trilogy that was originally set out by director, J.J. Abrams. The second film, The Last Jedi, was the work of Rian Johnson. Now, the 9th episode in the franchise has come full circle with Abrams at the forefront again. Abrams hits all the nostalgic notes that fans know and loved from a Star Wars film. From the iconic scene changes to the humorous tone, this film gives fans something they can relate to.

In this feature, the cast reunites and the chemistry between all of them is so fun to watch. It gives fans the closure they have been seeking with this characters from the recent and past trilogies. The new characters provide a breath of fresh air to the Star Wars family and the definitely did not disappoint!

Visually, “The Rise of Skywalker” is stunning. A Star Wars film is known for those long landscape shots just as the score builds and this feature delivered on both accounts. The emotion really built as well. The cast really did an amazing job with the pressure mounting over the end of a trilogy.

“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” will take fans and viewers on another epic and unforgettable adventure!

You don’t want to miss this feature film when it debuts in theaters on December 20th! Have fun and may the force be with you!

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Press Conference

The highly anticipated 9th episode of the Star Wars franchise is just days away from its public’s release.” Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” debuts in theaters on December 20th. We had the amazing opportunity to hear from the cast and creators during the global press conference. Following, is what they had to say about Episode 9 of the beloved franchise.

Director, J.J. Abrams talked about his return to the franchise after “The Last Jedi“, directed by Rian Johnson. Abrams felt that Johnson has set things up such as the cast being separated in the Last Jedi. It gave Abrams the opportunity to reunite the cast for another grand adventure.

President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, spoke on why she believes Abrams was perfect to adapt the films he did for the franchise. Kathleen states, “…the one thing I know about Star Wars and the one thing I know about these kinds of tentpole movies is this unique combination of needing dramatic storytelling, gravitas, and a great sense of humor”. Kennedy believes because Abrams has these qualities in his film making that he was perfect for the development of The Force Awakens and Rise of Skywalker.

The legendary Billy Dee Williams reprises his role as Lando Calrissian in this film. Williams said that even though he hasn’t seen the other films in the trilogy, that it was easy for him to jump right back into his role. He also was very thrilled to work with J.J. Abrams and said that he was extraordinary.

The cast from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi returns along with a few new-comers. Keri Russel takes on a new character, “Zorii Bliss”. Joonas Suotamo assumes the role of Chewbacca after Peter Mayhew’s unfortunate passing earlier this year.

Possible Train Station at Disney World in Advanced Negotiations

Earlier this year it was announced that Virgin Trains wanted to build a train station near Walt Disney World for a line that would run from Central Florida to South Florida. Disney and Virgin have both confirmed that they are in “advanced talks” about a station on or near theme-park property as part of a route to Tampa.

“As the top vacation destination and largest single-site employer in the United States, Walt Disney World Resort is an obvious choice for a rail station between Orlando International Airport and Tampa. While we have not yet made any definitive commitment, we have mutually agreed to more formally explore developing a train station on our property,” Disney officials said in a statement.

Virgin Trains is currently working on a $4 billion, 160 mile expansion that runs from West Palm Beach to Orlando International Airport. Their stations in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach are hubs for real-estate development while the station at the Orlando International Airport will only be for transportation.

It is yet to be determined whether the new station connecting Walt Disney World to Tampa will be tied to real-estate development.

“When you look at the millions of out-of-state visitors traveling to Florida, as well as the 21 million residents of the state, providing a car-free option would be a big win,” said Ben Porritt, a Virgin senior vice president.

The holidays are just days away and the Downtown Disney District has got something special for you and your loved ones! At the Catal Restaurant, guests can celebrate Christmas and New Year’s with specially crafted menus that are perfect for the holidays!

On Christmas Eve, Catal Restaurant will feature a deliciously prepared pix fixe menu for guests. The delectable feast will feature Mediterranean cuisine. Starters will include a Filet Carpaccio and a Mini Lobster Salad. The main entrees will feature a delicious Baja Bass, a sumptuous Braised Short Rib Pasta, Lamb Loin, and Diver Scallops. For dessert, on the menu is a festive Egg-Nog Pot De Creme that is topped with a snicker doodle crumble and a tasty Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Cake. There will also be an a la carte kid’s menu for any children ages 10 and younger.

On December 31st, ring in the New Year with a special menu provided by Catal Restaurant. This unique four course menu will include starters like a Tomato and Fennel Bisque, Beef Carpaccio, or Deviled Eggs. This Sweet New Disney Kitchen Collection Is The Cherry On Top

Something sweet has arrived at the Disney Parks! A brand new Disney Kitchen Collection that is inspired by, you guessed it, cherries! This new collection features Mickey and Minnie on kitchen wares with a fabulous cherry motif.

There are so many cute things, I really don’t know where to begin! So, I’ll start with my favorite part of the collection, the apron. I love Disney aprons, and this one is just too adorable. It features pockets with Mickey and Minnie, and a bounty of cherries all over. Some of the cherries might even be hidden Mickeys if you look close.

There is even a matching potholder and oven mitt set! Plus a set of tea towels which has a very romantic Mickey and Minnie cafe scene.

The collection also includes an assortment of old fashioned kitchen canisters, and containers. I especially love the recipe box, it’s a classic tradition that I really cherish.

I probably own more rolling pins than a person needs, but how can I resist this Mickey and Minnie cherry one? I’m sure this is one of those that I will say will just be for display, but I’ll use it anyways.

Of course if we’re going to get this gorgeous collection, we’ll have to put it to use baking some tasty treats! We can then display those treats on this beautiful ceramic pie tray.

There are a few other fun kitchen accessories like straws, notepads, and even notecards! These are fun accessories that will tie the theme of the collection together.

Flight of Passage Queue gets a Restroom

Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park has one of the longest wait times of any ride at Walt Disney World. If you’ve been to the parks during peak times, you may have experienced the long wait for yourself.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t always go that long without a bathroom break. Good news! There are now restrooms in the queue for Flight of Passage!

Thanks to the Tweet below, we can see there are 2 unisex restrooms installed in the queue. And in true Disney style, these restrooms fit right in with the theme of the attraction.

Gingerbread Display at Polynesian Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Resort added a fun Christmas surprise for guests to see! A line of gingerbread houses are now on display next to Kona Island Sushi Bar.

The Gingerbread House Competition is a fun contest for the culinary cast members. They built and assembled special gingerbread house displays for others to enjoy. Eagle-eyed Disney fans will immediately spot the Lilo & Stitch gingerbread house. The candy canes supporting the Hawaiian house add a Christmas twist to the design of Stitch’s family home!

You should take a close look at these gingerbread displays because the culinary artists paid attention to detail! Features such as snowman, gumdrop rooftops, and a candy doghouse are just a few of the delightful creations to see.

They even have a gingerbread Polynesian Resort! It’s a nice change of pace to see something besides the traditional gingerbread house. The craftsmanship and design is truly original since the culinary artists had to challenge themselves. The candy surfboards and Polynesian theming give a tropic twist to this gingerbread house.

Disney Springs is the place to be for all your holiday shopping needs but did you know it’s also a hub for delicious food and award-winning restaurants? If you’re visiting the area for shopping or entertainment, be sure to grab a bite to eat as well! There are some fantastic new eats and treats available now.

At Amorette’s Patisserie, grab a Holiday Petit Cake with Morello cherry, Chantilly, chocolate chiffon cake, and dark chocolate mousse. Or if you’re looking for a bigger cake for a celebration, you can order a Mickey Santa Dome Cake with flavors of chocolate chiffon, ice cream mousse, dark and white chocolate crispy pearls, and Chantilly cream.

Co-Writer for ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Finishes the Script for ‘Willow’ Series Coming to Disney+

Co-Writer for ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story‘ Finishes the Script for ‘Willow‘ Series Coming to Disney+. Lucasfilm President, Kathleen Kennedy spoke with the Los Angeles Times about the future of Lucasfilm, and made a point to share that Lucasfilm is about much more than just Star Wars.

“I’m very excited at the possibility of being able to do things that expand our portfolio a little bit,” Kennedy shared, “You realize there’s so much potential to do some pretty great things, and to expand beyond just ‘Star Wars’ is pretty exciting to think about.”

Solo: A Star Wars Story co-writer, Jonathan Kasdan, was tapped for the Willow reboot on Disney+. According to Kathleen, Kasdan has finished the script for the series and production should begin soon.

Other projects currently in the works for Lucasfilm include the untitled ‘Indiana Jones 5’ and ‘Children of Blood and Bone‘ who’s rights to the novel and story was acquired in the purchase of 20th Century Fox.
