Tom Holland, busy Hollywood actor and heartthrob “Spidey,” will be clearing his schedule to begin filming for a third Spider-man movie! Supposedly, plans are in place to begin filming the new movie in summer 2020 with a release date of July 16, 2021. Obviously, this could change but we’ll hope for the soonest release date possible!
Holland is very excited about the upcoming film explaining that, “there’s another deep connection to the next one for me which will be really cool to bring to life.” According to Holland, each of his Spider-man movies has had something that coincides with whatever is going on in his life- making the films pretty personal to him.
Since this will be the third Spider-man movie starring Tom Holland to come out, the creators have a bit of a different approach for the plot. The plan is to focus more on the troubles of Peter Parker and Spider-man instead of bringing in other Marvel characters to steal his thunder. Hopefully, we’ll be able to find out more information once the team begins filming!
Director James Gunn Shuts Down Rumors of Yondu’s Return to Guardians of the Galaxy. The Guardians of the Galaxy Director, James Gunn, shut down rumors that Michael Rooker may return as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after rumors have been swirling the internet for months.
It may just be wishful thinking but Gunn makes it very clear that Yondu is no longer alive in the MCU, but DOES hint that there may be room for flashbacks/memories that could incorporate the character in the future. Gunn was asked about the potential for Yondu’s return during a live Q&A on Instagram on Monday night, and the director was quick to respond with a decisive “No”.

“Not to life no,” Gunn replied in reference to Yondu’s fate. “If a character dies in my films they will likely stay dead. I think stakes are important.”
Gunn’s viewpoint makes total sense. The GotG and other Marvel characters need to understand that actions have consequences and you don’t just get to brush off death for a fan service. It has to make sense in the story and Yondu’s death was an act of true love to save Peter and show just how much he cared. Yondu’s story is one of compassion and shares that behind his rough exterior is a man who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect those he loves and cares about. Yondu’s sacrifice would mean nothing if he could just return.

Many fans were holding out hope for the character’s return after the reveal of a Multiverse theory in Avengers: Endgame could mean characters that have perished in previous films may still be alive and well in other universes, but despite this reveal, it seems Yondu will stay out of the main timeline of the MCU.
As for Michael Rooker, James Gunn has nothing but love for the man and was sad to go to work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 without his good friend.
“Michael Rooker, for all the crap I give him, is one of my closest friends in the world and the last thing I wanted to do was to make a movie without Michael Rooker in the future,” Gunn shared during a Facebook Live Q&A in 2017. “I almost didn’t do Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 because there was no Michael Rooker in it and I couldn’t see making the movie without him. He means that much to me and I love him that much.”

This is the first capacity closure of the 2019 holiday season at Walt Disney World.
Wait times for rides like Space Mountain & Seven Dwarf Mine Train are over 200 minutes.
In case you were wondering we have the breakdown of what to expect with a Phase B Closure at Walt Disney World:
Phase B: If Phase A has been implemented and crowd levels are still high, Disney may go to Phase B. This means that walk-ups will still be turned away as well as those staying off-site with single-day ticket. Guests hopping parks will also not be allowed in unless they meet the following criteria:
Guest of a Walt Disney World Resort (including Swan, Dolphin and Shades of Green)
Those staying at Select Good Neighbor Hotels
Residents of Golden Oak
Walt Disney World Annual and Premium Passholders or Premier Passholders
Guests with Advanced Dining Reservations including dessert parties.
Guests to Magic Kingdom with appointments at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, The Pirates League and Harmony Barber Shop
Guests who purchased Memory Maker
There is no word on when Phase B will be lifted but I expect we might see it go higher later in the afternoon.
In case you missed our post earlier the lines for getting into the Magic Kingdom were backed up for miles.
Will Darth Maul Return to Star Wars in ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2? It’s no secret to Star Wars fans that the Star Wars: Episode I villain, Darth Maul, managed to survive his thought to be fatal wounds from his battle against Qui -Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. His survival became canon in the films after he appeared as a hologram in Solo: A Star Wars Story and is now known to be in association with the Crimson Dawn.
Well, eagle eyed fans were quick to notice a rather interestingly timed release of a photo of Ray Park, the actor who portrayed Darth Maul, in full makeup for the character with the caption, “Meet me on Dathomir” that he shared on his Instagram account, @iamraypark, after the premiere of the Season 1 Finale of The Mandalorian.
Another actor who portrayed the character in Star Wars lore, Sam Witwer also shared an interesting tweet post finale premiere, of course referring to the reveal of the darksaber at the end of Episode 8, which is supposed to be in the hands of Darth Maul after the conquest of Mandalore. The darksaber was created by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian to become a Jedi, and was a “war trophy” for Maul after the fall of Mandalore during the Clone Wars. The last known wielder of the darksaber before Moff Gideon was Bo-Katan Kryze, as revealed at the end of Star Wars: Rebels.
I'm a little angry. No. Furious. Just watched Mandalorian.
So how does this all tie into The Mandalorian? The connection to the darksaber is the biggest thread here, and could possibly lead to Maul’s appearance in Season 2. It’s completely possible Moff Gideon and Darth Maul could be working together which is how Gideon could have acquired the formidable weapon.

Another place we may get to see Maul’s return is in the currently Untitled Kenobi Series also coming to Disney+. We know Darth Maul appears in Solo: A Star Wars Story, which is supposed to take place around the same time as the Kenobi Series in the Star Wars timeline. The matching of the timeline also makes sense since the fallen Sith would likely seek revenge on Obi-Wan Kenobi for literally cutting him in half in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Where ever Darth Maul appears in the films or various Star Wars series, we can not wait to see what epic storytelling is in store. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Star Wars!

Now that the first season of The Mandalorian on Disney+ is over, and we know that we won’t be seeing any new episodes until the fall of 2020, we have to find new ways to fill the void left by Mando and Baby Yoda’s absence. Of course, there’s tons of merchandise at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, but did you know that there’s also a Baby Yoda drink you can order at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar in Disneyland?
The Child is not anywhere to be found on the menu, so this is an insiders only beverage, but don’t worry because the bartender will know exactly what to do when you order it. The drink is a tropical mixture with notes of pineapple and coconut, blueberry eyes and lime ears. The little green head definitely shares some similarities with our favorite baby of an unknown species! Now the real question is whether you can actually ingest such a cute little guy, or whether you’ll try to smuggle him home instead. That may depend on how many drinks you have before this one!
If you’re a Star Wars fan who’ll be at the Disneyland Hotel anytime soon, be sure to head over to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and try this unique cocktail for yourself. Just tell the barkeep you want “The Child” or “The Baby Yoda Drink.” Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!
