‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Director Shares When the Series Takes Place in the MCU Timeline

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Director Shares When the Series Takes Place in the MCU Timeline. With the presence of James “Bucky” Barnes, it comes as no surprise that the upcoming Disney+ and Marvel Studios original series will take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The real question is, how long after “The Blip” does the series take place?

Director Kari Skogland shared in an interview with Collider that the series will take place 6 months after “The Blip” and explore the real world implications of such an event, as well as the personal journeys of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as they navigate a world without Steve Rogers as Captain America.

Skogland stated, “Everything narratively was informed by that event for us. It meant that we’re just past the shock of it. We’re just past the joy of it — because we’re imagining that there would be a lot of joy, in people returning. Now we’re into the reality of it, which is complicated. With half the population Blipped away, you’ve got different economic circumstances, different border circumstances. Different countries were cooperative, that weren’t before. Neighbors are cooperating, who weren’t necessarily getting along before. People moved into houses that they didn’t own before. Everything changed. Now we’re into that moment. We’re past the surprise of it and now we’re into the realities of it. I think that makes for a very different place in the story, because we can get not only grounded about it, but we can drill into how people respond to that. Some of it’s good and some of it’s not so good.

You can check out the trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier below, and be sure to catch the series premiere this Friday, March 19th exclusively on Disney+:

No screaming on California roller coasters according to State Guidelines

No screaming on California roller coasters according to State Guidelines

Theme parks in California can reopen soon under the state’s COVID risk guidelines. A new recommendation has come to light for said guidelines: no screaming on rides. Yep, you will now be asked to keep quiet on rides like the Incredicoaster and Big Thunder Mountain.

Update – California Attractions and Parks Association releases a statement on No Screaming Policy

No screaming on California roller coasters according to State Guidelines

Governor Newsom’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy calls for businesses, including theme parks, to limit activities like shouting and raised voices. Both are known to cause the increased spread of COVID-19.

The California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA), which represents Disneyland and other California theme parks, proposes that theme parks can “mitigate the effects of shouting” with mandatory face coverings and modified seat loading patterns on rides.

No screaming on California roller coasters according to State Guidelines

The concern regarding screaming or yelling while on a ride is that the microscopic droplets of saliva released could fly onto riders in the rear seats.

Roller coasters and screaming go together like Disneyland and churros! Have you ever tried to not scream while riding the wildest ride in the wilderness? Individual parks are not required to adopt the recommendations from the CAPA.

Disneyland will be reopening on April 30th with many Cast Members being recalled to work. Stay tuned to more here on Chip and Co!

New Castings Announced as Production Begins on ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’ for Disney+

New Castings Announced as Production Begins on 'Peter Pan and Wendy' for Disney+

New Castings Announced as Production Begins on ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’ for Disney+. Disney has announced that principal photography on the live-action adventure/fantasy “Peter Pan & Wendy” has commenced in Vancouver, Canada. The film is directed by David Lowery (“Pete’s Dragon”) and produced by Jim Whitaker (“Pete’s Dragon”). “Peter Pan & Wendy” will premiere on Disney+ in 2022.

Based on J. M. Barrie’s novel “Peter and Wendy” and inspired by the 1953 animated classic, “Peter Pan & Wendy” is the timeless tale of a young girl who, defying her parents’ wishes to attend boarding school, travels with her two younger brothers to the magical Neverland. There, she meets a boy who refuses to grow up, a tiny fairy and an evil pirate captain, and they soon find themselves on a thrilling and dangerous adventure far, far away from their family and the comforts of home.

Peter Pan has long been one of my favorite stories, partially because I’ve always resisted growing up, but also because of the heart, adventure and imagination that makes J.M. Barrie’s original tale so evergreen,” says David Lowery. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to redefine his iconic characters for a new generation – and even more excited that I get to do so with such an exceptional cast and crew.”

The airport announced that the Miramar-based airliner will move part of its operational control center — which helps it track flights — from South Florida to Orlando starting in June.
