Changes to the rooms will include a move to a Pacific Ocean-inspired color palette as well as details, patterns, and textures from Disney’s “Moana,” that takes place on the Polynesian island of Motunui.

As they continue to reopen additional Disney Resort hotels to Guests, the company is modifying the reopening date for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which will reopen next summer.

This schedule adjustment also allows Disney to complete some refurbishment work at the Resort hotel, including enhancements to the Great Ceremonial House and Guest rooms.

The Villas and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will remain open during this refurbishment.

The work began in early October. However, we look forward to sharing more about these changes in the future!

Marvel Studios is Interested in Casting Henry Cavill for Future Projects

Marvel Studios is Interested in Casting Henry Cavill for Future Projects

Marvel Studios is Interested in Casting Henry Cavill for Future Projects. For years insiders have shared that Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Witcher) is heavily on Marvel’s radar to join the MCU in various capacities. The latest rumors hint that he may have already been cast as Logan, aka The Wolverine as Marvel Studios begins to introduce the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Should this be true, Cavill will then replace Hugh Jackman in the iconic role.

Though Marvel Studios has not confirmed any of these rumors, it comes as no surprise that the studio is keeping a tight lip when it comes to castings and plot-sensitive information for upcoming titles. Most Marvel actors have shared the many hoops Marvel goes through to keep details a secret, with many referencing “Marvel Snipers” in various interviews. Marvel has gone as far as giving multiple and/or fake scripts to actors such as Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland, and Tessa Thompson who have spoiled various details about their upcoming projects to protect the integrity of the stories.

Fans have several casting hopes for Henry Cavill including Logan/Wolverine, Hercules, Brian Braddock/Captain Britain, and more, but Marvel Studios won’t budge or share their plans just yet. A source claims:

Warner Bros. needs to act soon if they want to keep him. Marvel Studios is keeping an eye on him, too.”

Henry is far from the only actor on Marvel’s dream casting list. Other actors and actresses said to be on this shortlist include Keanu Reeves, Zac Efron, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, and more. Several actors who had been rumored to be on the same list have recently been confirmed to appear in upcoming projects including Kit Harrington, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Angelina Jolie, Awkwafina, and that’s just the tip of the casting iceberg.

As the MCU moves forward and expands, we can’t wait to see who will join the casts!

Over 200 alligators have been removed from Walt Disney World since a little boys death

Warning signs

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has captured and removed at least 226 nuisance alligators from Walt Disney World property since a toddler was killed by an alligator at a Disney resort nearly five years ago, state records show.

Lane Thomas Graves was a 2-year-old child when an alligator attacked him while he was playing on the beach at Walt Disney Worlds Grand Floridian resort.  A sculpture of a lighthouse was installed near the Grand Floridian Resort beach in 2017 to spread awareness of the Lane Thomas Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by Graves’ parents to support families of children in need of organ transplants.

“In keeping with our strong commitment to safety, we continue to reinforce procedures related to reporting sightings and interactions with wildlife, and work closely with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to remove or relocate certain wildlife from our property in accordance with state regulations,” a Walt Disney World spokesperson said.

Boardwalk area

In 2016, 83 alligators were removed from the resort. 2017, 57 alligators were captured.

About 33 alligators were harvested in 2018 and 2019, state records show.

In 2020, another 46 alligators were plucked from Disney World waterways. Nearly half of those removals occurred between late March and early July while the resort’s hotels and theme parks were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To address complaints about potentially dangerous alligators, FWC administers the Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program.

Walt Disney World

If an alligator at least 4 feet in length is believed to pose a threat to people, pets, or property, the agency issues a permit to a state-contracted alligator trapper. Nearly 7,700 alligators were captured statewide under the program in 2019. Although some of those reptiles are sold alive to alligator farms, animal exhibits, or zoos, most nuisance alligators are euthanized. FWC does not relocate nuisance alligators because the reptiles often try to return to their capture site, and remote locations generally have healthy alligator populations, according to the agency.

According to FWC, the removal of nuisance alligators does not have a significant impact on Florida’s population of about 1.3 million alligators.
