Marvel Studios Developing ‘Hulk’ Solo Film Starring Mark Ruffalo. Currently, Mark Ruffalo is filming for the She-Hulk series coming to Disney+, but when will he get his own Marvel film or series? According to several insiders, there are plans in the works to give Bruce Banner and Hulk their own project!
Giant Freakin Robot shares the scoop, stating “We decided to ring up one of our insider sources who has proven to be right a number of times with other scoops, and they had some surprising news for us. They did some digging and came back saying that there are plans in motion for a solo Hulk movie over at Marvel Studios. They were unable to confirm what the plot of the movie would be, but the biggest contender has been the often rumored World War Hulk storyline.“

GFR also shared there is speculation that the movie may also include other “Hulk’s” including Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, Amadeus Cho, and potentially the MCU debut of Red Hulk. Note: None of this has been confirmed by Marvel Studios, so be sure to take these ideas with a grain of salt until we get a formal announcement from the studio.
Just last year the Avengers star claimed he wasn’t sure that Marvel Studios wanted to venture further into Hulk or Bruce Banner’s story, and felt he may move into a support role as the next generation of heroes step up to face off the forces of evil and destruction.
Given Ruffalo’s history of sharing spoilers, and infamously live-streaming the first 10 mins of Thor: Ragnarok during the world premiere by accident, it comes as no surprise that Marvel would be keeping a tight lip with Mark about any future plans for his characters. Basically, it seems that Marvel has told Mark, “Don’t call us. We’ll call you.” when there is a Hulk or Bruce appearance.
