Lawsuit Against Rosario Dawson Dismissed by the Court. Back in October 2019, Dedrek Finley filed a lawsuit alleging mistreatment and discrimination by Rosario Dawson and her family during employment for the family, allegedly involving physical assault and anti-trans insults including deliberate misgendering. This came as a shock to fans since Dawson has been a very open LGBTQ+ ally and supporter. Dawson never wavered in her stance that this was a baseless lawsuit and that a decades-long family friendship has ended as a result of the filing.
According to court documents from May 21st, the Los Angeles Superior Court fully dismissed the lawsuit after the Plaintiff (Dedrek Finley) repeatedly did not respond to court requests for documentation, answers to questions, or undergo an independent medical examination aimed at reinforcing his claims of mental and physical harm. The LASC Judge ultimately ruled “The court hereby dismisses the action.”
Dawson took to social media to share the update along with the hope that she and her family will finally get to move forward, sharing: “My family is pleased that this baseless suit is over. While the vast majority of the false claims had been voluntarily withdrawn last year-including every single false claim of discrimination-the court has now terminated the remainder of the case allowing us all to move forward. She continued in a follow-up tweet, “That these false claims came from someone we’ve known as chosen family for decades and who we were trying so hard to help out, as we have many times in the past, was very heartbreaking. Nevertheless, we have great empathy for him and have only ever wished him well. (2/2)”

Last night guests near Epcot could see the fireworks being tested for Harmonious along with something a little special for Aladdin fans. If you turn up the volume you can hear the music from Arabian Nights being played.

Here is the latest information we have about Harmonious according to Disney:
“Harmonious” is a global effort, truly embracing the magic of possibility. In recent weeks, Disney Live Entertainment technical designers across the country have been programming various elements of the show, from media and fountains to lighting and pyrotechnics, working in a completely virtual environment. Our music producers at Walt Disney Imagineering have been remotely directing recording sessions with an incredibly diverse array of musical artists, performing in studios around the world.
Once complete, “Harmonious” will be one of the largest nighttime spectaculars we’ve ever produced. We’re busy setting the stage of this innovative toolkit, preparing each of the show’s five floating platforms to take its place on World Showcase Lagoon. Positioned like a compass, these platforms house the primary show equipment for “Harmonious,” and on the recently-placed center platform stands an iconic six-story-tall central ring structure, supporting a high-density water curtain, moving lights, fountains and more.
It has not yet been determined when Harmonious Nighttime Spectacular will debut in Epcot. So stay tuned to Chip and Co for more details.
Last night Walt Disney Imagineering installed new Jungle Cruise Characters as part of the updated experience coming to the fan-favorite attraction.

Starting today, Magic Kingdom Park guests aboard the attraction can meet our trapped safari of new characters, including Felix Penchman XIII, the Skipper who led this expedition up a tree!
We are excited for guests to see them for themselves at @Disneyland when the Jungle Cruise reopens on July 16!
Just last week we were given a sneak peek at one of the changes for the famous Trader Sam. It wouldn’t be Disney if a ride or attraction ended with a gift shop, pun intended.
True to his reputation as the best merchant in the jungle, Trader Sam has found a way to convert the new Lost & Found location into something more profitable for the Jungle Navigation Company Ltd. The Jungle Cruise appears to be going the route of all the best rides – ending with a gift shop!
Progress continues at both Disney World & Disneyland as Imagineers build on the original story with new adventures that stay true to the experience we know and love.
Jungle Cruise will reopen July 16th, 2021, at Disneyland, with an updated experience that welcomes new characters from around the world plus even more of the humor, wildlife and skipper heart that makes this classic attraction a favorite. At the Magic Kingdom, you can continue to enjoy the Jungle Cruise while updates are being made, and all changes will be completed this summer.

Just last October Disney Vacation Club raised the minimum points to 125 for Membership Extras so I am shocked to see it raised an additional 25 points this soon.
Please note that points purchased via the resale marketplace do not apply toward this minimum. DVC Owners who met the minimum requirement at the time of their purchase will continue to receive access to member perks.
Avengers Campus finally opens today, June 4, and the main attraction in the land is WEB SLINGERS: a Spider-Man Adventure. Guests experiencing this attraction get to sling webs and have superpowers like Spider-Man. The ride is a unique, interactive experience and one that can’t be missed!
At the Worldwide Engineering Brigade – also known as WEB – Tony Stark has assembled young engineers who specialize in developing innovative technologies to equip and empower a new generation of Super Heroes. This workshop showcases the inventions of Peter Parker and the rest of the WEB Tech team, including Spider-Bots, which are designed to be robotic sidekicks capable of building anything a Super Hero might need.
However, when Peter’s demonstration goes awry, the Spider-Bots are stuck in a replication loop, creating even more Spider-Bots!
Donning 3D glasses, your mission will be to test-drive the aspiring inventor’s latest invention, the WEB Slinger vehicle, and put your web-slinging skills to the test! Through specially designed, innovative technology that recognizes body movements and gestures, you will reach out your hands and sling webs from your wrists, just like Spider-Man.
As the WEB Slinger vehicles progress, you will virtually pass through several other Campus addresses, including Pym Test Kitchen, Avengers Headquarters and the Collector’s Fortress, also home to Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! As the mission continues, Spider-Bots will become harder and harder to beat as they continue to multiply.
While everyone will be able to sling webs on the attraction, for the first time ever on a Disney Parks attraction, you’ll be able to customize your experience with new WEB Tech accessories. Work is still ongoing for the new flagship merchandise location in Epcot, Creations Shop. This new store is replacing Mouse Gears. Imagineer Zach Riddley shared some of the design process on his Instagram.
The design of the shop is abstract with big, bold shapes, surfaces, color, and details. Riddley said, “Our Imagineering team carefully selected binder colors and aggregates to create five unique terrazzo finishes. We’re also using golden yellow as our primary accent color throughout the space, inspired by one of the main colors of Mickey himself. This golden yellow terrazzo has a special tessellated pattern, reminiscent of Spaceship Earth. This integral pattern is created using 3D printing technology, in lieu of brass inlays used in more traditional terrazzo installations. This gives us greater precision to reflect shapes and motifs iconic to EPCOT.”
Riddley also shared that the color scheme will be applied to the façade soon. The color scheme is an entirely new palette for Epcot. Zach Riddley shared, “We were searching for something neutral and warm to perfectly capture the light and architectural details of these renovated buildings while complementing the adjacent Spaceship Earth façade.”
The Creations Shop and Club Cool will be reopening this summer. On the other end of the building a new set of restaurants will replace the former Electric Umbrella.

Adventures by Disney is introducing a new destination and expanding its private adventure destinations for 2022. In May of next year, guests will have the opportunity to explore historical New England. Also, six new itineraries are being added to ABD’s Private Adventures.
Step Back in Time in New England Known for its quaint seaside villages, historic cities, breathtaking landscapes and incredible food, New England has always been a popular vacation getaway. As travelers journey on this Adventures by Disney itinerary through the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington and nearby Stowe, Vermont, the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Bar Harbor, Maine, they will discover all of this and more, connecting with the people and culture of the region. With bike rides through Burlington, carriage tours through Acadia National Park, lobster feasts in Bar Harbor and tours of covered bridges in Vermont, families will experience life as a New Englander and get a glimpse of all that makes this part of the U.S. so captivating.
Highlights of the eight-day, seven-night New England adventure include:
A morning of exploration at the Shelburne Museum, where families will work with a 19th-century printing press, visit the Locomotive 220 — which pulled trains carrying U.S. presidents Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower — and ride a vintage carousel. Shelburne Museum is also renowned for its famed Folk Art collection.
A stay at the historical Trapp Family Lodge, the former home of Maria and Baron von Trapp. There, guests will learn the story of how the famous von Trapp family left their home in the hills of Austria and settled in the picturesque hills of Vermont.
An afternoon cruise along Lake Champlain on Vermont’s largest cruise ship and floating restaurant. Families will enjoy lunch and a narrated adventure aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen.
Active adventures in the skies, as guests take part in zip-tour, tree-top and sky bridge experiences in Stowe.
A leisurely bike ride, with stops at Oakledge Park, the Burlington Earth Clock and North Beach. Families will also experience Burlington’s vibrant downtown area.
Coastal explorations of Bar Harbor with a sailing aboard a two-mast schooner and a kayaking tour along the scenic shoreline.
Journeys through Acadia National Park with horse-drawn carriage rides along the park’s historic roads and a coach tour of the spectacular vistas of Sand Beach, Otter Point, Jordan Pond, Thunder Hole and Cadillac Mountain.
A sampling of authentic New England cuisine, including a lobster and clam bake dinner with views overlooking the waterfront in Bar Harbor, a serving of traditional popovers and tea at Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park and fresh farm-to-table dining at Clemmons Family Farm in Vermont.
Adventures by Disney will offer 10 New England departures between May and October 2022, four of which are reserved for adult guests. Three of the adult-exclusive departures are scheduled during prime leaf-peeping season, the time of year when many travelers venture to New England to see the fall foliage.

Mobile ordering has been a feature at Starbucks locations at Disney Springs, as well as certain quick-service restaurants across Disney World. But nothing is more vital in a long day hitting the shops and park hopping than your caffeine fix. The long lines at coffee locations at Disney World prove that point in the most painful way. Thankfully, Disney Springs will no longer have that issue since all the main coffee shops will have a mobile ordering system! Joffrey’s Coffee just announced that they will now have a mobile order option for guests to put their drink orders in beforehand. Getting coffee on the go just got easier and your donuts have been streamlined.
Joffrey’s Coffee is located at Disney Springs’ Landing, next to Vivoli Il Gelato and across from The Boathouse. If you’ve ever seen the amphicars, you’ll know where I’m talking about. Some exclusions will apply when mobile ordering, so be aware that your options may be more limited. But don’t worry! Staples like the Nitro Cold Brew and Mocha Latte are available for mobile order, as well as donuts and seasonal items like the Round ‘Em Up Latte. Last night, June 2, was the opening ceremony of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure! This new Marvel-themed land opens to guests tomorrow, June 4. Some of our favorite superheroes assembled in Avengers Campus to celebrate the opening. Disney live-streamed the event last night.
Disney CEO Bob Chapek was joined in front of Avengers Headquarters near the shining Quinjet by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Marvel Studios President/Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige, along with Paul Rudd, star of the “Ant-Man” films, and Anthony Mackie from the hit Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
Anthony Mackie joined Captain America during the grand opening ceremony, while Paul Rudd caught up with Ant-Man and the Wasp. “Iron Man” director and actor Jon Favreau was also on hand, where he encountered Iron Man in his new armor, the Mark 80.
A few other special guests toured Avengers Campus, and made special appearances during the live-stream event, including “Guardians of the Galaxy” actress Zoe Saldana, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” actor Simu Liu and “Captain Marvel” actress Brie Larson.

Upgrade your regular mac and cheese with this delicious Mac and Cheese Cone recipe from Disneyland!
This magical treat is a popular snack option when you visit Disney California Adventure, more specifically, Cars Land. So if your are craving something warm and cheesy, the Cozy Cone Motel is the place to go! This dining location has the most delicious mac and cheese cones in all of California.
You can even upgrade your cone by adding toppings like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, truffle infused flavors or chile con queso! It’s your mouth watering yet? Because ours sure is! But don’t worry, you don’t have to wait until you visit Disneyland to get your hands on one of these delicious treats because you can make them at home! Take a look at the recipe:
MAC AND CHEESE CONE
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound of elbow macaroni
1/4 cup of butter
Salt to taste
1/4 cup of flour
1 cup of milk
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of cream cheese
Pepper, to taste
6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
Cooking Spray
1 tbsp of flour
1 tube of Pillsbury Thin crust pizza dough
6 manila folders
Tape or staples
6 10inch long foil sheets
INSTRUCTIONS:
For The Cones
Preheat oven to 425F.
Take a manila folder and roll into a tight cone, securing the end with a staple or tape. Till will be covered with foil and protected from the heat so it won’t burn in the oven. Wrap the cone tightly with foul, covering the paper completely. Lightly grease the outside of the cone with cooking spray and set aside.
Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, to keep it from sticking. With the long side facing you, cut 12 1 inch strips with a sharp knife or pizza slicer. Starting at the tip of the cone, wrap one strip around the bottom and continue working your way up, spiraling as you go. Make sure the dough touches the row below it. Continue with a second strip.
Repeat 5 more times to make 6 cones.
Place cones on a greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, rotating once, until dough is golden brown.
Remove cones from the oven, let cool slightly, and then gently twist the foil cone to remove from the dough. Let cool.
For The Mac and Cheese
Heat water in a stock pot and salt heavily. Once it starts boiling, cook macaroni for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large stock pot over medium heat, melt butter and add flour. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the flour is toasted. Add milk, whisking vigorously to eliminate lumps. Then add cheese, cream cheese, and salt and pepper to taste.
Add pasta and stir to combine. Let mac and cheese sit for 10 minutes.
Fill each cone with mac and cheese and garnish with a big scoop of crumbled bacon.
Making his savanna debut meet Dash the newest baby Zebra. Unquestionably one of the cutest animals to be born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently. Disney Parks Blog and Dr. Mark Penning announced the foals name today in separate posts on Facebook and Instagram. You can read them below.
We had the pleasure to announce his birth back on May 17, 2021. Clearly, we are pleased to announce his name here. Without a doubt one of the most memorable trips on Kilimanjaro Safaris. With the live birth of Dash on the savanna. Indeed, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime ride.
Fresh from his savanna debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we are thrilled to reveal our newest zebra foal has been named Dash. Which couldn’t be more fitting! Keepers chose the name Dash because of the foal’s spunky spirit in addition to the dashed stripe on his left shoulder that is identical to the one on his Mom Heidi.
Dash continues to live up to his name as he exemplifies “dashing” behavior. Moreover, now that he and Mom are back out on the savanna where he is keeping the team on their toes. All the while zooming around meeting the other zebras in the herd.
Dash is a Hartmann’s mountain zebra and the first zebra birth of the year. He was born as part of the Species Survival Plan. Overseen by a highly trained team of Disney animal care experts working in addition with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). These plans assure responsible breeding for endangered species. Helping create healthy and genetically diverse populations of such animals for years to come.
Dash the newest baby Zebra is healthy indeed and you can see him as part of Kilimanjaro Safaris.
