Making his savanna debut meet Dash the newest baby Zebra. Unquestionably one of the cutest animals to be born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently. Disney Parks Blog and Dr. Mark Penning announced the foals name today in separate posts on Facebook and Instagram. You can read them below.
We had the pleasure to announce his birth back on May 17, 2021. Clearly, we are pleased to announce his name here. Without a doubt one of the most memorable trips on Kilimanjaro Safaris. With the live birth of Dash on the savanna. Indeed, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime ride.
Fresh from his savanna debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we are thrilled to reveal our newest zebra foal has been named Dash. Which couldn’t be more fitting! Keepers chose the name Dash because of the foal’s spunky spirit in addition to the dashed stripe on his left shoulder that is identical to the one on his Mom Heidi.
Dash continues to live up to his name as he exemplifies “dashing” behavior. Moreover, now that he and Mom are back out on the savanna where he is keeping the team on their toes. All the while zooming around meeting the other zebras in the herd.
Dash is a Hartmann’s mountain zebra and the first zebra birth of the year. He was born as part of the Species Survival Plan. Overseen by a highly trained team of Disney animal care experts working in addition with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). These plans assure responsible breeding for endangered species. Helping create healthy and genetically diverse populations of such animals for years to come.
Dash the newest baby Zebra is healthy indeed and you can see him as part of Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Orange County might soon see changes in terms of Covid restrictions. Some experts are expecting to hear Orange County Mayor announce changes this Friday in regards to social distancing and mask mandates.
Orange County’s positivity rate has been hovering below 5-percent for almost two weeks. If that trend continues into Friday, the county will enter phase 3 of the reopening plan. That means all social distancing and mask recommendations would be lifted.
“When we reach that pinnacle, all Orange County mandates will be lifted. That means that we have successfully contained the virus within our community. If all goes well, we may be able to reach phase 3 by Friday,” Demings said.
According to officials, more than 55-percent of all Orange County residents who are 15 and older have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In order to enter phase 3, 70-percent of the eligible population will need to receive at least one dose of the vaccine or the county will need to have a sustained 14-day positivity rate of 5-percent or below for two weeks.
Marvel Studios Currently Has 10 Projects in Post-Production Coming Soon to Theaters and Disney+. After nearly a year of no Marvel Studios content due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans eagerly awaited the premieres of WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Now, with the upcoming premiere of Black Widow we are finally returning to feature-length films, as well as some stellar new Disney+ exclusive content! All-in-all Marvel Studios has 10 projects currently in post-production at the studio.
Projects currently in post-production include Loki, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, What If…?, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder.

More changes are coming to Disney Parks. This time it’s a new policy change for Cast Members!
Disney Cast Members have been required to wear a face mask covering at all times since the parks reopened last summer. However, a new exception will allow some cast members to be able to take off their face coverings in special situations.
If a Cast Member is outdoors and more than six feet away from guests, then they can remove their face mask. But they must wear it at all times when indoors or within six feet of guests.

We especially need fireworks locally. Obviously, we have not heard from Disney on the July 4th fireworks. So we have made our own plans to join the crowd at Sunset Walk. Our family lives 2 miles away from Margaritaville Resort in addition to Sunset Walk. So this will be our local show, and we cannot wait.

‘Indiana Jones 5’ Set Revealed as Filming Begins Near London. Filming is set to begin in the UK for the fifth and currently untitled Indiana Jones movie. While Lucasfilm has announced various casting details, the movie plot and script are being kept under wraps, but sometimes we get lucky and have the chance to see a sneak peek. This week, Reddit user, r/StarWarsLeaks shared some leaked photos reportedly from the set of Indiana Jones 5 near Pinewood Studios.

Throughout the day at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park, recruits have the chance to witness Spider-Man swing into action high above Avengers Campus with gravity-defying, acrobatic feats never before seen in a Disney park. Spider-Man flips 60 to 65 feet in the air above the rooftop of the WEB building. Super Heroes assembled to celebrate the momentous dedication of Avengers Campus on June 2nd, 2021, in an epic ceremony at DCA. Disney CEO Bob Chapek was joined in front of Avengers Headquarters near the shining Quinjet by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro, and Marvel Studios President/Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige, along with Paul Rudd, and Anthony Mackie.
