Star Wars Fans… OH MY GOSH… THIS is the episode we have been waiting for. It has been rumored for months that Rosario Dawson would be portraying the live-action Grey Jedi and ex-padawan of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, but we now have confirmation and a butt kicking episode to boot that gives hardcore Star Wars fans new hope for the future of the Star Wars franchise.

Even the most skeptical fans expected a “turn up at the end of the episode” appearance which, to be fair, has been The Mandalorian‘s style for a slow burn appeal but that is not what happened this week. Ahsoka showed up immediately in the episode and showed everyone just how much of a bas ass she is and we won’t apologize for it. Dawson’s performance was excellent and we hope to see even more of Ahsoka in the future of the episode.

There is a lot to dive into here, so we will be splitting this episode up into multiple articles, so be on the lookout for more information on the events of The Jedi, but for now let’s focus on Ahsoka and what her appearance means.

Firstly, it’s amazing to see Tano in action and clearly on a mission. She wastes no time establishing her intentions to “The Magistrate,” who has been treating her citizens with cruelty for some time, saying she has one day to offer the information she seeks or else. As instructed by Bo-Katan, Din Djarin (Mando) and The Child go and seek out Ahsoka Tano for some answers and to get The Child to safety. Upon arrival, Din is brought to The Magistrate who offers him a priceless artifact in exchange for hunting down Ahsoka, despite this giving Din all the information he needs tp complete his own mission and a solid piece of Beskar weaponry to boot. After a brief and unfriendly encounter, Ahsoka helps Din to better communicate with The Child, and even shares information with him regarding The Child’s past. In exchange for helping Mando and the Child Din offers to help Ahsoka in her own mission, pending she teaches The Child how to use his abilities.

Ahsoka offers another piece to the puzzle that will help Mando to get The Child where he needs to be, but refuses to teach him due to the parallel The Child has to her previous Jedi trainer, Anakin Skywalker. Ahsoka also reveals whom she is seeking in her own quest asking The Magistrate “Where is Grand Admiral Thrawn?” Of course, we do not learn his location at this time, but hardcore Star Wars fans should immediately recognize where this is going…
