Seems like we have been writing about Space 220 opening for a few years now and clearly it has still has not opened the doors for guests. Nevertheless, we have news again of a hiring spree for the Patina Group, which owns and operates the restaurant.

Without a doubt, Space 220 seems like an amazing restaurant to have lunch or dinner. The concept sounds fun and interesting. We just hope that it truly does open soon. The opening has been delayed multiple times over the past 2 years. Rumors swirled that right before the pandemic hit, 220 was supposed to open, but had replaced the head chef and redo the menu. Then the pandemic hit and everything shut down, and now we shall wait with baited breathe.
Exploring Epcot’s World Showcase is always an adventure for guests. But now there’s a new unique opportunity to check out in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion!
Guests can now paint their own Italian Renaissance era Carnevale mask as a special souvenir.
The activity kit includes a DIY mask, two paintbrushes, apron, and paint. Prices start at $30 for those who want to try this activity. The price goes up for other mask variations.
The mask options are fun, so each member in your group can mix it up by choosing different masks.
Also, it takes no more than 20 minutes for the paint to dry on the masks. So you should be able to continue your World Showcase journey shortly after allowing time for them to dry.
Guests planning to visit Walt Disney World for the 50th anniversary celebration in October can now get park reservations for October 1st! More park pass reservations have opened up for Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary.
Previously, Magic Kingdom was completely full on October 1, 2021. Now, the park has availability for guests with theme park tickets and guests staying at select resort hotels.
As capacity increases at Walt Disney World, more park pass reservations will open up. October 1st is going to be a very popular date to be at the parks, especially Magic Kingdom. October 1st kicks off the 18-month long 50th Anniversary Celebration.

When Walt Disney World reopened last summer, some aspects of the parks remained closed due to new health and safety measures. Children’s play areas, including the one at Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Magic Kingdom, we’re closed throughout the pandemic. Now, the play area at Dumbo the Flying Elephant has reopened!
The play area at Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Fantasyland is an area where guests can wait for their turn to ride the attraction. Instead of waiting in line, guests are given a pager and can play around in the circus tent. The tent is full of fun activities and slides for children but it was closed due to the pandemic.
All guests must wear a face mask while in the play area but other than that kids are free to play the same as it was pre-pandemic. The play area capacity is not at 100% right now, but many guests are able to enjoy the area.
This is the first play area at Walt Disney World to reopen since the parks reopened last summer. Hopefully, others will reopen soon too!

The name L.L.A.M.A is an acronym for Love, Laughter And Music Always. The first LEGO® Minifigure to sign a deal with a record label will be touring five LEGOLAND® Resorts across the world to perform on stage. Two performances will take place each of the three event days on a specially themed stage. When you attend the event you’ll also have the chance to get creative and produce your own content!
VIDIYO is a music video maker experience designed for children. It is a new way to play that teaches children to direct, produce, star in, and safely share their own music videos. You can use music tracks from across the globe to create a truly one-of-a-kind work of art.
From 11 AM to 6 PM, the interactive music festival will be full of dance parties, games, performances, and photo opportunities. All event activities are included with LEGOLAND Theme Park general admission and select Annual Passes. The first Orlando based Portillo’s located in The Village at O-Town West in Lake Buena Vista will be opening soon, just minutes from Walt Disney World! The grand opening is June 15th, but we were fortunate enough to visit during a soft opening to experience it for ourselves.

International Food & Wine Festival Presented by CORKCICLE, Begins July 15th furthermore, we got a huge update today from Disney with more details. This delicious celebration, which kicks off July 15 and runs through Nov. 20, features a full menu of new flavors and sips along with live entertainment, family activities, and more. That’s 129 days of fun for the entire family!
Global Marketplaces will serve up a host of international flavors, including fan-favorite dishes from Hawai’i, Australia, Germany, Canada, and Greece, as well as new spicy, savory, and sweet plates to please your palate. We’ll have more details on specific menu items in an upcoming Foodie Guide, but there are new Global Marketplace concepts coming to Morocco, The American Adventure, and throughout the park in July, with even more marketplaces opening in the fall.
