Karen Gillan Excited to return as Nebula in Next Guardians Film

Karen Gillan Excited to return as Nebula in Next Guardians Film

Actress Karen Gillan is preparing for her return as Nebula in the upcoming production for the third chapter of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Even though principal photography is starting in a few months, they are busy with pre-production. For instance, Karen is getting mold work done for her Nebula makeup. She’s also read the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and is quite thrilled about the movie!

Karen Gillan Excited to return as Nebula in Next Guardians Film

Plot details for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are still being kept under wraps. But the entire original cast is expected to return, including Gillan’s Nebula. Though the first Guardians of the Galaxy showed her as a secondary antagonist, Nebula evolved into more of a tentative ally for the sequel. Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame turned the cybernetic alien into one of the MCU’s heroes after she helped save the world from Thanos. Where Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will find her remains to be seen, but it’s bound to be interesting.

Missing Jewel is Back on Cinderella Castle

Decorations for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on Cinderella Castle

The 18-month-long Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration has not yet begun, but it looks like adjustments may already need to be made. The beautiful decorations on Cinderella’s Castle make it look elegant and celebratory, however, they need to be secure too. After a jewel fell off last weekend, Cast Members have restored it to its rightful place, hopefully with a little extra support!

Missing Jewel is Back on Cinderella Castle

The “EARidescent” decorations have been slowly added to Cinderella Castle since the start of this year. We are excited to join the revelry starting on October 1st, 2021, but with this much preparation to achieve, Disney has been working ahead of time. It’s probably a good thing too! That gives Disney plenty of time to iron out details like missing jewels.

The jewel fell off of one of the castle turrets and revealed an adhesive substance underneath. The decorations are supposed to be hurricane-proof, a worthy goal in Florida. But this little incident has us wondering. The item has been firmly reattached although we can’t say for certain what caused it to come off in the first place. We also hope the harsher weather to come will not prove detrimental to the rest of the banners and decor.

Missing Jewel is Back on Cinderella Castle

The design for the castle’s 50th Anniversary look was created by Walt Disney Imagineering. It was installed by Walt Disney World teams. “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” deserved some special attention, which means in part that Imagineers developed new colors and hues to adorn the castle. The Imagineers were inspired by Disney Legend Mary Blair and her vision of the classic, “Cinderella.”

If you haven’t checked out the 50th-anniversary decor at Cinderella castle yet, be sure and do so! It’s a beautiful new vision of a Disney icon. And don’t forget that the celebration starts on October 1st!

Casey’s Corner Cast Members Return to Work to Prepare for Reopening

Casey’s Corner Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom

It’s almost Independence Day here in the United States, which means it’s hot dog season. And if you love hot dogs, you have probably sampled the greatness that comes from Casey’s Corner in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Casey’s Corner serves that American classic like no other, with a quaint early-20th century atmosphere and a side of fries. If you’re looking for a truly authentic amusement park meal that won’t disappoint, you can’t go wrong with Casey’s hot dogs!

The problem is that Casey’s Corner has been closed for over a year now. Even as various attractions and dining locations around Walt Disney World have reopened their doors, this popular quick-service restaurant has remained unused. Located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., guests have been able to walk through the restaurant even though it’s been closed. The space has been utilized for overflow merchandise at the Emporium at times. It seems however that those days are coming to an end. Casey’s Corner Cast Members have been spotted back at work!

Though we don’t have an official reopening date, we hear reopening will be on June 30th. We can only hope! This place is so good that lines are frequently out the door. I, myself, have fond childhood memories of Casey’s Corner. Mine was located in Disneyland Paris though, near where I grew up. It was one place our family knew we could get a great American hot dog, and that is true to this day.

Star Wars renames Boba Fett’s Iconic Star Wars Ship

Star Wars renames Boba Fett's Iconic Star Wars Ship

There’s been a change in name recently for a beloved Star Wars spaceship. Boba Fett’s iconic Slave I is no longer going by that name according to Star Wars merchandisers. Instead, it is simply being called “Boba Fett’s Starship” on new retail products.

The most recent example is a LEGO toy set. A new LEGO Star Wars set of Boba Fett’s ship was recently unveiled, but rather than Slave I, the package simply referred to the vessel as “Boba Fett’s Starship.”

According to details that were revealed at LEGO Fan Media Days last month, the decision was made at the instruction of Disney.

“We’re not calling it Slave I anymore,” LEGO Star Wars Lead Designer Michael Lee Stockwell revealed. “This is Boba Fett’s Starship.”

“Everybody is dropping the Slave I name,” LEGO Star Wars Design Director Jens Kronvold Frederiksen added. “It’s probably not something which has been announced publicly but it is just something that Disney doesn’t want to use anymore.”

What’s also great is that the cookie only costs $2.50, which is not bad for price! We definitely recommend this cookie if you plan on going to the Morocco Pavilion. It’s a light cookie full of flavor. The chocolate top layer and apricot jam provide just the right amount of sweetness without making it rich.

Disney Cruise Line has just postponed first test cruise

“We are delaying our simulation cruise due to a small number of inconsistent COVID-19 test results, which are considered positive by the CDC,” a Disney representative said in a statement. “The rigorous health and safety protocols we have in place helped us identify the situation, though the test results were ultimately negative.”
