Are you ready to shop ‘til you drop? Disney Springs can accommodate that with longer summer hours! Whether you’re just here for Independence Day weekend or staying for a summer vacation, you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy operating hours that go late into the night. So even if you’re park-hopping, you can still fit in an eclair from Amorette’s and some mug shopping at the World of Disney store.
Orlando is seeing more visitors now that the travel season has begun. Disney is responding by giving their guests more time to spend in their largest shopping location.
As of now, Disney Springs hours have now been adjusted according to the Disney Springs website. As of June 27th, the hours are 10 AM to 11 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 10 AM to 11:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. A brief look at the future calendar for Disney Springs shows no cut-off date for these extended weekend hours that we know of.
Walt Disney World has extended park hours for the summer as well, with extra time at the start of July. Magic Kingdom Park will be open 9 AM to 11 PM, Epcot 11 AM to 10 PM, Disney’s Hollywood Studios 9 AM to 8 PM, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park 8 AM to 7 PM. These hours are good through Saturday, July 11th.
Head over to Disney Springs for some great dining and shopping! No hurry though. They’re open late tonight and every night this summer!
Spoiler-Free Review of Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Widow’. Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow” fans can not only choose how they want to see the film—in theaters or at home on Disney+—they can plan ahead! Advanced theater tickets or pre-ordering Premier Access on Disney+ is now available! The action-packed spy thriller launches simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets on July 9, 2021. Now on to our spoiler-free reviewer Marvel Studios’ Black Widow.
First and foremost, I want to encourage Marvel fans to go see Black Widow in theaters if they feel comfortable doing so. The theatrical experience is one of the best parts of any Marvel premiere and you are NOT going to want to miss this opportunity to see the action unfold in theaters. That being said, we completely understand that many fans will want to view Black Widow from home and we love that idea too! Personally, we will be seeing the film again in theaters for the premiere on July 9th AND getting Disney+ Premier Access so we can keep enjoying the movie over and over again from the comfort of our home, and long story short, Black Widow was THAT good.
Black Widow more than beat our expectations, it introduced us to a new cast of characters that stand on their own, despite living in the shadows of the MCU so far. Florence Pugh and Scarlett Johansson give a dynamic performance as Yelena Belova and Natasha Romanoff, and supporting actors David Harbour (Red Guardian/Alexei Shostakov) and Rachel Weisz (Melina Vostokoff) brought their all to the story as well. The film also features O-T Fagbenle (Rick Mason), Ray Winstone (unspecified), and William Hurt (General Ross). Harbour provides much-needed levity with his humor for a rather dark story, and Weisz has been expertly set up for a successful launch into the MCU… but more on that in another post. Overall, we loved the movie and can’t wait to see what YOU think of Black Widow when it premieres in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 9th.
I want to share a CONTENT WARNING for Black Widow. The film does discuss and depict topics including manipulation and child endangerment. Though we knew Marvel would be giving insight into Natasha’s past, there is no denying she has been through extremely traumatic experiences. Some fans may find these moments too difficult to view, so please use your discretion regarding your ability to witness traumatic events and discussions on screen.
“Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Joining Johansson in the new feature film are Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. “Black Widow”—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.”

Tomorrowland Kugel Fountain returns to operation in Magic Kingdom. Things are returning to normal, with more interactive things reopening at Magic Kingdom. Recently, we told you about the Hunny Wall and also the queue for Winnie-the-Pooh ride. Unquestionably, one of the weirder least understood playful fountains has reopened. The Kugel Ball. Rather redundant for the name, Kugel means Ball or Sphere in German. So… ball ball?
Let us do some research together and learn more about this odd water feature. I truly learned something new doing the research on the Kugel ball. Importantly, the Kugel ball itself is a 13277 pound perfect sphere made of granite. The ball sits on a base that has been hollowed out. It is supported by a thin layer of water. Furthermore, when it is working the thin layer of water makes it aquaplane. Making it really easy for anyone to move the ball. Little children can touch it and watch it start rotating.
“New Tomorrowland [which opened at the Magic Kingdom in 1994] was conceived as the meeting place of the universe,” stated Imagineer Alex Wright. “It is an interplanetary hub chosen to serve as the headquarters of the League of Planets. Everything in this land relates to excitement and optimism about the future. Every detail relates to this theme.
With so many interstellar travelers passing through this area, some are bound to need directions. So a map of the universe was installed near the Merchant of Venus merchandise shop. Hence the Kugel Ball. It is actually a Map of the Universe. Complete with “You are Here” Gold Star. Importantly, as everyone should know, don’t leave home without your towel when traveling the Universe.
All you really need to know for the moment is that the universe is a lot more complicated than you might think, even if you start from a position of thinking it’s pretty damn complicated in the first place. Hopefully though, we demystified the movements of the Tomorrowland Kugel Fountain, that weighs more than most Elephants, and a child could move easily. I truly enjoyed learning about the ball Ball, even more so passing along the info to you.

Cool Scanner Once again spraying guests in Tomorrowland, and this could not have been better timed! Unquestionably, it is hot! Central Florida in June and July and also August is surface of the sun hot. Imagine, wrapping yourself in tin foil, sitting on the grill, while surrounded by lava all while walking through Tomorrowland. So what we are saying is, it can get warm.
Clearly, what is needed is a place to cool down. Fans, shade, or a giant rocket ship spewing mist! The Cool Scanner in Tomorrowland is a great place to take a break, and enjoy the mist. Fortunately, it has reopened. We were on hand yesterday and got a chance to enjoy the water spewing out the back end of the Rocket. Although, we did not see the mister working that shots straight down. I am sure that feature will be back online anytime now. It appears that it may have just been turned off temporarily.
Fuel up at this space-age stand featuring melt-in-your-mouth churros with chocolate sauce. Then, before you blast off again, cool off with a refreshing beverage—like bottled water or a fountain drink.

Disney World President just announced the 2022-2023 Walt Disney World Ambassador team on Instagram this morning. Back in May Disney started the search for new Ambassadors for Walt Disney World.
Introducing the 2022-2023 Walt Disney World Ambassador team, Raevon Redding and Ali Manion! Ali and Raevon will soon become our resort’s “Emissaries of Goodwill,” representing Walt Disney World and its Cast Members throughout Central Florida and beyond.
There were so many great Cast Members who were interested in being an Ambassador, and it was a pleasure meeting our finalists as part of the process. It was a difficult decision! I am personally very excited to see Ali and Raevon take on this new role where they will help us usher in the resort’s 50th anniversary.
Disney Ambassadors serve as the Resort’s “Emissaries of Goodwill,” media representatives and as official hosts to Resort guests. As official spokespeople, Ambassadors offer the outside community a personal relationship with the Resort.

The exhilarating energy of Independence Day will permeate the theme park as guests enjoy musical performances, along with popular rides and attractions. At 9:00 p.m., the holiday is capped off with the extravagant fireworks display synchronized to a score of Universal-themed music and patriotic favorites.
Pop off, like the fireworks in the park, and join us for the return of our annual 4th of July Celebration filled with rides, holiday-themed décor and more! 🎆 pic.twitter.com/UYeYE1QBw5

The festivities will punctuate the skyline as guests stroll along a cleverly themed Pets Place to the front of Katie’s NYC apartment building, home to the innovative “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!” ride.
Only the deafening roar of the extraordinarily realistic Indominus rex dinosaur, featured in “Jurassic World—The Ride” could possibly drown out the fireworks display.
Winnie the Pooh Interactive Honey Wall Returns to Magic Kingdom. Sorry, the Hunny Wall. It should be noted right off the bat, I did use hand sanitizer directly after using the newly reopened wall. With that being said, we love Winnie-the-Pooh Hunny wall, it is so cute and fun to play with. Furthermore, there are fun characters to find and watch get covered back up with that sweet stickiness. Check out the video below.
Clearly, this past year was rough for playing with anything that people or kids would touch and interact with. Activity zones along with splash pads. Importantly, interactive ride queues became untouchable. I can tell you this was rough for me and a lot of people I know. Now, they are reopening. Which is a great sign for all of us.
Think of the Seven Drawfs Mine train queue, at one point in the line, there are barrels that we can spin. A small kaleidoscope image appears above you. Cute, right? Now if 7 people spin at the same time, they all combine into one major easter egg image.
On the Winnie-the-Pooh ride queue is a Hunny wall, that you can try and wipe the honey away. Once wiped an image will pop out, then slowly honey slowly covers the image back up. It is a fun distraction for kids, and unquestionably, a blast for adults to wipe higher up on the screen and maybe see their favorite character. We just recommend hand sanitizer after you have played with it.
Be swept away by a gust of wind with Gopher, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, and Roo before sliding inside Owl’s House. Bob up and down with Tigger during a hide-and-seek adventure. Enter a dream world where singing Heffalumps and Woozles spring up and down.
It’s a delightful romp through scenes and songs scenes made famous in the classic Disney film Winnie the Pooh.
Before saying goodbye to your new friends, celebrate with Pooh as he finally gets his paws on what he’s been searching for.
