See the New Poster and Teaser Trailer for Disney-Pixar’s ‘Turning Red’. Check out the new trailer and poster showcasing the upcoming all-new original feature film “Turning Red” from Pixar Animation Studios’ director Domee Shi, who won an Oscar® for her 2018 short film, “Bao.”
Young actress Rosalie Chiang lends her voice to Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS). Sandra Oh (“The Chair,” “Killing Eve”) voices Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. Directed by Shi and produced by Lindsey Collins, Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” releases March 11, 2022.
“A young girl’s devotion to a boy band who uncontrollably poofs into a giant red panda. In Turning Red, Mei Lee is a confident, dorky thirteen-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence.”
Check out the new teaser trailer below:
Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and be sure to check out “Turning Red” when it hits theaters on March 11, 2022!
Craving a cocktail with all the tiki vibes? What about a Hippopotomai-Tai!

A new baby hippopotamus was born in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World yesterday! The Nile hippopotamus is the newest resident of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park and is super cute.
Disney’s animal care experts are giving the new baby space and time to bond and nurse with its mother. Disney’s Animal, Science and Environment Facebook page will be sharing more photos soon!
Epcot is once again draining some of the ponds in the park, this time in preparation for Moana’s Journey of Water. The new attraction will be the first Moana-themed at Walt Disney World and will be an exploration trail rather than a ride.
Walt Disney World security spotted the man climbing a wall in an attempt to sneak into the Magic Kingdom Park on May 23. The man, Johnny Tran, 31, was arrested at Walt Disney World.
Tran was seen by Disney security climbing over a berm in between Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom just before noon. A plainclothes security guard inside of Magic Kingdom watched Tran walk out of a “Cast Members Only” door and enter Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. When he exited the restaurant, the guard made contact and took him to a security office.
Tran faces trespassing charges as well as petty theft for failing to pay for parking or the entrance fee for the park. He is due for arraignment on July 27.
One of the Magic Kingdom’s most divisive rides will soon be closed for refurbishment. Depending on whether or not you like having a certain song stuck in your head all week, this could be a blessing or a curse. Personally, I can’t get enough nostalgia, so I will miss riding “it’s a small world” during this quick fix!
The project won’t last long, closing the ride down on July 27 and reopening to guests on July 30, 2021. Changes will be small, thus the short closure, and most likely related to COVID-era changes. The ride will need to be in perfect original condition for Walt Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration later this year.
If you’ve been living under a rock, you may not know much about “it’s a small world.” It’s a sweet piece of Walt Disney history, having made its début at the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair. Walt Disney himself oversaw the project in support of UNICEF, and eventually shipped the attraction to Disneyland in 1966. When Walt Disney World opened, “small world” was an opening day attraction. A 10-minute journey through all 7 continents, audio-animatronic figures, Mary Blair’s whimsical artistry, and a catchy tune by the Sherman brothers have made this ride a classic.
Guests hoping to battle Zurg in a galactic quest alongside the most beloved space ranger made of plastic will have to wait a while. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is closing for refurbishment in the Magic Kingdom! Starting July 20th, so get your rides in while you can.
Walt Disney World is a great place for fans of Toy Story right now. The most popular area to celebrate Andy’s pals is in Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land. However, long before we ever got on Slinky Dog Dash or ate lunch in Woody’s Lunch Box, we journeyed into space with Buzz at the Magic Kingdom. Located in Tomorrowland, the ride is a great choice for all ages. It’s interactive as you fire a laser gun to earn points throughout the ride. The Space Ranger Spin is a dark ride with glow-in-the-dark elements. It’s an exciting ride that doesn’t rely on speed or drops to give you a rush!
Here is part of the official description for the ride, according to Disney: “Buzz Lightyear’s arch-nemesis from Toy Story 2 is stealing batteries from helpless toys to power a new weapon of destruction. Become a Junior Space Ranger and help stop Zurg! … Do you have what it takes to stop Zurg and his rampaging robot army before it’s too late? The fate of the universe is in your hands!”
The ride is currently undergoing refurbishment and there is no definite reopening date. Keep checking back for updates on Buzz and any other Disney rides! For more info on current closures, click here.

Bookings open to the general public on May 27, 2021.
In the meantime, we got a chance to see the new Wish Wall at Disney Springs. Center of Marketplace Co-Op stands a giant screen and interactive wall.
Want to board the Disney Wish at the Co-Op? ??
A new interactive mosaic wall allows guests to snap their pic as if they’re getting on the new cruise line!! Then you can watch as it’s placed in a huge mosaic on display in the middle of the store.
Once you have your photo taken, it is then placed in a mosaic with others who have already done it. The trick is finding yourself on the Cruise Line Mosaic Wall when you are done.
Photo Update as Work continues on Disney’s Polynesian Resort. We had the opportunity to get over to Disney Worlds Polynesian Resort for the reopening of ‘Ohana. While we were at the resort, we decided to get some images to share with you and show you how the construction is looking right now. Especially with the resort about to reopen fully.
After a big refurbishment, the hotel will operate again with certain changes, for example, the monorail station and main entrance won’t be available yet. Instead, guests will check-in at the front desk in the Great Ceremonial House.

Finally, the work being done next to Pineapple Lanai. We have some updated images to share with all of you.
