Disney Cruise Line might be adding a new ship to its fleet

Global-Dream
Disney Cruise Line

There is speculation going around that Disney might be purchasing a new 9000 passenger cruise ship that was started but never completed at the world-famous Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany.

The ship was originally started for the now-bankrupt Genting Hong Kong and according to News Reports, Disney might be completing the order.

The news was announced by the insolvency administrator for the shipyard where the vessel is under construction, Christoph Morgen. Global Dream would be completed at the MV Werften, where the ship could be under the direction of Meyer Werft in Papenburg, where Disney Cruise Line is already building the Disney Treasure expected to be completed by 2024.

If purchased by Disney Cruise Line the Global Dream would accommodate a maximum of 9000 guests (around 2500 staterooms), more than twice what the Disney Wish holds. It is expected that the Global Dream would stay in Asia where Disney Cruise Line currently has no permanent routes presently.

The Global Dream is about 75% complete and at this time Disney Cruise Line has not announced any details.

Tokyo Disneyland plans on reducing the number of visitors by 20%

It is being reported that Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea plan on reducing the number of visitors by about 20% starting this year to provide a better customer experience, less congestion, and lower wait times.

The news was shared on Japan Times where it goes into more detail on the Oriental Land business strategy for 2022 – 2024.

Tokyo Disneyland plans on reducing the number of visitors by 20%

The new policy included in Oriental Land’s business plans for fiscal 2022 to fiscal 2024, is designed to boost revenue by freeing visitors from long lines and offering them opportunities to spend more on dining and shopping at the theme parks.

Oriental Land has also launched a system aimed at encouraging a shift of visitors from weekends, when Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are more crowded, to weekdays by lowering the price of admission on weekdays and increasing the price on weekends.

Tokyo Disneyland plans on reducing the number of visitors by 20%

In another effort to shorten wait times for attractions, Oriental Land plans on limiting the number of theme park tickets sold daily, the number of tickets has not been disclosed at this time.

Recently Tokyo Disneyland has banned vlogging and live streaming from the Theme Parks in a move that is not going over well with fans.

With all of these changes at Tokyo Disneyland it makes you wonder if any of these changes are going to come to the US.

Disneyland Paris Welcomes Return of Mickey’s Halloween Celebration

Disneyland Paris is ushering in the Halloween season, from now through November 6, 2022, with the return of Mickey’s Halloween Celebration and not one, but TWO iconic Disney Halloween parties. It’s sure to be a frightfully delightful time of year with spellbinding villain encounters, a mischievous atmosphere, terrifyingly-fun shows, and haunting attractions.

To celebrate this fa-boo-lous holiday, Halloween time décor will adorn Disneyland Park with smiling pumpkins, garlands with lights, lanterns, and joyful skeletons. For the very first time, Disney Hotels are also joining in the Halloween spirit with special fall decorations.

Disneyland Paris Welcomes Return of Mickey’s Halloween Celebration

During Mickey’s Halloween Celebration, be sure to catch the foot-stomping cavalcade, featuring Disney Characters decked out in their most boo-tiful Halloween costumes and even Mickey himself on his jaw-dropping “Mickey’s Illusion Manor” float.

The Disney Villains are making Disneyland Park their home this season as the Royal Castle Stage becomes the regular haunt of Maleficent, Captain Hook, the Queen of Hearts, Cruella de Vil, and many more! As the sun goes down and darkness envelops the park, the Disney Villains have one more trick up their sleeve: Nightfall with Disney Villains. Their devious plan to take over Sleeping Beauty Castle just may come to fruition with a sinister sequence of dancing fountains and wicked projections — all before Disney D-Light and Disney Illuminations.

Disneyland Paris Welcomes Return of Mickey’s Halloween Celebration

Devilishly delicious delicacies await around the resort including the Wicked Whip, an incredible Maleficent Sundae at the Lucky Nugget, a “Mickey Mummy” lollipop and more! Fang-tastic beverages will also be added to select bar and restaurant menus, including the Little Devil Cocktail, the Poisoned “Apple” and the Oogie Boogie mocktail.

Disneyland Paris Welcomes Return of Mickey’s Halloween Celebration

Shop a wide range of petrifyingly perfect merchandise from Mickey and his Friends to Disney Villains and more — guaranteed to haunt you!

This dreadful celebration wouldn’t be complete without a classic attraction or two. Test your courage traveling through the haunted forest of Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains, discover the depths of Sleeping Beauty Castle at La Tanière du Dragon, and trespass through the gates of Phantom Manor at Disneyland Park. Once you’re done there, hop over to Walt Disney Studios Park where you’re invited, if you dare, to step aboard a maintenance service elevator traveling directly to another dimension on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Disneyland Paris Welcomes Return of Mickey’s Halloween Celebration

And this year, two Disney Halloween Parties will cast their spell on Disneyland Park on October 29th and October 31st, 2022, until 2 a.m.! Not only is this wretchedly perfect experience an opportunity to enjoy haunting attractions well into nightfall, you’re invited to delight in an exclusive parade and new shows prepared just for the occasion. Adventureland’s caves and crypts will have an extra dose of chill-factor, becoming home to strange creatures and ghostly encounters will lurk throughout Frontierland. Of course, the Disney Villains plan to receive the attention they deserve across the park.

'Hocus Pocus 2' Director Anne Fletcher Shares the Reason for Including the Garry and Penny Marshall Scene

Disney fans are enjoying the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic Hocus Pocus on Disney+, and many viewers are wondering why the sequel featured an iconic scene from the 1993 film. The scene in question featured the performance of Garry and Penny Marshall as “Master” and “Little Woman” after the Sanderson Sisters confuse “Master” with the Devil.

Director Anne Fletcher knew she wanted to include some footage of the original film, and ultimately decided on the filmmaker’s cameo. Fletcher shared with EW, “I always knew I wanted to put some scene from [the] original movie on the TV, because I thought it would be fun and true to modern-day Halloween, with fans always watching Hocus Pocus. My editor, Julia [Wong], and I landed on the cameo with Garry and Penny because it’s one of the funniest parts of the movie, and their characters are so beloved by everyone — including myself — that it just felt right to put Garry and Penny in this movie. To remember and honor them as being a huge, important, and fun part of the original. Not to mention the importance of who they were in the world, what they gave us all during their lives. Joy, laughter, happiness. Again, it just felt right.
