New Live-Action ‘Goosebumps’ Series is Coming to Disney+

Disney+ has confirmed a new live-action Goosebumps series is coming to the hit streaming service! The series has reportedly been in development since April 2020 and will be based on the popular book series by R.L. Stine. Now, Disney+ has shared an official announcement via social media, posting: “An all-new Original series is coming to #DisneyPlus and it’ll give you… Goosebumps.”

A synopsis for the series reads, “The series follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together – thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.“

Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman have signed on as writers and executive producers for the series. Joining stoller and Letterman on the executive producing team are Conor Welch (Stoller Global Solutions),Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty (Original Film) and Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman (Scholastic Entertainment). The series will be produced under Sony Pictures Television Studios. No casting details have been revealed at this time.
