Halloween Horror Nights 35 Tickets Now on Sale with Earlier Screams and Double the Premium Nights
The fog machines are warming up and the screams are officially on the calendar because tickets for Halloween Horror Nights 35 are now on sale at Universal Orlando Resort. This milestone 35th year of Halloween Horror Nights will run for 48 select nights from August 28 through November 1, promising the most expansive event yet with 10 all-new haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, and a carnival of chaos lurking around every corner.
This year’s theme, the “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares,” brings together HHN icons Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow for the first time ever, setting the stage for a twisted big top where control meets chaos. But beyond the scares themselves, it is the ticket options and upgrades that are stealing the spotlight this year.
For those looking to maximize every scream-filled minute, the Scream Early add-on now unlocks entry into Universal Studios Florida as early as 2 pm, giving guests a major head start not only on rides, but even select haunted houses before the official event begins. It is essentially a backstage pass into the madness before the crowds fully descend.
And if you like your horror with a little extra breathing room, Premium Scream Night is doubling its presence in 2026. This limited-capacity event will now take place on two separate nights, August 27 and October 19, offering significantly lower wait times and a more relaxed way to experience the terror. Think of it as the VIP lounge of nightmares where the screams are just as loud, but the lines are much shorter.
Guests can also choose from a variety of ticket options and upgrades, including single-night admission, Universal Express passes to skip the lines, the R.I.P. Tour for guided VIP access, and the Behind the Screams daytime tour that lets you explore haunted houses with the lights on. Vacation packages are also available, bundling HHN admission with hotel stays and daytime park access, including Universal Epic Universe.
With tickets now live and new perks making it easier than ever to plan your night of frights, Halloween Horror Nights 35 is shaping up to be a full-blown scream-a-palooza.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade Confirmed to Return for 2026 Holiday Season
It may still be spring on the calendar, but Disney is already making spirits bright for the 2026 holiday season. A new casting notice from Disney Live Entertainment confirms that Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will return to Magic Kingdom for this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, giving fans an early sign that one of Walt Disney World’s most beloved holiday traditions is coming back down Main Street, U.S.A.
The new notice is specifically seeking inline roller skating performers local to the Orlando area, which likely points to the return of the parade’s Frozen unit, where skaters have appeared in previous years. Disney is looking for dynamic performers with skating experience who are comfortable performing choreography on wheels, including spins and edging. While this is not exactly shocking news given the parade’s longtime status as a Very Merry staple, it is the first official confirmation that the festive favorite will be back for 2026.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade has long been one of the crown jewels of Disney’s holiday entertainment lineup, featuring toy soldiers, gingerbread-inspired floats, Disney characters in their Christmas best, princesses, Santa Claus, and even snowfall on Main Street. In other words, the holly-jolly magic is gearing up once again, and it sounds like Disney is wasting no time getting the season’s merriest pieces into place.
New Permit Filed for Soarin’ Update at EPCOT Hints at Fresh Queue Enhancements
A new permit filed by Walt Disney Imagineering is giving us something to soar about at EPCOT, and it might just bring some fresh magic to one of the park’s most iconic attractions. The Notice of Commencement points to “installation of set elements” at Soarin‘ Around the World, just ahead of its upcoming transformation into Soarin’ Across America.
The timing here is key. The attraction is scheduled to close on May 14 and reopen on May 26 with its new film, meaning whatever is being added needs to be quick to install and likely pre-built. That short turnaround suggests we are not looking at a massive overhaul, but rather a targeted enhancement that could elevate the guest experience, especially in the queue where storytelling has always been a bit… grounded.
The contractor listed, Icarus Exhibits, has quite the Imagineering résumé, with past work on everything from TRON Lightcycle Run to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Their involvement points toward a thoughtfully designed addition, possibly a new prop or immersive element that ties directly into the Across America theme. Think something that adds a sense of place before you even buckle in for takeoff.
While Disney has not confirmed exactly what is being installed, the mystery is half the fun. With the attraction’s update tied to the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, this could be a small but meaningful layer of storytelling that helps bridge the queue to the new film experience.

Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Expands Food Options for Guests
Staying fueled for a marathon day at the Walt Disney World Resort just got a lot easier. TheHilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, located in the heart of the Disney Springs area, has officially unveiled an expanded Mainstreet Market and new, flexible dining packages designed to keep both vacationers and convention-goers moving.
As an Official Walt Disney World® Hotel, the Hilton is a prime hub for guests taking advantage of the Early Theme Park Entry perk. With the market now opening at 6 a.m. daily, travelers can grab a Starbucks® coffee and a quick bite before heading to the parks to enjoy that extra 30 minutes of magic before the general public arrives.
The centerpiece of this expansion is the enhanced Mainstreet Market, which now features build-your-own plate options. This allows guests to tailor their meals to specific dietary preferences or cravings. The market’s expanded menu includes:
Hot Selections: Chef-prepared lasagna, pulled pork, chicken breasts, pizza, and pasta.
On-the-Go Favorites: Fresh salads, sandwiches, pastries, and fruit.
Sweet Treats: A variety of ice cream novelties.
Efficiency: To keep wait times low, the market now offers mobile ordering and self-checkout kiosks, perfect for those rushing to a morning keynote or a Lightning Lane entry.
“Many of our guests are headed to conferences, events, or to the Disney World Parks, so we wanted to offer fast and easy dining options tailored to individual tastes,” said George Stanfield, Complex General Manager.
To further simplify the guest experience, the Hilton has introduced Half-Dining and Full-Dining packages that can be bundled directly into room rates.
The Half-Dining Package
Includes a daily breakfast buffet (featuring made-to-order omelets, waffles, and pancakes) and dinner, which consists of one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert, and a fountain drink per guest, per night.
The Full-Dining Package
Includes everything in the Half-Dining plan plus a curated lunch. The lunch set includes a sandwich or salad, a freshly baked cookie, whole fruit, and a soft drink.
Dining Beyond the Market
While the Mainstreet Market is open late (until 1 a.m. for those post-fireworks cravings), the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista remains a culinary destination in its own right. The property also features four additional full-service restaurants and in-room dining for those who prefer a quiet meal after a long day of walking.
Whether you’re visiting for business or the Mouse, these new upgrades ensure you spend less time in line for food and more time enjoying your Florida stay.
Cinderella Castle’s Royal Glow-Up Continues with Bold Blue Turrets
The makeover magic is climbing higher at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom as the repainting project reaches the very tips of the turrets, swapping out soft pinks for bold, storybook blues. From afar, the transformation is already striking, with much of the castle now wrapped in a cool gray base that gives the structure a more classic, stone-built fairytale look.
Crews have shifted their focus skyward, using boom lifts stationed inside the drained moat to carefully apply the new royal blue accents. That drained moat is pulling double duty too, finally allowing workers to wrap up repainting the Tomorrowland rocks, a project that has been quietly in progress for years. It is a rare behind-the-scenes moment where both fantasy and function share the spotlight.
While most of the castle has embraced its new palette, a hint of the old magic still lingers, with pink tones remaining on the tallest central spire for now. No visible work was spotted on the backside during this latest update, suggesting this royal refresh still has a few chapters left before the final reveal.
This evolving look is definitely turning heads, and whether you are loving the bold blues or missing the pastel charm, one thing is clear: this castle is getting ready for its next era of enchantment.

Sip Happens: Alchemy by Loews Transforms Cocktails into Magic at Universal Orlando Hotels
Something magical is stirring behind the bar at Universal Orlando Resort, and it is not just another vacation cocktail. Loews Hotels has officially launched “Alchemy,” a brand-new beverage program that turns every sip into a full sensory experience across several on-site resorts. Think less “grab a drink” and more “step into a potion class where the professor has a mixology degree.”
Now available at select Universal Orlando Resort Hotels including Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, the Alchemy program is inspired by botanical apothecaries and modern mixology artistry. Each drink is crafted with intention, layering house-made infusions, herbal notes, and creative presentations designed to engage all your senses before you even take that first sip.
At Universal Helios Grand Hotel, guests can try Clash of the Titans, a savory-meets-citrus creation featuring Tanqueray No. Ten, feta honey, and St. Germain, topped with a silky foam and finished tableside with cracked black pepper. Over at Royal Pacific, Golden Dawn brings tropical flair with pineapple rum, mango, almond orgeat, and a spicy yuzu gummy garnish that adds just the right kick.
The Dino
Portofino Bay Hotel is practically a cocktail playground with multiple Alchemy offerings. The Italian 75 delivers a sparkling, floral twist on a classic, while The Dino goes full slow-brew scientist with rye whiskey, espresso-washed Campari, and a three-month barrel aging process. If you are craving something lighter, The Key Lime Crush offers a refreshing, dessert-inspired sip that tastes like Florida sunshine in a glass.
Meanwhile at Sapphire Falls, the Strong Water Tavern is putting its own spin on tradition with a bold Sazerac featuring rum, demerara, and bitters, finished with an absinthe mist for that extra dramatic flourish.
Golden Dawn
What makes Alchemy stand out is its focus on experience. From smoke-filled cloches to aromatic garnishes and tableside finishing touches, each drink is designed to be as memorable as the parks themselves. And yes, there are “Free Spirited” nonalcoholic options too, so everyone can get in on the potion-making fun.
With Universal continuing to expand and elevate its resort experience, Alchemy feels like the perfect pairing. After all, when your day includes roller coasters and dragons, your evening deserves a drink that is just as epic.
Lightning Lane Sell Outs Surge Through Easter at Walt Disney World
If you were hoping to skip the standby lines this spring, you might need a little extra pixie dust and a backup plan. Lightning Lane availability is vanishing faster than a Genie grant, with multiple tiers selling out across Walt Disney World as Spring Break crowds roll straight into the Easter holiday rush.
Over at Magic Kingdom, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass has completely sold out for 10 straight days through April 3. Those dates also happen to carry the highest price tag at $449, showing just how strong demand is right now. While availability returns starting April 4, Single Pass options for fan-favorite rides like TRON Lightcycle Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are already sold out through April 1. Multi Pass is still hanging on, but pricing is climbing into peak territory as crowds surge.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the story is strikingly similar. Premier Pass is unavailable on several peak dates, and Single Pass access for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has been completely snapped up through April 2. Meanwhile, Multi Pass remains available but is creeping up in price as demand intensifies.
Even EPCOT is feeling the pressure, with Premier Pass sold out on March 30 and 31 and Single Pass for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind unavailable on multiple dates. The only park still offering full availability across all tiers is Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where guests can still snag Lightning Lane options, including for Avatar Flight of Passage.
With Easter landing on April 5, the parks are entering one of the busiest stretches of the year, and Lightning Lane inventory is reflecting it. If you are planning a visit soon, booking early is not just recommended… it is practically required. Otherwise, you may find yourself waiting in standby lines longer than Rapunzel’s hair.
Magic Kingdom Ferryboat Dock Expansion Approved as Disney Preps for Future Crowds
The sails are about to get a little more room to breathe at Magic Kingdom as Disney moves forward with a major upgrade to its ferryboat transportation system. A newly approved permit gives the green light for an expanded ferryboat dock just outside the park along Seven Seas Lagoon, setting the stage for smoother arrivals and departures in the not-so-distant future.
The project focuses on the dock located on the Magic Kingdom side of the lagoon, not the Transportation and Ticket Center. Plans include a redesigned dock structure along with a significantly larger waiting area for guests. If you have ever found yourself shoulder-to-shoulder waiting for a ferry after fireworks, this is the kind of upgrade that feels like a wish upon a star actually coming true.
Ferryboats remain one of the most scenic ways to reach Magic Kingdom, alongside the iconic Walt Disney World Monorail. Currently, three vessels serve the route, the Admiral Joe Fowler, Richard F. Irvine, and General Joe Potter. With massive expansions like the upcoming Cars-themed Piston Peak area and a Villains land on the horizon, boosting transportation capacity is not just helpful, it is practically pixie-dusted necessity.
Disney has already made improvements in recent years, including adding second-level unloading ramps to speed up guest flow. Now, with this dock expansion officially approved, it is clear the company is planning ahead for bigger crowds and busier park days. There have even been past rumors of a fourth ferryboat joining the fleet, and this project could be laying the groundwork for that possibility.
No construction timeline has been announced yet, but with permits in place, it is only a matter of time before we start seeing progress along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon. One thing is certain, getting to Magic Kingdom is about to become a little smoother, a little faster, and maybe just a little more magical.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Strikes Gold with New Signage Coming to Magic Kingdom
The wildest ride in the wilderness is getting a little extra sparkle before it thunders back into action! A new permit filing from Walt Disney Imagineering reveals that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will debut refreshed signage as part of its massive refurbishment at Magic Kingdom. And if this update is anything like the rest of the project, Frontierland’s iconic mine train is about to look shinier than a freshly struck gold nugget.
According to the permit, signage work will be handled by Design Communications Ltd., a frequent collaborator with Disney on park-wide updates. While new signs might sound like a small detail, it is another clue that this refurbishment is a full top-to-bottom glow-up. Disney has already teased that the project goes “mountain-top to cavern-deep,” including brand-new ride vehicles, refreshed animatronics, and restored effects throughout the attraction. In other words, Big Thunder is not just getting a tune-up; it is getting a full-on prospector’s polish.
And speaking of polish, new concept details continue to trickle in. Guests can expect a brand-new Rainbow Caverns scene filled with glowing pools and shimmering rock formations, plus something Magic Kingdom has never seen before on this attraction… actual gold embedded into the mountain itself. It is a small detail with big storytelling payoff, adding even more legend to the runaway mine train’s wild tale.
