Reservations for Terralina open for Disney Springs Guests beginning August 1. Terralina invites Guests to enjoy authentic Italian home cooking while taking in breathtaking waterfront views.

Some of the highlights of Terralina include an outside veranda bar, uniquely furnished dining rooms, and of course the food! All of the menu options have been curated by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef Justin Plank.

The Golden Horseshoe new menu has arrived!

When you’re visiting Disneyland Park you’ll want to mosey on over to Frontierland for some hearty grub and some good ‘ol knee-slappin’ songs and belly-laugh wisecracks at Golden Horseshoe.

This quick-service restaurant provides some entertainment while you dine thanks to the Laughing Stock Co. You can join Mayor Sam J. McGillicuddy, his daughter Sally Mae, and Sheriff Clem Clodhopper in their side-splittin’ shenanigans! And try out the new menu while you’re at it!

You won’t want to miss trying the Chicken Wings served with fries and your choice of dipping sauce for $11.49 or Loaded Potato Skins with a hearty meat chili for $8.49. If you’re looking for something lighter you could try the Grilled Chicken Mixed Greens Salad with your choice of dressing for $10.49. Or go all in with the Pepper Jack Chili Mac, topped with hearty meat chili for $8.49.

Star Wars: Galactic Nights returns to Hollywood Studios May 27th, for an epic one night event. In addiction to entertainment, special photo opportunities, themed food and beverages, there will also be exclusive Star Wars Galactic Nights Merchandise! Take a look at some of the merchandise opportunities you’ll be able to enjoy at the event.

There will be limited edition merchandise commemorating the event will be featuring art from the upcoming movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, including a t-shirt, stainless steel water bottle and pin. The t-shirt and water bottle are featured above.

Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano), one of the most fabulous ladies from the Star Wars galaxy will make an appearance. Ashley is also the person behind the Her Universe, a fashion forward clothing brand that offers stylish options for fandoms!

Ashley will appear at the event in the Once Upon a Time gift shop with an assortment of her merchandise. She will also sign her new book, “IT’S YOUR UNIVERSE,” in which Ashley shares her life lessons, as well as lessons from iconic Disney characters, as a way to inspire girls to create big dreams and work to make them a reality.

A wristband is required to meet Ashley and will be distributed with purchase at the signing location on the day of the event.

Guests can stop by the Launch Bay Cargo to meet Tom Johnson, the General Manager of Skywalker Vineyards. Tom will also be available to sign your purchased wine or olive oil bottles from 7 p.m.-midnight (intermittently).

Adventures by Disney will take you on an exploration of the many historical Japanese temples and shrines during this exciting 11-day, 10-night itinerary. Your family will head to Kyoto and experience the Pure Water Temple and the exquisite Fushimi Inari Shrine not to mention their gardens, traditional wooden houses, Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, and imperial palaces. Then continue your journey to Tokyo to see both the Sensoji Temple and Meiji Shrine.

Adventures By Disney Japan Vacation Begins Booking Next Month

Adventures by Disney takes you to places that normal tourists never see or experience. For example, you’ll be biking through rural Japan, surrounded by rice paddies, cruising on a riverboat through the heart of Tokyo and traversing Kyoto’s celebrated bamboo forest. As if that wasn’t enough, Adventures by Disney guests will experience the wonder of time-honored samurai sword fighting and the intriguing charm of a maiko’s dance performance.

The kids will have a blast as they learn from local practitioners of the arts of Taiko drumming, origami, and calligraphy.

American Idol’s Host and Judges Get Emojified on Disney Emoji Blitz

ABC Television Group’s American Idol has an upcoming “Disney Night” episode. In honor of this, the popular mobile game Disney Emoji Blitz has emojified the host Ryan Seacrest, along with the show’s judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.

Disney Emoji Blitz has almost 20 million players, with more than 500 thousand playing daily and has only been available for two years. You can find Disney Emoji Blitz for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play. It is also compatible with Android, iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

In the game, fans play fast-paced rounds of match-3 with Disney and Pixar emojis. They can earn prizes, complete missions and discover new emojis. Emoji super powers can be used to blast through the board and emojis can even be shared between players. The American Idol emojified host and judges will be in the middle of the blitzing action on social media until “Disney Night” premieres April 29th.

Tune-in to see American Idol from 8:00 pm to 10:01 pm EST on the ABC Television Network for “Disney Night”. The top 10 finalists will be mentored by Idina Menzel (Queen Elsa herself) as they preform Disney songs. Viewers can then vote by text, at AmericanIdol.com/vote or on the American Idol app. Results are revealed at the end of the show.

Celebrating Friendship and Beyond with Olivia Holt and Jordan Fisher at the Disneyland Resort

Disney stars Olivia Holt and Jordan Fisher recently met up to do a special performance at Pixar Fest. You might know Olivia Holt from the Disney Channel Original Series “I Didn’t Do It” and Jordan Fisher from the Disney Channel Original Series “Liv and Maddie”. Jordan also performed the theme song for the Happily Ever After fireworks show in the Magic Kingdom.

The two paired up together to perform their version of the iconic song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from the Pixar film “Toy Story” during the debut of Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort. Olivia and Jordan are not only talented actors and singers, but they are also close friends as well. Disney caught up with with the duo at Disney California Adventure park:

Disney’s new highly anticipated live action film, Christopher Robin is set to be released August 3rd. It features the classic characters Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eyore and Piglet. Actor Ewan McGregor stars in the film, directed by Marc Forster, (Finding Neverland) along with Jim Cummings, Chris O’Dowd, Brad Garrett and Nick Mohammed.

This new classic is set after the end of last year’s film Goodbye Christopher Robin. When he has to miss the family vacation to the Hundred Acre Woods for work, Christopher Robin gets a visit from his old pal Winnie the Pooh.

When talking about Winnie the Pooh, director Marc Forster said “He’s a mixture of toddler and old man, when you read the books and watch the animation. He has these Poohisms that land, but they are totally absurd. It always reminded me a little of Peter Sellers’ character Chauncey Gardiner from Being There.”

While Christopher Robin can talk to Winnie the Pooh and the Hundred Acre Woods pals, other adults in the real world only perceive them as stuffed animals, which adds more depth to the story.

Christopher Robin is set to become one of the classics, again. He must learn how to balance work, family and imagination while not losing touch with who he is.

Disney Research Has Created A Virtual Reality Style Jacket

Disney Research, along with Carnegie Mellon University and MIT, have released details on a new project called the Force Jacket: Pneumatically-Actuated Jacket for Embodied Haptic Experiences. This jacket, when worn with a virtual reality headset, simulates anything from being hugged to snake crawling across the body.

“With affordable VR headsets becoming readily available, onbody haptic feedback has become an increasingly attractive area of research. Researchers have taken several different approaches to enhance the strong visual and spatial effects of Virtual Reality (VR) by allowing users to experience physical haptic feedback on the body.”

The study goes into detail about the specifics of the jacket. It consists of 26 air compartments with a compressor that supplies the air flow. It is designed so that the tubing, air compartments, valves, etc. are effective but yet, not bulky. The jacket weighs in at about 5 pounds.

Disney still has work to do and progress is being made. ” At this stage of work, the goal is to develop core technology for the Force Jacket that will be sufficient for basic psychophysical assessment and to design and test an initial set of effects.” Testing on the jacket included the following feel effects: motorcycle vibration, muscle enhancement, calm heartbeat, adult hug, snake slithering around body, bug crawling up arm, snowball hit on chest, fist punch on side, heavy rain, slime dripping on back, light rain, child hug, hand tap on shoulder and racing heartbeat.

The finest details were crafted using the same molds used in Solo: A Star Wars Story!“- StarWars

Solo: A Star Wars Story! is in theaters May 25th, 2018 shows us an inside look into the beginnings of Han Solo and the origin of his story.

Toy Story Green Army Men Are No Longer Covering Their Faces

Green Army Men Toy Story

The Green Army Men that walk Hollywood Studios were given a new look! Chip and Co. had previously reported the change was on its way in time for the opening of Toy Story Land on June 30th at Hollywood Studios. Today they were seen outside of the Pop Century Resort meeting with guest and trying out the new uniforms. The most obvious change to the Green Army Men’s costume is that we can now see their faces! With green face paint and some army glasses, these soldiers are ready for action.

Here you can see where the soldiers previously had a full green mask covering their faces. The Green Army Men will now be considered “face characters” just like the leader of the group Sarge, who already had this look.

It is believed they are testing out the new look so that they will be ready for the launch of Toy Story Land opening June 30th at Hollywood Studios.
