Sister Act Remake Will Only Have a Whoopi Goldberg Cameo

It looks like Sister Act 3 will really be a Sister Act remake with beloved star Whoopi Goldberg only having a cameo appearance. Despite Goldberg wanting to reprise her role as Deloris Van Cartier, it looks like Disney has decided to go in a different direction.

In an interview Goldberg was quick to express her disappointment. “We’ve been all over Disney begging. They’ve decided that they’re going to go in a different direction with Sister Act. So it won’t be Sister Act 3 it will be a brand new rendition of Sister Act, and I guess I’ll walk through a scene and that’s how they’ll say I was part of it.”

While Disney has been talking about a third Sister Act movie for years now, it seems like fans won’t get their wish of having the story pick up where 1993’s Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit left off.

Instead film-goers will get to see a new nun don the habit. If it will take place in the same “universe” as the original two movies is yet to be seen. This means that casting is a wild card right now and Disney could be going many different ways with this new story.

Although there has been no official announcement by Disney, it is being reported that PizzeRizzo in Hollywood Studios is going to seasonal hours soon. We don’t know if they will open for the holidays or Sping of 2019 like mentioned by Doctor Disney. Either way, we will be sad we won’t be able to eat with a wise-talking Muppet as often.

Halloween is here at Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii with all the pumpkins and palm trees in a tropical paradise. You can choose to enter the ‘Ohana Disney Pumpkin Carving Contest where your creatively carved pumpkin will be on display in the Pau Hana room for Guests to view and vote for their favorite pumpkin, with prizes awarded to the winners during the Halloween Dance Party on Oct. 31! Disney’s Early Morning Magic in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom is about to get even more amazing! The available attraction list is being doubled for the new Early Morning Magic experience beginning on December 2nd, 2018.

Guests with Early Morning Magic reservations will be able to enter Magic Kingdom long before the day crowds do and have a blast enjoying little to no wait times on the following attractions:

New Minnie Mouse Coach Collection

An exclusive new Minnie Mouse Coach Collection is now available at the Coach Store in Disney Springs. This beautiful new collection follows the Rock the Dots collaboration with Disney earlier this year, and is just as fabulous! If you won’t be able to make it to Disney Springs, select pieces of the collection will also be available on shopDisney beginning October 8th!

There are four Market Tote bags in the collection! The cream and white totes feature vintage styled patches, while the black and red totes feature stitched Minnie Mouse designs.

New Minnie Mouse Coach Collection Spotted At Disney Springs

One of my favorite styles from the Disney x Coach collections are the Mickey coin purses! These beauties have an updated twist for the Minnie Mouse collection, and features glittery polka-dots!

There are three Crossbody bags available. They come in all three of the main colors offered in the collection, Red, White, and Black.

There are also three wristlets available in each color! These are great for quick on the go errands, or even to use with a larger bag.

For those of us who love to coordinate, there are also matching wallets! The full and half sized wallets are featured in white, and black. The red however is only offered in the full sized wallet currently.

The ID pouched are available in black, or red, and feature the stitched Minnie Mouse designs. These come with a key ring loop so you can hook it to your keys, or the clasp inside of a tote.

Sometimes I just want to stick my phone, I.D., and card in my pocket and head out purse free! These “stick its” adhere to the back of your phone, and serve as a handy place to keep your I.D. and a couple of cards.

This Minnie Mouse collection also offers plenty of Key Fobs! You’ll find some fobs inspired by the vintage patches, as well as the Minnie Mouse stitched poses! There is also a traditional Minnie Mouse ears key fob, and Minnie Mouse glove fob offered too. Lastly we have an extra large purse clip of a 3D Minnie Mouse in black leather.

With the 2018 holiday season rapidly approaching, Disney has just released some exciting updates for the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays including new Candlelight Processional Narrators and some delectable delights that will be available during this years festival!

Held in the America Gardens Theatre, the Candlelight Processional is a beloved part of the Walt Disney World holiday season. Celebrity narrators read the biblical Christmas story backed by a 50-piece orchestra and massed choir. For the first time, performances of the Candlelight Processional begin on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.

The Candlelight Processional is just one of many ways to experience holiday magic at Epcot, including…food! The all-new menu at the Feast of the Three Kings marketplace features sofrito-marinated beef with sweet plantains and olives, queso fresco-stuffed arepa topped with shrimp, crushed avocado aji and tomato sauce, as well as arepas topped with melted queso fresco.

Other new food items this year include:

Black forest roulade with cherry whipped cream (Bavaria Holiday Kitchen, Germany)
Hand-carved smoked ham with green beans and sweet potato casserole (American Holiday Table, The American Adventure)
Three variations of croissant doughnuts at the Taste Track marketplace

For even more new foodie fun, track your purchases of five select holiday cookies in your Festival Passport by collecting a unique stamp for each one. Then, stop by Holiday Sweets and Treats to receive a special complimentary “completer” cookie…and a glass of milk!

There will also be a brand-new marketplace this year!

Beyond the Candlelight Processional, several other favorites return for this year’s Festival of the Holidays. Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt is fun for the whole family as you travel around World Showcase looking for the famous chipmunks with their ornaments. When you purchase a map and stickers for the hunt and find all the ornaments, return your completed map for a festive surprise courtesy of Chip & Dale.

Then make your day of merrymaking complete with a viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. The nighttime spectacular takes place on World Showcase Lagoon and features a special holiday-themed finale that will paint the night sky with joy. This will be the final holiday season for IllumiNations, as it is currently scheduled to conclude at the end of summer 2019. Whether you’ll be seeing it for the first or 50th time, now, more than ever it’s time to give this classic show a fond farewell.
