At a fabulous luncheon to celebrate Minnie Mouse’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, other surprises were announced as well! Disney and Coach announced the launch of Coach’s special-edition collection inspired by the one and only Minnie Mouse.
This collaboration between two iconic brands combines Minnie Mouse’s inimitable style with Coach’s all-American attitude. Stuart Vevers the Coach Creative Director, envisioned a sophisticated and cool take on Minnie, the muse—one who likes to skateboard and DJ—juxtaposed with her fun spirit and femininity. Signature Coach silhouettes are reimagined with vintage-inspired Disney patches, Minnie Mouse’s favorite polka dots and unexpected touches. Just imagine glittery details, and polished rivets that lend to a nostalgic yet modern feel.
The range consists of nineteen pieces that span handbags, small leather goods, ready-to-wear and specialty items. Highlights include the Kisslock Bag with Minnie Mouse ears and the Rogue and Dinky bags detailed with patches inspired by vintage Minnie Mouse cartoons. The retro patches are also applied to key ready-to-wear items, like the the moto and varsity jackets. A collectible Minnie Mouse doll crafted in pebble leather with allover polka dots tops off the collection with fabulous style.
