Tim Allen and More Take You Inside of Toy Story Land This Wednesday on ABC

We are in the final stretch! In exactly two months from today, Toy Story Land will officially opens at Hollywood Studios. To hold us over until June 30, ABC is treating us to special sneak peeks of the new land this Wednesday, May 2.

“Toy Story Land Day” kicks off on Good Morning America with exclusive access and a live welcome from the all-new 11-acre Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World Resort, hosted by Paula Faris. Inspired by Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story” films, the new land will transport guests into the adventurous outdoors of Andy’s backyard where they will feel like they have shrunk to the size of a toy.

Viewers will hear from Walt Disney Imagineers and will enjoy front-row access to Slinky Dog Dash coaster, Alien Swirling Saucers and the 4D carnival midway games on Toy Story Mania! Plus, new merchandise, themed food and beverage and entertainment offerings.

Tim Allen will take viewers “To Infinity…and Beyond!” when he makes a special appearance on both “GMA” and “Nightline.”

Hosts Sunny Hostin and Sarah Haines will tour the Land on “The View.” Then, “The Chew” will showcase a few delicious treats from Woody’s Lunchbox – the eatery at Toy Story Land.

“Nightline” will wrap the special day with an in-depth look at “Toy Story” and how it and other Disney•Pixar stories come to life at Disney theme parks.

Wheel of Fortune Disney Fan Week

It’s Wheel of Fortune Disney Fan Week! As Wheel of Fortune heads back to the Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate it’s 35th Anniversary, it’s sure to be a fun-filled week!

From Monday, April 30- Friday, May 4 Pat and Vanna will take us on a trip throughout the Walt Disney World Resort from the set at Epcot to Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And the best part – the contestants are all Disney fans!

If that wasn’t cool enough, Pat will double as a Jungle Cruise Skipper for a wild tour. Pat and Vanna will then join together for more fun throughout Magic Kingdom Park.

And just because you’re at home that doesn’t mean you can’t get in on the fun too. The show will feature a selection of prizes for both contestants and viewers. Thanks to viewer giveaways, “Wheel of Fortune” fans will have the chance to win family trips to Walt Disney World Resort.

And because what would a trip to Walt Disney World be without a little extra magic, viewers will also learn more about Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and see the wonders of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Plus so much more!

Minnie Vans Now Available at All Walt Disney World Resorts

Since Minnie Vans originally started operating at Disney’s Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts last year, it’s been tough keeping up with which Walt Disney World Resorts offer the service. Today, I am excited to report that keeping up with the Resorts offering Minnie Vans has become so much easier as they are now offered at ALL Walt Disney World Resorts on property!

As of today, April 30, Minnie Vans are now available for Guests staying at all three All-Star Resorts: All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, and All-Star Sports. These three Resorts were the last three Resorts who didn’t offer the service until today.

When Minnie Vans first rolled out in 2017, a one-way ride was priced at $20. Since then, it has increased to $25 for a one-way ride. Minnie Vans were introduced to be an alternative and more direct option for Guests to use versus buses, boats, and the Monorail. They also were introduced in hopes that Guests would use this service offered by Disney directly instead of using Uber. Disney teamed up with Lyft to power the service and Minnie Vans can be requested through the Lyft app. Minnie Vans can hold up to six Guests and also offer two car seats if needed.

Are New Monorails Coming to Walt Disney World?

Rumors have swirled for years that Walt Disney World would be replacing their current Monorails with new ones. Those rumors recently reached a fever pitch after several online reports confirmed new Monorails were indeed ordered. While Disney has not yet confirmed the order of new Monorails, someone close to the situation may have confirmed the news over the weekend.

Celebration, FL hosted a special Town Hall on Saturday – “Working with Walt Disney: An Evening with Disney Legend Bob Gur.” If you are not familiar with Gurr, he was tasked by Walt Disney himself to create Disneyland’s Monorail system. In addition, he also helped bring other Disney Parks classics like Autopia and the Matterhorn Bobsleds to life.

WDWInfo.com is reporting that during the Town Hall Gurr addressed the rumors about a new Monorail system for Walt Disney World. While Gurr no longer works for Disney he did suggest that contracts are already in the works with Bombardier who built the current Monorail fleet. Gurr also flat out said, “You will see (new monorails).”

The current Monorail system has been in use since 1989. To me, it makes sense that new Monorails would make their debut for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration in 2021. We will just have and wait for Disney to confirm the news now!

We were first introduced to Donald Duck in “The Wise Little Hen” cartoon which debuted on June 9, 1934, and the world was never the same again. Our favorite duck will be celebrating his 84th birthday this year and Tokyo Disneyland has announced a big one-month celebration. “Donald’s Happy Birthday to Me!” event will run from June 7th until July 7th. Some of the festivities will include attraction and restaurant decorations, new food and merchandise, and a specially themed treasure hunt.
