To celebrate Cinco de Mayo we stopped by for the Taste of Baja Menu at Frontera Cocina in Disney Springs to try some of the new Summer menu items! These fresh new menu items are around for a limited time and were a welcome addition to the menu. We went for just the basics with the Tasted Pumpkin Seed Hummus to start. The best part of the meal was the Paloma Tart; grapefruit and lime mousse, Avion Blanco Tequila, lime whipped cream, graham cracker crust, and a candied citrus zest! For $9 this was a yummy treat to finish off the meal.

Walt Disney World Introduces 1-Day, 1-Park Ticket Available with Pre-Selected FastPasses

Disney has just released a new way to experience Walt Disney World today. They have just released a new 1-day, 1-park ticket option that includes three pre-linked FastPasses. That means you just purchase your ticket and your FastPasses are ready to go!

This new option is available for all four Walt Disney World Parks, however not all rides are available at each Park. Even though your FastPasses are selected for you when you purchase this new ticket, you have several categories to chose from in each park. Each category includes the three pre-selected attractions listed below:

There's a New Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster Barrier Wall Up

The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is coming to Epcot and a new barrier wall has been put up to block the construction from guests. Are you ready for some out of this world selfies? We were able to get some great shots of the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster wall and its galaxy theme. It won’t be long before the purple wall has been replaced with the new galaxy backdrop as the top selfie location. Take a look at the photos we took of the wall so you can plan out your photo ops inside Future World in Epcot.

Aztec Hot Dog of the Month

May has arrived and so has the new hot dog of the month at Casey’s Corner. Check out the Aztec Hot Diggity Dog. Each month Casey’s Corner features a special hot dog of the month and we can’t wait to try this new one.

The Aztec Hot Diggity Dog is an all-beef hot dog smothered in Sweet and Smoky ground beef, Creamy Roasted Corn Salsa and topped with Parmesan Cheese. Guests are able to choose from a foot-long hot dog for $12.49 or a regular size hot dog for $10.99.

Casey’s Corner has a few other varieties of hot dogs on the menu including a Chili Cheese Dog, Macaroni and Cheese Dog and even Corn Dog Nuggets. Enjoy a side of fries and a drink and your meal is complete.

The Canadian singer, Celine Dion, has joined Canadian actor, Ryan Reynolds, on stage while performing “Ashes” from the Deadpool 2 Soundtrack. PHOTOS: Coronado Springs Resort Construction Update

Work is continuing on the new 15-story tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort that will bring an additional 500 rooms with suites and concierge-level services. This new tower which overlooks Lago Dorado, the resort’s centerpiece lake, will offer a rooftop dining experience with panoramic views of popular nighttime fireworks from nearby Disney theme parks.

The new tower is scheduled to be completed by Summer of 2019. We can see from aerial photos (thanks to @bioreconstruct) that construction has reached the 14th floor. One more to go!

Disney has stated that the transformation will stay true to the resort theme, reflecting the vibrant spirit of adventure that lived within the Spanish explorers of North America. The addition of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort tower will bring the number Walt Disney World Resort rooms to nearly 30,000 within its 27 resort hotels.

Work has also begun on the new dining location located in the middle of Lake Lago. In order for guests to access the new location, three walkways will be constructed over the water to connect it with the rest of the property. We have the concept image below to give you an idea of what it will look like once it’s completed.

Avengers: Infinity War Surpassed $1 Billion Faster Than Any Other Movie

Infinity War Surpassed $1 Billion

In just 12 days, Avengers: Infinity War surpassed $1 billion in worldwide box office numbers. With it’s release at the end of April, this milestone seems to have come awfully fast, right? And that’s because it did. The latest Marvel film has become the fastest movie ever to hit this number.

Infinity War opened on April 25 in overseas territories before hitting the U.K. on April 26, opening in the U.S. on April 27, and finally opening in Russia on May 3. With Friday’s global box-office total of $69.5 million, the film has, release to that point, earned a total of $974.5 million worldwide. Surpassing $1 billion was set to happen by Saturday evening – before the film even hit the China market.

Perhaps all this hype has something to do with the fact that Avengers: Infinity War is said to be the culmination of a story we’ve seen play out over 18 other films. . Thanos (Josh Brolin), who we first saw in the post-credits scene from The Avengers, finally emerged from the shadows and wants to wipe out half of existence by collecting six Infinity Stones.

And the cast is star studded, assembling nearly all of the Marvel heroes to date for what is sure to be an epic battle. Those signed on for this fight include Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and Spider-Man (Tom Holland).

Becoming the 34th film to break $1 billion, “Avengers: Infinity War joins other titles like Avatar, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Titanic, Jurassic World, and Captain America: Civil War.

As of Friday, Disney, which includes Marvel Studios, exceeded $3 billion in ticket sales for 2018 to date. That makes Disney the fastest studio to hit that number in a given year – breaking their own record set in 2016 when they reached $3 billion by May 6th.

Disney released Black Panther, which grossed approximately $1.3 billion globally and is the highest-grossing Marvel Studios film to date and A Wrinkle in Time earlier in the year.
