You better hurry though.  Start packing your bags now.  You may only catch this delightfully themed area from October 5 – November 11, 2018.  For a limited time, only guests will be able to meet Coco’s beloved characters and be surrounded by brilliant colorful decorations based on the movie.

Guests can find the Coco showcase in the Adventure Isle area of Shanghai Disneyland.

This wonderful area will immerse guests from all over the world into the Coco film.    This brings awareness of a totally different culture not seen in this part of the world.   I’m sure before the film most countries in the Eastern part of the world were not aware of The Day of the Dead (El Día de los Muertos in Spanish) and its meaning.  The Day of the Dead is a huge celebration for the family’s dead ancestors.    It’s the way they honor their departed family members every year.  Happening right after Halloween, the Day of the Dead celebrations are quite elaborate with many families cooking special meals and attending special festivals or parades.

However, Shanghai Disneyland is not the only European Disney park give a taste of Pixar’s Coco to their guests.  Since the movie’s success, Disneyland Paris also has incorporated a special meet and greet in the Fuente del Oro (Frontierland) area of the park until early January 2018.

Hopefully, you’ll be lucky enough to see this limited time special area at Shanghai Disneyland.
