Disney Guest Relations Transportation and Ticket Center

When you need assistance during your Walt Disney World vacation, Guest Relations is where you want to go. With a touch that is distinctly Disney, the Cast Members at Guest Relations will work to ensure your vacation is as hassle-free as possible. A new Disney Guest Relations Transportation and Ticket Center window is now open, offering guests another venue to seek assistance.

As part of a test running through June 2nd, guests who pass through TTC on their way to a Walt Disney World destination will have access to Guest Relations Cast Members at Window 3. The window will be open from 8:00am until 1:00pm.

At this window guest can get assistance with a variety of things, including:

You will also find Guest Relations available at Magic Kingdom park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney Springs and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.  The hours of operation vary based on location.  Every Guest Relations location is open for the normal operating hours of its theme park, water park or complex.

At each of the Theme Parks you will find park maps for that location in multiple languages as well as time guides, detailing show and parade information. You will also find Guide Maps in English for other parks at each park. Guests Relations at Disney Springs provides  Disney Springs Guide Maps in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese—as well as theme park Guide Maps in English.

Guest Relations is the place to go to have any issues resolved that arise while you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.  You can also make dining reservation, schedule tours or special activities, purchase an Annual Pass, upgrade your tickets and more.

 

 

New Walt Disney World Online Lost and Found Recovery System Now Live

We’ve all been there, you’re enjoying a magical Walt Disney World vacation and you suddenly notice that you’ve lost something. Don’t panic! Disney has just implemented a new online Lost and Found recovery for items lost at any Walt Disney World theme park, Disney Springs, Transportation (including busses, monorails, and watercraft), ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or Disney Water Park.

Walt Disney World Resort has partnered with Chargerback to help track lost and found items. Chargerback is the leading provider of online Lost and Found recovery for many airlines, casinos, resorts, rental car companies, cruise lines, and amusement parks.

Once you realize an item is lost you can fill out the online report, available at the link below. This will allow the Disney team to start looking for your lost item.

New Walt Disney World Online Lost and Found Recovery System Now Live

Once you fill out the online form you will receive an email notification with your Lost Item claim number. The Disney team will continue to look for your item and provide you with an email update within 48 hours. Disney will contact you if they believe the item has been found or if they need further information.

Please note that if an item has been lost at a Resort Hotel then you would need to contact the specific resort Lobby Concierge for assistance.

For Magical Express, please contact (866) 599-0951 if the item has been lost for less than 30 minutes. If the item was lost over 30 minutes ago, please contact Mears Transportation Group at (407) 423-5566.

‘Inside Disney Parks’ – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Episode Features Imagineer Joe Rohde

Celebrate 20 years of Animal Kingdom with Disney Parks Blog‘s latest video of ‘Inside Disney Parks’.

Portfolio Creative Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, Joe Rohde kicks off with a new episode of “Inside Disney Parks” with his special “Top 5 Places” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Then go behind the scenes of the new UP! A Great Bird Adventure and our “unboxing” segment is back with a first look at a new, limited release Banshee!

The Limited Release Interactive Banshee, inspired by the moss covered wall from Pandora in Animal Kingdom. The new Banshee will be flapping its wings into the Rookery at Windtraders on April 22. This new version of the popular interactive toy will only be available for a limited time and will be packaged with a display perch and Certificate of Authenticity. Like the originals, the banshee has authentic sounds and includes three ranges of motion – mouth, head, and wings – that are controlled by hand.

Grab your paint brush and smock and let your creative juices flow! If you’re looking for something artsy to try on your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, head on over to Disney’s Beach Club Resort where you can now participate in ceramic painting.

Every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday you can unwind with your fellow artists as you select the perfect ceramic figure and paint your heart out. What a great way to relax and recharge after spending time in the Parks.

Pricing for this activity varies but you will find most ceramic figures fall within the $5 – $25 range. Ceramic painting is held Wednesdays from 1 – 4 PM and Saturday and Sundays from 4 – 9 PM.

You can speak with someone at the Front Desk or a Recreation Cast Member from the Beach Club Resort to get signed up or more information as recreational activities are subject to change.

What better way to start your day than with a relaxing session of yoga before hitting the parks? All Star Movies Resort offers complimentary Sunrise Yoga classes every Friday morning to resort guests at The Reel Spot. This instructor led yoga session can hold up to 20 guests and begins at 8:15 AM.

All ages and fitness levels are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Mats and towels are provided on site. Other Walt Disney World Resorts also host Sunrise Yoga sessions on various mornings during the week. Saratoga Springs Resort offers Sunrise Yoga on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7:00 AM near Congress Park Pool.

Be sure to also stop by the World Premiere Food Court at All Star Movies Resort to fuel up on breakfast before heading out to the parks. Update on All-Star Movies Resort Refurbishment

Update on All-Star Movies Resort Refurbishment

Disney’s All-Star Movies resort is one of the many resorts currently going through refurbishments. Here is the latest update on the All-Star Movies Resort Refurbishment.

The resort is receiving major room updates including new floors and double beds being replaced with queen beds among other changes. Currently, the Buzz section building 10 and Woody section building 9 is closed for the room refurbishment. If you happen to be wandering around the resort and see room marked with the little movie cameras, those are the newly refurbished rooms.

The new rooms at All-Star Movies will be very similar to refurbished rooms at Pop Century. They will include the following updates:

  • Vinyl wood plank flooring
  • Two queen beds – One of the beds is a Murphy bed that folds up into a table when not in use
  • Wall-mounted flat screen TV
  • USB ports throughout the room
  • Pocket door between living area and bathroom
  • Mirror in bathroom with LED lighting
  • Sliding glass door in the shower
  • Extra shelving in vanity area
  • Electronic safe
  • Mini-fridge with glass door
  • Coffee makers will be standard in every room

Once renovations at All-Star Movies are complete, All-Star Music will be next, followed by All-Star Sports. Room renovations at All-Star Movies began earlier this year and should be completed by winter of 2018.

The Tropical Hideaway is Coming Soon to Disneyland

In case you haven’t heard this fun news yet coming out of Disneyland yet, the former Aladdin’s Oasis will soon be transformed to The Tropical Hideaway. The Tropical Hideaway is Coming Soon to Disneyland! It will be a marketplace of sorts, where guests can shop and enjoy a meal nestled along the shores between the Jungle Cruise and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. “Welcome to our tropical hideaway, you lucky people you!” Sound familiar?

The Tropical Hideaway is Coming Soon to Disneyland

Few details have been released as of yet regarding this exciting new project but we do know that it will be modeled after an exotic traders’ market where you will be able to chat it up with your favorite skippers and mingle with Adventureland locals.

It would appear that this area will be a place for families to relax, unwind and enjoy a snack or two as Disney is calling the market a place that will feature all the sights, sounds and flavors of the tropics.

Jungle Cruise

The original Jungle Cruise opened on July 17, 1955 at Disneyland Park. Based on Disney’s award-winning True-Life Adventure films, Jungle Cruise premiered with a more serious and educational tone. In the early 1960s, however, Walt Disney introduced more drama and lighthearted scenes and asked one of his most accomplished animators, Marc Davis, to sketch some humorous gags.

Over the years, as the Jungle Cruise landscape has grown, so has the cast of animals. These updates, along with the talented skippers, provide fun new surprises on every trip down the river.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room—which debuted in 1963—is the first Audio-Animatronics show. Walt Disney’s fascination with translating his love of film animation into the real world led to the groundbreaking new technology, which enabled the synchronization of movement, audio and visual effects of a multitude of animated figures at one time. This technology helped pave the way for other classic attractions, including “it’s a small world,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and the “Haunted Mansion.”

Walt originally envisioned the Enchanted Tiki Room as a dinner show. However, he knew the attraction would be so popular that he changed the format to accommodate more Guests before it opened.

Deadpool 2 Takes Number One Spot in the Box Office

Avengers: Infinity War has held on to the top spot in the box office for the past 3 weeks. Well, Infinity War has officially been dethroned. Deadpool 2 Takes Number One Spot in the Box Office! The delivered a box office smash raking in $125 million its opening weekend. And that’s just with ticket sales from 4,349 theaters in the U.S. and Canada. Also making it the second highest debut ever for an R-rated movie. We just love that foul mouth of his.

Even though Deadpool 2 Takes Number One Spot in the Box Office, the sequel will just fall short of the industry projections. They had their sights set on the $130 million to $150 million range. The original Deadpool, which bowed with $132.4 million in February 2016. It’s projected that the sequel will add about $176.3 million this weekend, for a worldwide total of about $301.3 million.

Deadpool 2 will feature Deadpool, played by the returning star Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds will play Deadpool as he forms the X-Force to protect a young mutant from Cable, a time-traveling soldier.
