This weekend Disney surprised us with a beautiful new Dooney and Bourke collection! The I am Princess Dooney and Bourke Collection is gorgeous, and a beautiful addition to the Disney Dooney family. There is even a matching MagicBand featuring this stunning new print.

The new Princess collection has three handbag styles, and a MagicBand. The new print is an all over repeating pattern of Mickey Ear hats inspired by all of the Official Disney Princesses. There are lots of little details woven into the ear hat designs too! You’ll notice silhouettes of characters, and signature princess details hidden within each icon.

This enhancement has already begun with Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, one of the smaller Disney resorts on property. ESPN Wide World of Sports Hosts Jr NBA World Championship

This week ESPN Wide World of Sports hosted the Jr NBA World Championship. The top 13 and 14-year old boys and girls from around the world came together to compete in the 6-day inaugural tournament.

The first of it’s kind global youth basketball championship took place August 7 – August 12. 317 youth basketball players from 35 countries came together to compete and play some “hoops”.

Dwayne Wade, Jr NBA World Championship Global Ambassador and three-time NBA Champion, joined the top youth along with 2018 NBA All-Star Andre Drummond, eight-time NBA All-Star Vince Carter, Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez, 2018 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Grant Hill and WNBA Legends Tamika Catchings, Swin Cash and Jennifer Azzi.

Festivities tipped off this past Sunday with an opening ceremony and celebratory parade at Magic Kingdom Park featuring appearances from Jennifer Azzi, Andre Drummond, and WNBA President Lisa Borders.

Could Disney Change Their Minds About James Gunn as Director of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’?

We all know the drama surrounding Guardians of the Galaxy former director James Gunn and his offensive tweets years back. But could Disney be having a change of heart and rehire Gunn as director? No official word on whether or not that will happen, but according to Deadline, sources have claimed that Marvel is in talks with Disney to see if Gunn could come back to the franchise. Supposedly Marvel is trying to persuade Disney to explore options that might bring Gunn back for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. With the cast being in total support of Gunn, it’s clearly something that would be in the best interest of the franchise.

With an online petition to hire Gunn back with over 377,000 signatures, the cast of Guardians pledged their full support through tweets and Instagram posts.

James Gunn has since deleted his Twitter account, but before he did he tweeted, “Many people who have followed my career know when I started, I viewed myself as a provocateur, making movies and telling jokes that were outrageous and taboo. As I have discussed publicly many times, as I’ve developed as a person, so has my work and my humor.”

Gunn has been working on the script for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, and the movie was expected to begin shooting in Atlanta in the fall for an expected 2020 release date, though Marvel Studios had never officially announced the date.

The Halloween Minnie Mouse Ears for the 2018 season have arrived at the Disney Parks! Three hauntingly cute pairs of Minnie ears have hit the shelves, and they are spooktacular. There are now the Coco Ears we checked out last month from Disneyland as well as new Orange and Black sequined ears, and my favorite the Candy Corn inspired ears.

Each year we tend to see a shimmer pair of Minnie Ears in the traditional Orange and Black Halloween colors. This year the ears sparkle all over in orange sequins, and a black sequined bow with orange polka-dots adds the finishing touch.

The newest, and more unique design are Candy Corn Minnie Ears! We saw lots of incredible candy corn inspired snacks last year, so I’m excited to see this calorie free Candy Corn treat. These ears are coated in jet black sequins, that really make the Candy Corn inspired bow POP! I love how the shape of the bow was adapted into the iconic Halloween Candy.

The side of the headband also has “Just Here for the Candy” written on it! This is something we’ve seen only occasionally on the ears, and I feel it’s a really nice touch. These are totally being added to my Minnie ears collection.

These ears were spotted at Disney Springs, but should be hitting the shelves throughout the Disney Parks as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party draws closer.

‘Freaky Friday’ Star Cozi Zuehlsdorff Visits Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Cozi Zuehlsdorff, star of Disney Channel’s original movie Freaky Friday, was shrunk down to the size of a toy in Andy’s backyard during her recent trip to the brand new Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She became one of Andy’s honorary toys!

Cozi had a rootin’ tootin’ time on Slinky Dog Dash as it whipped through the land! Cozi and Disney Channel Star Isaak Presley from “Stuck in the Middle” were both surprised by how fast it went!

Of course, she had to meet Buzz and Woody. After all, no visit to Toy Story Land is complete until you meet this duo!

To get ready for the release of her new Disney Channel Original Movie, she even had a true ‘Freaky Friday’ swap moment with a Toy Story Mania! attraction cast member. Watch the video below to see what happened next!

"Under The Sea: A Descendants Story" Will Air September 28th On Disney Channel

An all new Descendants tale is headed to Disney Channel! “Under The Sea: A Descendant’s Story” premieres Friday, September 28th. Descendants characters Mal and Uma, played by Dove Cameron and China Anne McClain, will face off in an epic underwater showdown. This live action short form special will be filled with dazzling visual effects and high energy music and dance.

In the story, Mal emerges from the shadows of a mystical forest onto a dark coastline where she crosses paths with Dizzy, played by Anna Cathcart. “Descendants 2” stars Thomas Doherty and Dylan Playfair will appear in their roles of Harry and Gil as part of Uma’s wicked pirate gang.

New Tron Attraction Signage Spotted At Magic Kingdom

Shanghai Disneyland’s incredibly popular Tron attraction is making it’s way to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World! Guests will have the chance to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles and take a spin on an enclosed coaster. We spotted the exciting new signage for Tron this morning at Magic Kingdom!

At the Fantasyland Walt Disney World Railroad station, you can clearly see where Tron’s new home will be.

The Tron concept art from D23 last year shows the exact location of where Tron will sit. The construction of the attraction will cause a temporary closure of the Walt Disney World Railroad beginning in December. Guests will still be able to check out the Disney trains at the station.

The Tomorrowland Speedway will also be temporarily closed in 2019 for a track adjustment.

Walt Disney World plans to have the new Tron attraction open in time for it’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2021. Stay tuned for more Tron updates!
