Will composer John Williams have a part in Star War: Galaxy’s Edge opening at both Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort in 2019? That’s the rumor!
Williams has had the title of composer for every episodic installment of the Star Wars franchise – yes, all of them. And now it is rumored that, along with Michael Giacchino, he will write and score music for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both US theme parks.
The two are expected to join together to create the music that will enhance this new land’s rides and attractions as well as the music guests here while walking around the galaxy far far away.
This won’t be their first collaboration, however. The two also joined forces on Star Tours — The Adventures Continue, a 3D attraction found at Disney parks worldwide. The iconic music that Williams created is used on the ride while Giacchino is credited with the queue music and that heard during the pre-show.
Music scored by Williams can also be heard on the Indiana Jones Adventure ride. While Giacchino can include the music for Disneyland Paris’ Ratatouille ride and the Incredibles 2-inspired Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure Park to his resume.
