Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party brings the magic closer to fans than ever before through dynamic and immersive moments that take place on the ice, in the air, and in the seats. Produced by Feld Entertainment, Inc., the worldwide leader in live touring family entertainment, Disney On Ice is once again elevating the ice show experience with brand-new engaging elements that will fascinate both newcomers and seasoned guests alike. Joined by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, live hosts will enliven the performance space by welcoming everyone into the magical world of Disney On Ice, setting the stage for a participatory adventure. Guests will embark on a search for clues to find Tinker Bell after Captain Hook tries to capture her magic. As each scene unfolds, compelling storytelling will be delivered through multi-level production numbers by skaters, performers and acrobats alike.

As Miguel from Disney●Pixar’s Coco crosses the marigold bridge, he finds himself in the magnificent and mystical Land of the Dead. In this culturally-rich, vibrantly-colorful performance, skeletons atop sway poles swing back and forth over the audience in a dazzling display perfectly suited to this exciting and beautiful celebration of family. Through video projection, Arendelle builds from the ground up, and ice harvesters from Disney’s Frozen use extreme skating to launch themselves from the mountainous, wintry slopes delivering an athletically-driven performance as they chop their way through blocks of ice. The iconic chandelier seen in “Be Our Guest” comes to life as Belle and the enchanted objects from Beauty and the Beast become a rotating carousel that lifts upward into the air using aerial silks, mesmerizing onlookers seated above and below.

In a high-energy opening number, Club Mickey Mouse-inspired performers will hype up the crowd through cutting-edge figure skating choreography and hoverboard tricks on the ice. Air tracks will also allow the hilarious pirates aboard the Jolly Roger to flip, tumble and twist to greater heights as they attempt to showcase their talents for Captain Hook. Aerial straps combined with Adagio pair skating will elevate Ariel’s transformation from mermaid to human, creating a spell-bounding sequence high above the ice with Prince Eric to the classic song, “Kiss The Girl.” Creative costume design and fabrication will enhance the scenes as the ensemble imitates life “Under the Sea” from Disney’s The Little Mermaid and will also give the illusion the ice is enveloped in flames as Moana encounters Te Ka on her daring voyage to restore the heart of Te Fiti.

Mickey’s Search Party will feature a collection of Disney characters fans know and love portrayed by decorated performer-athletes who push the boundaries of what is possible. It has been 10 years of Marvel Studios superheroes! To celebrate this incredible 10th anniversary, select IMAX screens across the United States and Canada will show a decade of Marvel Studios’ films. The Marvel Studios’ 10th Anniversary Film Festival will take place from August 30th through September 6th, and will show all twenty films exclusively in IMAX. Three of these films including “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” have never been seen in the IMAX format.

The first five days will show four films each day, in release order. The next two days will focus on “Origins” and “Team Ups” films. The festival will conclude on the morning of September 6th with two films chosen especially by fans.

Gal Gadot Voices New Character In Ralph Breaks The Internet

Ralph Breaks The Internet is set to hit theaters this Thanksgiving and we have recently learned that Gal Gadot has joined the cast. Gal Gadot is known for her roles in Justice League and Wonder Woman. She will be voicing the new Ralph Breaks The Internet character Shank, a tough and talented driver in a racing game called Slaughter Race.

If you haven’t heard, Ralph Breaks The Internet brings back everyone’s favorite characters from Wreck It Ralph including Vanellope and Ralph himself. The duo encounter Shank and her unusual cohorts when they venture to the internet in search of a replacement part for Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush. Shank, a tough-as-nails street racer, takes her role and her tricked-out car very seriously. She doesn’t like to lose. When Vanellope finds herself in a street race with Shank, her Sugar Rush driving skills are put to the test—and Shank is impressed.

“She is the coolest character in this world of Slaughter Race,” said director Rich Moore. “Shank’s lived a lot, she’s seen a lot, yet she’s got nothing but kindness in her heart—that’s the duality of that character.” Gal Gadot said, “Shank is amazing at driving cars and has this bad-girl vibe to her. But as the movie goes on you realize how fun, wise and warm she really is on the inside, which is what I like most about her.”

According to director/writer Phil Johnston, Gadot adds extraordinary dimension to the character. “There’s so much texture to her voice and so much living in her voice,” he said. “If Ralph is Vanellope’s big-brother figure, we wanted a big-sister figure. We wanted someone that Vanellope would look up to, and Gal is definitely someone kids—and a lot of adults I know—aspire to emulate. I can’t imagine anyone else embodying that part.”

Shank’s approach to racing—and life in general—opens Vanellope’s eyes to the limitless possibilities of the internet and the excitement of a new world that feels like home to her. You Can Now Shop Right From Your My Disney Experience App

Disney just released an exciting update to the My Disney Experience app! Once you update the app on your smart phone, you can then shop directly from the via Shop Disney Parks!

Once you update the app, there will be a screen showing off the new features. Then, once you are inside the app, if you scroll down to the bottom, there will be the option to “Buy Merchandise.”

Another cool feature about this update is that you can scan an item you see in a store while you are at Walt Disney World and have it shipped to your Walt Disney World Hotel or straight to your room. It also can tell you where you can find additional quantities of the merchandise at other locations inside the Walt Disney World Resort.

Also, if you happen to not be at Walt Disney World and say checking wait times on the app like I commonly do, you can then purchase a souvenir during your virtual visit!

Magic Kingdom Announces Temporary Attraction Closures to Make Room for Tron

There are many new attraction coming to Walt Disney World in the next few years. The one I am most excited about is the Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom. Today, the “Tron Now Programming” billboard just went up inside the Magic Kingdom near the Storybook Circus area.

Tron is being built in the space near Space Mountain. During the construction, a few of the Park’s attractions will be closed for some time to make way for the new coaster.

First off, the Walt Disney World Railroad will suspend it’s grand-circle tours of the Magic Kingdom beginning in December of this year. During this time, the train will be parked at the Main Street Station allowing Guests an up-close-and-personal look at the railroad and pose for some awesome photo opportunities. No time frame on when the Walt Disney World Railroad will resume operations has been given.

Secondly, the Tomorrowland Speedway will be closed while its track is adjusted in 2019. When the attraction reopens in the Summer of 2019, it will be still be the same attraction guests know and love – just with some minor changes.

The addition of the Tron coaster to the Magic Kingdom was announced over a year ago at the biannual D23 Expo. The is scheduled to open just in time of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2021. The ride will be designed after the TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland and seen in the photo above. This coaster-style attraction allows riders to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles for a thrilling race through the digital frontier. TRON Lightcycle Power Run debuted on Shanghai Disneyland’s opening day and quickly became the highest-rated attraction at the park.

Catch A Glimpse Of The Massive Jungle Cruise Set With Dwayne Johnson

We are all anxiously awaiting the release of Disney’s newest live action film, Jungle Cruise. Starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, Jungle Cruise is a creation based on the iconic ride at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Dwayne Johnson recently took to Twitter to share some insight and a peek at the incredible set of Disney’s Jungle Cruise.

This is Disney’s second film based on a park attraction. The first was Pirates of the Caribbean which scored massively at the box office. It spun several sequels that excited fans for years. A sixth Pirates of the Caribbean film may currently be in the works as well.

Halloween-Themed Refillable Mugs Coming to Walt Disney World

Yesterday, Disney gave us a preview of the spooktacular Halloween-themed merchandise coming to Disney Parks this season. (If you think it’s too early for Halloween, the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is next week!) In addition to the Oogie Boogie Popcorn Bucket and Straw Clips, I am super excited about the Halloween-themed refillable mugs coming to Walt Disney World!

If you are not familiar with the refillable mug program at Walt Disney World, it allows guests staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort to purchase a mug and receive as many soft drink refills as you care to enjoy for the flat rate of $18.99 during the length of their stay. The mugs are offered complimentary if you purchase one of the three Disney Dining Plans. The mugs are only refillable at Walt Disney World Resorts and not in the Parks. It is unknown at this time if guests who purchase a Disney Dining Plan will receive these Halloween-themed mugs.

As you can imagine, these mugs are very popular! I save mine from each trip and use them often to keep a piece of Disney magic with me at all times. The fact that they will now will have a Halloween-theme this Fall is even more magical!

While we don’t exactly what the mugs will look like at this time, we have learned that they will have a design similar to the Halloween popcorn buckets as seen in the image at the top.

If you are in Disneyland, you will be receiving the Halloween-themed mugs as well! However, they will not be refillable. Bummer!

A date on the release of the mugs at Walt Disney World and Disneyland has not been announced yet but we are hoping they will be out by next week’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Keep following along with us at Chip & Co. as we will sure to bring you more details on them when they make their debut.

Practically Perfect Mary Poppins Tea Set Now At Epcot

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, there’s the Mary Poppins Tea Set at the UK Pavilion in Epcot. This set features beautiful ceramic items perfect for a tea party, in a soft pink, white and black color scheme.

The collection features a a soft pink background, with a silhouette of Mary floating by. Each piece has “Practically Perfect In Every Way” written on it as well. The collection includes a cup and saucer set, a trivet, a cream and sugar set, and then other cute finds like magnets, a trinket box, and signs that match the Tea Set theme.

The teacup and saucer set has a very unique shape to the cup, complete with a square inset in the saucer for a snug fit. The trivet and cream and sugar set both have the same fun and unique design, which makes the set a beautiful addition to any tea party.

If you love Mary Poppins, but tea sets aren’t your thing the trinket dish, and other fun decorative items make a wonderful addition to any room that could use a touch of Mary’s whimsy.

The Forever Disney Collection is a new curated assortment of adult fashion and lifestyle merchandise from the Disney Store and shopDisney. With this new collection comes a new assortment release from Oh My Disney! Just like the Ariel collection from earlier this summer this new assortment gives a trendy twist to character apparel.

In addition to a brand new launch of apparel, accessories, and home goods, there is also an Oh My Disney! fan event being hosted at Disney Stores on Thursday August 16th, 2018. The new collection officially launched online and in stores on Thursday August 9th, and of course we had to go see it for ourselves! Many of the new items are available both online and in store, but we did find there were a few things not available online yet too.
