The Lion King & Jungle Festival At Disneyland Paris Starts June 30th!

As if Disneyland Paris couldn’t get any better, this summer is going to be epic! The Lion King & Jungle Festival at Disneyland Paris will run from June 30^th through September 22^nd! This all-new, exclusive interactive experience is only available for a limited-time.

The Lion King & Jungle Festival invites guest to experience the rhythms of the African Savannah and the Indian Jungle. Guests will experience singers, dancers, acrobats and more bringing to life iconic scenes from “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands.” Guests will recognize the renditions of classic songs, such as “Circle of Life,” “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “Hakuna Matata”. The show will feature original choreography and costume design. Weekend shows will also be interpreted in French Sign Language.

Of course, we can’t experience the rhythms of the Indian Jungle without our pals Baloo, King Louie and Mickey and friends! Proceeding from every side of the park, guests will experience the “Jungle Book Jive” featuring the classic songs, such as “The Bare Necessities” and “I Wan’na Be Like You”.

In addition, a new “Djembe Joy” village, dedicated to The Lion King & Jungle Festival, will offer an interactive experience featuring appearances by Rafiki and King Louie. Timon and Pumbaa will also be waiting for guests in Adventureland where they will teach their philosophy by dancing to Timon’s “MataDance”.

Disneyland Paris Is Holding An Official Pride Parade

The popular event Magical Pride will return to Disneyland Paris this year for Pride Month. Magical Pride, similar to Walt Disney World and Disneyland’s Gay Days, started as an unofficial fan event back in 2014. This year, Disneyland Paris is turning it into an officially sanctioned park event, including a special celebratory parade!

Walt Disney Studios Park will host the celebration of pride on Saturday, June 1st, marking the official start of Pride Month. Magical Pride will be a separately ticketed event where LGBTQ+, their families, friends, and allies are invited to attend. The park will close to regular guests for this special event that runs from 8 pm till 2 am! Special experiences are set to include:

Access to Selected Attractions
Disney Character Meet ‘n’ Greets
Magical March of Diversity Parade
DJs & Special Live Music Performances
Karaoke Theatre Experiences
Themed Photo Locations

LGBTQ+ events have a long history in Disney parks, with the first “Gay Days” taking place at Walt Disney World back in 1991. Since then, the unofficial events have grown in popularity to include most of the theme parks around the world. Just last year, Disney debuted Pride merchandise for the month of June, including the very popular Mickey Ears design.

It’s no big secret that the polar vortex is back in the United States. I think everyone has been freezing all day. In fact, the lowest recorded temperature according to The Weather Channel occurred in Cotton, Minnesota where it was -56 degrees Fahrenheit. (Anyone else have problems imagining what that temperature even feels like?!?)

What could be causing this chilly weather you ask? Elsa from Frozen! In the process of ‘letting it go’ she caused massive snowstorms and subzero temperatures all across the country. Fear not though! Elsa has been captured by the Hanahan Police Department in South Carolina. She has currently been booked under no bond until further notice. Maybe Anna, Kristoff, and Sven are on their way to rescue her? Hopefully, Elsa will learn how to love again and thaw the country. She will have to make sure that she creates a flurry cloud for Olaf though!

I relate most to Olaf when he described summer. I’ve also loved summer, and the sun, and all things hot. I’d much prefer to be sitting with a drink in hand and getting tanned during summer! Do you prefer the warmer weather or does the cold not bother you? I hope everyone is staying warm and safe during this weather.

NFL Football players, they’re just like us! Yes, folks once the game wraps up Sunday night, one high profile player will say something most of us have also said. It will be one of two phrases, either I’m going to Walt Disney World or perhaps, I’m going to Disneyland!

Attention Patriots fans, Rams fans, and anyone else who enjoys a live stream of a Disney parade. Tune in Monday, February 4, 2019, as a live stream of the Player of the Game Parade is shown on #DisneyParksLIVE.

The location of the parade is still yet to be determined. Both the player and location will be announced Sunday night. If you are asking why, well, we won’t know either detail until the game is won. If the New England Patriots win the parade will occur at Walt Disney World in Florida. If the Los Angles Rams are victorious the parade will be held at Disneyland in California. The details of the event, as well as the location, will be announced on Disney Parks Blog just after the conclusion of the game Sunday. The parade time will also be shared after the winning team and visiting player is known.

Superbowl LIII will be played Sunday in Atlanta. The New England Patriots will be facing off against the Los Angles Rams. Excitement for the game is already in full force and will continue as the parade comes right down Main Street U.S.A

So who will it be? Only time will tell. Best of luck to your favorite (or favorite of the game) team!

If you’ve ever been inside Trader Sam’s you know it’s a dark and mysterious place, that’s full of south seas romance, and Tiki God mysticism. Disneyland Space Mountain Forced to Close Because a Guest Climbed Off the Ride While in Motion

Disneyland Space Mountain forced to close because a guest climbed off the ride while in motion!

The Orange County Register is reporting that Anaheim police confirmed a guest climbed out of his seat while the ride was in motion causing the ride to shut down. “He didn’t fall out. He had to maneuver himself around the safety mechanism.” said Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

The guest was in his early 20’s and had been diagnosed with cognitive disabilities. A cast member realized that he had left the ride vehicle and the attraction was forced to stop. This happened during a slow portion of the ride before the initial climb. The guest was uninjured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The Disneyland attraction has remained closed since the incident.

Disney and Pixar are currently putting the finishes on the latest installment of the Toy Story film series. The first three films are considered some of Pixar’s best and have been cherished by multiple generations. Toy Story 4 is slated to hit screens this summer and the film’s stars marked their final day of recording for the movie. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen both tweeted to recognize the final voice sessions as Woody and Buzz Lightyear respectively.

The two veteran actors have played the iconic roles of Buzz and Woody since the first Toy Story film in 1995. Over the decades they have reprised their roles in sequels and short films. The franchise has even inspired rides, attractions and a newly opened land at Walt Disney World. The movie features many other actors reprising their roles from the previous films, Like Joan Cusack (Jessie), as well as some new additions to the cast. Actors like Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key (Ducky and Bunny), and Keanu Reeves in a mysterious unnamed role, will add to the ensemble. Toy Story 4 is scheduled to open nationwide on June 21, 2019.

Universal Orlando is now hiring 2,500 new Team Members for full-time, part-time, seasonal and professional career opportunities across the entire resort. Full and Part-time positions are available in all areas including Attractions, Aquatics, Food Services, Culinary, Custodial, Warehouse, Entrance Operations, Sales – and more. Also, base hourly pay for Universal Orlando team members will increase to at least $12 on February 3.

Universal Orlando is also now hiring additional Lifeguards to support Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park. In the coming weeks, Universal Orlando will host specific hiring events for these Lifeguard positions. New hourly rates for Lifeguards start at $12.50 for Aquatic Attractions Lifeguards and up to $13.50 for Deep Water Lifeguards.
