First up is the adorable new cake pop. This cat-themed treat features a vanilla cake base and is covered in vanilla frosting and white chocolate. The cake pop is $2.29 for one or three for $5.99.

In Preparation for Hurricane Florence Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort Closes

In preparation for Hurricane Florence Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort closes! Hurricane Florence is churning in the Atlantic Ocean all while gaining strength and heading for the East Coast of the United States. As of right now it is a Category 4 and is expected to become a Category 5 by the time she makes landfall. Many coastal and inland cities have begun making precautions and preparations for the Hurricane, and now we have word that Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina is doing the same.

With Hurricane Florence approaching the U.S. East Coast, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will close on Tuesday, Sept. 11 and is expected to remain closed through Monday, Sept. 17. Please continue to check back for updates. Members and Guests with questions about an upcoming reservation should contact Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or your travel agent.

Please keep in mind that the reopening date could be extended if there are extensive damages done to the resort. We won’t know until the Hurricane passes, but we will make sure to keep you updated as we know of any news.

Last weekend at New York Fashion Week, the Disney Villains took center stage. The luxury brand The Blonds delivered their SS’19 collection, which was inspired by some of our favorite Disney Villains. The Blonds x Disney Villains Fashion Show rocked the runway, with wicked style.

Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Evil Queen, the Queen of Hearts, Dr. Facillier, Ursula and her dark eel minions Flotsam and Jetsam were reimagined by THE BLONDS’ designer Phillipe Blond and creative director David Blond, who are known for creating glamorously over the top pieces with a rebellious twist. The show starred Paris Hilton, Johnny Wujek, Hennessy Carolina, Robert Verdi, Ashley Longshore, and Amrezy.

Global superstar Shakira meets Miguel of Disney•Pixar’s “Coco” at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, Calif., Sept. 9, 2018, while on break from her world tour. At Disney California Adventure Park, “Coco” is the heart of the theming of Plaza de Familia, a limited-time festivity at Paradise Gardens. Guests are invited to share memories of loved ones at the interactive Memory Wall. A limited edition photo opportunity will be set up around the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) for guests to take photos and remember their visit by. A new mask-making craft that depicts an alejibre (spirit guide) from the film “Coco” will also be available. Guests will also be able to take in a beautiful art exhibit called The World of Coco while enjoying a live Mariachi band and delicious Mexican food from Paradise Gardens Grill.

In addition to the Mariachi band, guests can also enjoy the A Musical Celebration of Coco show. The show features the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia and the Grammy-award winning Mariachi Divas for a festive show of music and dance that tells the incredible story of young Miguel’s journey as seen in “Coco.” New this year, this charming troupe of singers and authentic Folklórico dancers is joined by Miguel, brought to life in a whimsical, hand-crafted style inspired by traditional Mexican folk art.

The Día de los Muertos magic also extends to Cars Land. An ofrenda (a remembrance altar) will be on display that pays tribute to Doc Hudson (aka, the Fabulous Hudson Hornet). Look for it at Ramone’s House of Body Art, just down Route 66!

Over at Disneyland Park, Zócalo Park in Frontierland will be decked out with an elaborate and colorful display in honor of Día de los Muertos. This immersive setting features beautiful marigolds and papel picado throughout the installation, along with a traditional ofrenda, calaveras (sugar skulls), an iconic figure of La Catrina and delicious food at the nearby Rancho del Zócalo.

These Día de los Muertos experiences will be offered beginning September 7 and run until November 2, 2018 at the Disneyland Resort.

A new bar has popped up in Town Center at Disney Springs! As we were strolling around Disney Springs today, we came across a new pop-up bar in the Town Center area near the Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade, and Vera Bradley stores among others.

Due to the nature of the bar, only a limited menu is offered but there should be something for everyone looking for a refreshing beer or cocktail to cool down with under the Florida sun.

The menu consists of the following:

Patron Platinum Margarita $12.75

Patron Silver Tequilla, Cointreau, house-made sweet and sour

Floria Mule $11.75

Florida Orlando Orange Vodka and lime juice topped with Fever Tree Ginger Beer
