With Ralph Breaks the Internet Coming home on Digital and DVD/Blu-Ray soon, we’re all excited for the bonus features and deleted scenes! It looks like someone else besides Ralph and Vanellope almost went to the internet, in this Q*bert Deleted scene unveiled by USA Today.

Unfortunately Qbert and the rest of Qbert didn’t make it to the internet, but we can still enjoy what could have been with this fun deleted scene from USA Today.

In the clip Q*bert gets sucked away to the web, and well a little bit of chaos ensues, but I’ll let you watch the clip to see all the excitement.

Phil Johnston explained to USA Today why the scene had to be deleted “As much as we wanted to see a shell-shocked Q*bert with the thousand-yard stare of a hardened combat veteran, we needed to get Ralph and Vanellope into the Internet more quickly.”

Disney’s Dumbo New Sneak Peek and New Posters

Looking into sweet Dumbo‘s eyes all I can think about is his mama singing softly to him “Baby mine, don’t you cry. Baby mine, dry your eyes. Rest your head close to my heart. Never to part, baby of mine…” Disney has released updated posters from the film being released March 29th.

Those melodic words sung over and over in the sweetest yet heartbreaking way… This film has already gotten such a buzz from the actor choices to the “live action” title in a CGI world. From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Take a look at the newest posters featuring Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton, and Eva Green.

There Is So Much Hype Around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge That Disney Will Not Be Marketing It

In 2018 we were able to experience being shrunk down to the size of a toy at Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Remember all of the adorable commercials that were released with the iconic blue and yellow ball with the red star? Don’t expect such a marketing blitz to occur this year with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Bob Iger (Disney CEO) stated on a recent earnings call to not expect much spending when he was asked about the type of expenditures that should be expected. “And I would say, by the way, on the marketing expense side, don’t expect much. I’m thinking that maybe I should just tweet, ‘It’s opening,’ and that will be enough. I think we’re going to end up with incredibly popular and in-demand product with these two new lands.”

Disney has not released their estimates however outside organizations are projecting anything from 150,000 – 200,000 people to show up once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland this summer. Only about half that number can actually fit inside the park. There is no logical reason that a huge marketing campaign will be needed.

Also stated on the same marketing call by Bob Iger was that Disney will be utilizing word of mouth and media coverage as part of their marketing plan. When describing the new lands at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Iger stated, “They’re large. They’re beautiful, and they’re extremely innovative. And they obviously leverage the popularity of the Star Wars brand. And I think that we’re going to have absolutely no problem gaining attention for them or to them, and it’s not going to take much marketing to do that. That’s a signal that I just sent to our parks and resorts people to keep that budget really low.”

While this is definitely a different marketing direction for Disney, I tend to agree with their marketing plan. Star Wars has a huge fan base. The information that has been released about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge makes it sound absolutely breathtaking! I, for one, am extremely excited for the opening dates to be released. Who knows, maybe Bob Iger will actually just tweet out the opening dates!

The Vanellope Eclair Is Back At Gaston’s Tavern

The Vanellope Eclair has returned at Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom. This colorful treat first made it’s debut exclusively for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last year. If you missed it then, you can try it now for a limited time at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland.

The eclair is filled with decadent pastry cream and topped with a colorful Vanellope white chocolate topper. To add some crunch, the whole thing is covered in fruity rice cereal. This treat is an absolute must any Sugar Rush fan.

That’s not the only Wreck it Ralph inspired treat to be found at Walt Disney World. The new Vanellope’s Ice Cream Sundae is fit for the whole family. Loki Returning to Our TV Screens in New Series!

Loki is returning to our screens, as Tom Hiddleston is set to reprise his role as the God of Mischief in a new Marvel TV series based on Loki according to the BBC.

Whilst it is still unsure as to where in the Marvel timeline this new series will fit into, particularly due to the character’s fate in Avengers: Infinity War!

The new show will be released on Disney’s brand new streaming service called Disney +.

Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger also announced that Lucasfilm will be developing a second Star Wars live-action series for the new service. The series will follow the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and set prior to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna, who played Cassian Andor said “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me” and that “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey.”. When reflecting on the new tv series he said, “We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply”.

When news originally emerged about Disney’s plans to launch a number of series about the Marvel characters, many believed there would be a show focusing on Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, however, there has been no update so far. Alternatively, Disney did announce that we can expect to see new stories set in the world of Pixar’s Monsters Inc as well as High School Musical!

Disney + is set to launch in the US, late 2019!

Sneak-Peek of the New Photo Opp Boxes at Magic Kingdom

As we have all heard, Disney has replaced a few in-person photograph locations with the new Photo Opp boxes. It was quite the shock to hear this news and left many fans wondering what this meant for the future of Disney. We still do not know the answer to this question, but we do have a sneak-peek of one of the photo opp boxes at Magic Kingdom.

While we weren’t sure what we were going to see when Disney finally rolled out this new addition, it was safe to say most everyone agreed that they did not want to see just a black box. Maybe Disney listened? As you can see here they are at least camouflaged into the scene surrounding Tinker Bell. Using the same wallpaper forest scene the camera sets away from the wall enough that you know it is there, but hidden enough that it is not a huge eye sore.

The Photo Opp Box camera takes continuous shots as guests interact with Tinker Bell, potentially capturing those unforgettable moments guests don’t generally capture on camera. Guests will still have the opportunity to pose with the character as well, so don’t feel as if you are going to lose that aspect with the new Photo Opp Boxes.

Once your interaction is done during your meet and greet, guests will continue on to a small kiosk. The kiosk will display all your photos the new Photo Opp boxes capture during your encounter. After you view your photos you will have the opportunity to scan your magic band to add your photos to your memory maker package. If you do not have Memory maker a special ticket will print out to collect your photos another time.

TRON Lightcycle Power Run Construction Update

We’ve spotted lots of new activity at the future site of the TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Tomorrowland. The indoor coaster is slated to open in 2021, just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.

With the temporary closure of the Tomorrowland Speedway and the Walt Disney World Railroad, temporary barriers have been put up to block views of the site from parkgoers. The walkway behind Space Mountain that cuts behind the Speedway has also been closed. The smoking area that was located along the path had been temporarily relocated to the side of Space Mountain.

Riders on the People Mover can get a glimpse of the open areas of the construction site. Machines are busy clearing the area, and drainage and foundation structures are being installed. There are also a number of temporary buildings popping up. Check out the video below for a birds-eye view of a dormant Tomorrowland Speedway, and the construction site.

As construction progresses, the Tomorrowland Speedway is expected to re-open this summer. No word from Disney as to when the Railroad will re-open. However, guests wanting an up-close look can see the train currently parked at the Main Street Station.

Stay tuned for more updates as the construction progresses. TRON will be a huge headlining attraction when it opens to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. The rollercoasters first incarnation opened in Shanghai Disneyland in June of 2016. The indoor coaster takes riders inside and outside the building, reaching speeds of almost 60 miles per hour. This makes it Disney’s fastest roller coaster!

Cookies ‘n Cream Bread Pudding Spotted at Disneyland Resort.

The Get Your Ears on Celebration event is continuing by adding even more delicious treats. The Cookies ‘n Cream Bread Pudding at Disney California Adventure park is one of those tasty treats added! If you are a cookies ‘n cream fan or a bread pudding fan this delectable treat won’t disappoint!

Guests can purchase this super sweet treat is available at Pacific Wharf Café. The Cookies ‘n Cream Bread Pudding will be an amazing ending to some of the other menu items, such as a hearty bowl of soup in a sourdough bowl or a turkey pesto club sandwich. As you finish up your meal and grab this sweet treat be sure to head out onto the deck to soak up the sun as you watch the ducks float by.

Cookies ‘n Cream Bread Pudding: Serves 12

INGREDIENTS

Bread Pudding:

1lb. load day-old Italian bread

5 Large eggs

1 ½ cups sugar

4 cups half and half

1tbsp vanilla extract

24 chocolate sandwich cookies, quartered

Topping:

½ cup heavy whipping cream

14oz can sweetened condensed milk

12 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed

For Bread Pudding:

Preheat over to 350F. Spray 9x13in baking pan with nonstick cooking spray
Cut bread into one-inch cubes and place in large mixing bowl. Set aside.
Combine eggs, sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract in medium mixing bowl. Whisk until fluffy. Pour over cubed bread, stirring gently to mix. Set aside for 15 minutes
Gently stir in cookies.
Pour bread pudding mixture into prepared baking pan and spread out evenly
Bake 45-50 minutes, until top has set and a thermometer placed in center reads 165F
Cool for 15 minutes

To Serve:

Whip heavy whipping cream in a bowl with electric mixer until medium peaks form
Cut bread pudding using Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie cutter and place on plate
Drizzle with 1-2 teaspoons of sweetened condensed milk
Top each serving with 2 tablespoons whipped cream and 1 tablespoon of crushed cookies.

Enjoy this delicious Cookies ‘n Cream Bread Pudding!

New Pixar Inspired Popcorn Bucket At Hollywood Studios

The delicious popcorn at Disney practically has it’s own fan club. With the love of popcorn also comes the joy of collecting popcorn novelty souvenir buckets too! There are always lots of great choices, and it looks like a new Pixar Inspired Popcorn Bucket has been added to our must have list.

The new popcorn bucket available at kiosks and snack carts throughout Hollywood Studios features many of our favorites from Pixar movies. Pixar Popcorn also kind of has a nice ring to it too, right? Not only is this bucket design filled with lots of beloved characters, it also shows them having fun at various attractions throughout the Walt Disney World Parks!

Rex and Woody are hanging out in Toy Story Land, while EVE is flying high at Space Mountain. It even looks like our friends from UP! are off to explore Everest in Animal Kingdom. If you look close you may even notice a friend from a Bug’s Life hanging out in Animal Kingdom too. Jack Jack is even checking out the fireworks on an ice slide made by Fro-zone, while Remy feasts on popcorn in Epcot.

Former Disney CEO and Walt’s Son in Law Ron Miller has passed away

We have sad news to report today… Ron Miller, Walt Disney’s son-in-law and the husband of Diane Disney has recently passed at the age of 85.

BOB IGER, CHAIRMAN AND CEO, THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY, ON RON MILLER’S PASSING

“Everyone at The Walt Disney Company is deeply saddened by the passing of Ron Miller. His life and legacy are inextricably linked with our Company and the Disney family because he was such a vital part of both, as our CEO and Walt’s son-in-law. Few people had Ron’s understanding of our history, or a deeper appreciation and respect for our company, and he shared it generously with anyone who wanted to know more. I was fortunate to have known him, and even luckier to have called him a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family,” said Bob Iger, chairman and chief executive officer, The Walt Disney Company.

Ron joined Disney in 1957 and has served as associate producer of such films as Bon Voyage; Summer Magic; Moon Pilot; and A Tiger Walks. He became co-producer with Walt Disney on such films as The Monkey’s Uncle; That Darn Cat!; Lt. Robin Crusoe, USN; and Monkeys, Go Home! His first full producer credit was on Never a Dull Moment.

He was president and CEO of The Walt Disney Company from 1978 to 1984 and was president of the board of directors of the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.

Ron’s death was reported by John Canemaker on Facebook last night.

Miller introduced many of the projects we enjoy today such as Epcot Center, Tokyo Disneyland, Touchstone Pictures, and even the Disney Channel!

Pixar Playtime Liner in Operation at Tokyo DisneySea!

‘Pixar Playtime’ continues at Tokyo DisneySea featuring all of your favourite characters such as Remy, Buzz, Woody and more! To make this event even more magical Tokyo DisneySea has created the “Pixar Playtime Liner”! Transportation with a special theme! Which will be in operation from 11th January to 17th March 2019!

Each “Pixar Playtime Liner” interior is a different colour and its decorations are based on board games, as you can see from the image on the wall and the ceilings… you may even find your favourite Pixar character!

Even the tickets for the “Pixar Playtime” are in keeping with the Pixar board game theme! Alongside this, for everyone who boards the Disney Resort Line, they get a ride commemorative card of the design with their ticket! On this design, you can write on it or take it home as a memorable item!

Sweet Treats at Walt Disney World: February 2019

Amazing, new sweet treats are at Walt Disney World for February 2019. Each sweet treat is filled with sugary happiness for you to enjoy. I wonder if having just one bite of each is possible? I doubt it. So if you’re at Walt Disney World Resort in February, you may have your brain work cut out for you when deciding which one(s) to indulge with. Enjoy the February edition of all the scrumptious sweet treats at Walt Disney World you don’t want to miss.

First up, make a trek to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to find the Purple Lotus Flower Cupcake and “The Lion King’s” Simba Cupcake. Find the Purple Lotus Flower Cupcake at Creature Comforts and Restaurantosaurus. It is a yellow vanilla cupcake full of strawberry mousse and finished with a blooming purple buttercream lotus flower. (It might be the perfect photo opportunity if you’re strategically wearing your new purple spirit jersey or Mickey ears!!) The Simba cupcake is also a yellow vanilla cupcake, but is filled with white chocolate mousse and topped with buttercream in the shape of a lion’s mane around an edible piece with Simba’s face on it. Simba can be found prowling around Isle of Java and Pizzafari.

Next up is my featured image–the Princess Aurora Cupcake! This beauty can be found at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort inside Intermission Food Court. The princess inspired cupcake is a vanilla cupcake with cotton candy buttercream.

Splash on over to Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to find the Ariel inspired Mermaid Tail Cupcake! This one’s almost too beautiful not to bite into. It’s a vanilla cupcake filled with pineapple compote and topped with a coconut buttercream, chocolate pearls, graham cracker sand crumbs, glitter, and a white chocolate mermaid tail.

The next sweet treat will satisfy not only your hunger, but quite possibly a reindeer in the middle of a snow storm. Sven’s Apple Cheesecake is available at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway pavilion at Epcot.

Before you leave Epcot, find your inner-artist during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts Dessert at Sunshine Seasons. Hurry because this splatter “paint” vanilla cake, topped with peanut butter buttercream & a paint brush, is only available through the end of the festival on February 25.

Last, but not certainly least, is the Mickey Premium Bar Dome Cake from Amorette’s Patisserie. Typically Amorette’s does dome cakes in the shape of the fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, & Donald,) but this one is sure to make you melt!
