Painting With A Twist Debuts Little Mermaid Designs

Painting with a Twist, the popular sip-and-paint franchise, is partnering with Disney to offer a limited time Little Mermaid painting experience. Three different paintings will be available for inspiring artists to choose from. There’s even a special duo painting for Mothers and children with the “Mommy and Me” class.

During adults-only classes, grown-ups can sip on their favorite beverage while painting a scene from the popular Disney classic. The Little Mermaid is celebrating a re-release on digital this year, and Painting with a Twist will help fans celebrate. Between February 8th and March 3rd, 320 studios across the country will host classes.

Painting with a Twist CMO Katherine LeBlanc stated, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Disney to offer The Little Mermaid-themed events to our guests. For years, Ariel and her adventures have captured the hearts of both children and adults. This is a wonderful opportunity for our guests to enjoy a Disney classic in a brand new way.”

Villaintine’s Day Is Being Celebrated At Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Valentine’s Day is coming up on February 14. Do you know what is better than Valentine’s Day? Any fan of the Disney Villains can tell you it is Villaintine’s Day! Of course, the Disney villains would want to join in on the fun with their own special holiday.

Villaintine’s Day will be celebrated at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on February 13. Villain-inspired treats can be found at the Contempo Café which is located on the 4^th floor. Those that are looking for villain-inspired drinks will be able to find those at the Outer Rim Bar.

Currently, in the lobby of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can find villain-inspired cakes on display. They are absolutely a work of art and feature nods to all of our favorite Disney Villains. Take a look at the display in the video below.

The first cake rotates so viewers can get a glimpse of every aspect of it. Cinderella’s Castle tops the cake with homages paid to some of our favorite Disney Villains below. Our Disney Villains are represented by such items such as a poison apple (Evil Queen), a snake staff (Jafar), a tentacle (Ursula), horns (Maleficent), and a hook (Captain Hook).

There are two other cakes on display as well. The cake in the middle pays respect to Ursula, Maleficent, and Cruella De Vil. This cake is my personal favorite. I love the purple, gold, black, and white color scheme. It is the perfect representation of these three villains.

The third cake is also very impressive! What villains can you spot here? I see Scar and Captain Hook, but I am sure I am overlooking a few!

Most visitors try and maximize as much of their time as possible when visiting the parks. Disney has just announced they have extended park hours for a few select dates in March and April! Exciting news for park goers visiting during this time!

The following hours have been extended for Magic Kingdom Park only at this time.

March 3^rd-Park closes at 10:00 pm

March 4^th-Park closes at 10:00 pm

March 5^th-Park closes at 9:00 pm

March 6^th-Park closes at 9:00 pm

March 8^th-Park closes at 10:00 pm

March 9^th-Park closes at 11:00 pm

March 12-16^th– Park closes at 11:00 pm

March 22-23^rd-Park closes at 11:00 pm

March 29-30^th– Park closes at 11:00 pm

April 6^th– Park closes at 11:00 pm

Extended Park Hours are a must-do if you if you have not attended before. It gives you great opportunities to enjoy the park during the evening as it is a totally different experience. This is also a great time to visit the major attractions like Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain! What will you do with the extra time?!

Catch the Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando

The Seven Seas Food Festival is returning to SeaWorld Orlando. From now until May 5th don’t miss your chance to catch this event every weekend Friday through Sunday with samplings of foods from around the world, beverages, and entertainment. There are new offerings this year as well as past favorites returning to the festival.

Live concerts are scheduled Saturday and Sunday evenings at Bayside Stadium. The concerts are included with park admission. If you prefer to have a guaranteed seat, reserved seating is available for an additional charge. The full schedule has not been announced yet.

Of course, the food and beverage options take center stage at this festival with both domestic and international offerings. With plenty of tasting size options to choose from, come to this festival ready to eat! There are 19 different markets included, Cuban, Polynesian, North Atlantic, Jamaican, German, Dominican Republic, and All-American are just a few of the featured cuisines. Brand new to the festival this year are the Coca-Cola Market featuring a Turkey Pretzel Slider, and a Pastrami Pretzel Slider and a Puerto Rican Market with a Mofongo, and Bacalaitos. In addition to the food, there are plenty of libations. Choose from craft beers, wines, and specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Sampling lanyards can be purchased with the option to sample 10 or 15 selections from the festival.

With a new month comes a new dog at Casey’s Corner! I’m sure there will be a ton of you that are as excited for this month’s new dog! The Main Street U.S.A. staple in Magic Kingdom has taken the world’s two best foods – hot dogs and buffalo chicken – and combined them to create the Buffalo Chicken Hot Diggity Dog.

The Buffalo Chicken Hot Diggity Dog comes in two different sizes. The Foot-long costs $13.49 and the Regular costs $11.49. (Does not include sales tax.) The dog consists of an all-beef hot dog topped with buffalo chicken, diced celery, and a garlic ranch drizzle. It is served with your choice of French fries or apple slices. If you do not like hot dogs, you can always get the buffalo chicken loaded fries for $6.49 to get your buffalo chicken fix. (Sales tax not included.)

Don’t the photos of this masterpiece just look scrumptious? I especially love the appealing appearance of the Buffalo Chicken Hot Diggity Dog. With the white drizzle, green celery, and orange hot sauce, this meal is just as much a feast for your eyes as it is delicious in your mouth!

Captain Marvel Website Goes ’90s Retro

Marvel Studios’ upcoming superhero movie Captain Marvel is throwing it back. Waaaaay back to the ’90s! Remember the ’90s? Just a few years ago right? Well, prepare to feel old. The Captain Marvel film is set in 1995, a solid 24 years ago. To pay homage to the decade, Marvel has launched a Captain Marvel website that rivals any GeoCities or Angelfire fan-site from back in the day.

Random animations, HTML frames, and bright fonts are just the tip of the iceberg for this over-the-top piece of nostalgia. Of course, no fan site is complete without a guestbook and hit counter too! The only thing you won’t see, are loading times over 5 minutes!

There’s even a fun game for you to play called “Spot the Skrull”. Choose whether the person from the film is a human or a Skrull, an extraterrestrial shapeshifter. Can guess all 8 correctly?

And, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, you’ll spot a little Easter Egg in the form of a tribute to Stan Lee himself. Lee, who passed away last year, had already filmed a cameo for Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame. So fans will have the opportunity to see him a few more times on the big screen this year.

Captain Marvel at the Parks & Disney Cruise Line

Disney guests can spot Captain Marvel in Disney Parks all over the world this year. She joins her other Marvel friends for meet-and-greets in Disney California Adventure Park, as well as aboard the Disney Magic for Marvel Day at Sea. Guests in Disneyland Paris will she Captain Marvel take the stage in the show “Stark Expo” starting in March. Right now, guests that visit Disney Springs in Orlando can strike a post against the Insta-worthy backdrop for a superhero selfie.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Food & Wine Festival returns this year on March 16, 2019. There are over 35 amazing dishes to pair with over 100 wines, craft brews and cocktails. Park guests can try a variety of flavors as they enjoy an incredible concert line-up to fit all tastes! The Food & Wine Festival is open on weekends from March 16 to April 28. It is included in each guest park admission.

Culinary artists have created daring new cuisines from around the country. Grilled lamb chops with a 15-year balsamic drizzle from northern California and Tex-Mex classics like chorizo queso fundido with shishito peppers or grilled elote and sweet onions are two you surely won’t want to miss. Looking for something sweet? Try a Hawaiian-inspired delicacy like the scrumptious pineapple upside down cake! For past guests, Busch Gardens will have treats and snacks from previous decades, at the 60th Anniversary cabin.

Kevin from Disney Pixar’s “Up!” has migrated north from Paradise Falls to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Check out the video below – it looks like she has been spotted on Discovery Island!

Research says that 20% of over 2,000 species of birds migrate from one location to another every single year. According to friends at Disney’s Animals, Science, and Environment team, a lot of those migrating birds pass right through Walt Disney World! About one-third of WDW property serves as an important passageway for many species of birds. The new Minnie Mouse Balloon Popcorn Bucket is every bit as adorable as the Mickey one, but available for all guests to Disneyland, not just passholders!

This bucket has the same shape as the Mickey Balloon one, but comes with a gorgeous Minnie Mouse bow on top! Her iconic polka-dots are also sprinkled about to mimic her iconic skirt as well. Here at Chip and Co., we are always on the lookout for the newest snacks to hit Disney World. Some call it gluttony, we call it research! The newest chocolate creation that we’ve spotted is the Melted Mickey Krispy Treat.

The Melted Mickey Krispy treat takes two of our favorite Disney snacks – the Mickey bar and the Krispy treat – and combines them for a delicious snack! The classic Mickey Mouse rice krispy is coated in milk chocolate. A splash of white chocolate acts as the ice cream melting down the ear.
