African Sunshine Cupcake Now Available at Animal Kingdom Lodge

The new African Sunshine Cupcake is absolutely beautiful! It almost looks too good to eat, almost. If you are wondering why they chose a sunflower here is a little fun fact for you! Africa is the 10^th largest producer of sunflowers in the world!

The African Sunshine Cupcake is located at the Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Disney Pastry chefs really did a nice job with this one to make it realistic! The icing on the African Sunshine Cupcake is created with a layer of fudge covered by black crisp candy pearls.

Yellow and green vanilla-flavored butter cream petals then surround the pearls. Guests who take a bite of this cupcake might be in for a bit of surprise! The base of the cupcake is a chocolate orange flavored cake that really bursts through your mouth with flavor.

Disney really knocked it out of the park with the African Sunshine Cake! Guests can pick up theirs by visiting the Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The cake is listed as $4.99 plus tax or a dining plan snack credit. Enjoy!

For the first time ever on cable, the beloved holiday classics “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman” will air on Freeform during this year’s “25 Days of Christmas” programming event.

From the Rankin Bass classic holiday library, the two iconic films will join other titles including “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” “The Little Drummer Boy” and more for the merriest time of year.

The Cast of the 90’s ‘All New’ Mickey Mouse Club are reuniting for a “Homecoming” pre-parade at Magic Kingdom

M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E… The Mouseketeers are coming home! Cast members from all seven seasons of the 90’s ‘All New’ Mickey Mouse Club are reuniting where it all began on Friday May 17th at 2:15pm for a “Homecoming” pre-parade at Magic Kingdom. Join us in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Disney Channel’s debut episode and the 90th birthday of the ‘Leader of the Club’ himself!

“The ‘All New’ Mickey Mouse Club” premiered on the Disney Channel April 24, 1989, and Mouseketeers were on-hand to open Disney’s Hollywood Studios (nee Disney-MGM Studios) where all seven seasons were taped. The ground-breaking revival led to an unprecedented wave of critically acclaimed and award-winning performances in theater, film, and television, and the pop music explosion at the turn of the century.

#MMC30: Cast Reunion & 30th Anniversary Celebration events will be held on May 18-19 and feature a very special dinner show and 90’s themed after-party at Epcot – World Showplace hosted by NSYNC’s Joey Fatone.

Freeform expands their 31 Nights of Halloween with new favorites and old classics

Last year’s inaugural “31 Nights of Halloween” delivered Freeform’s most-watched October in three years, finishing the month as the No. 1 cable network. Freeform will be doubling down on their commitment to Halloween and will be making this year’s “31 Nights of Halloween” programming even bigger with new favorites and old classics.

After last year’s highly successful “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash,” Freeform will continue the party this year with a new original special, “Halloween Extravaganza Bash” (working title) a celebration of Halloween’s biggest pop culture moments. This year, the special will honor the icons of the season as we celebrate the most beloved movies, television shows and music artists who have become synonymous with Halloween.

The network has also announced new movies joining the line-up. Marking its 25th anniversary, the classic hit “Ghostbusters” and its sequel “Ghostbusters 2,” as well as the “Scream” trilogy will be airing throughout the stunt, joining other fan favorites including “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “The Addams Family.”

And not to be forgotten, Freeform will break its own record of the number of times one network can air “Hocus Pocus,” in a programming stunt with a record for 27 broadcasts of the cult classic.

Walk of Fame is coming to Disneyland Paris from May 21st to June 28th 2019! Guests prepare to be immersed and entertained by the new animations in Walt Studios Park! Whilst strolling along the legendary Hollywood Boulevard look out for filmmakers, clumsy assistants and rising stars of the big screen as you wander. Guests will have the opportunity to live a thrilling experience immersed in the world of glitz and extravagance.

The Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a well known hot spot at Disney World. Its signature treat, the Pineapple DOLE Whip, is a rite of passage for guests visiting Disney for the first, or the 101^sttime. This week, a new swirled sensation is taking over the internet: the Lemon Lime DOLE whip!

The Lemon Lime DOLE Whip is not a listed menu item. The cast members at the Pineapple Lanai, however, are happy to swirl any of their current flavors. Right now, that list includes pineapple, lemon, lime and vanilla. We took a moment to stop by and swirl the two tangiest flavors.

If you are into zesty, refreshing afternoon treats, the lemon lime Dole Whip may be right up your alley. It’s tart and definitely a solid choice for an afternoon pick me up. Guests on the dining plan can use a snack credit for the creation or you can purchase for $5.32.

Rumors That Development of Marvel’s NOVA Has Begun

Right on the huge success of Avengers: Endgame, rumors have begun that talks about the development of the next big thing in the Marvel Universe: NOVA. With all of the success after the recent hits: Guardians of the Galaxy, Infinity War, Endgame, and Captain Marvel it’s perfect timing to jump on the bandwagon and introduce a new hero.

Sources are saying that development for NOVA has begun, there is no information into the stages or how far into development it is, but it looks to be the beginning stages of another Marvel hit.

The story of NOVA intertwines Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics and would be the perfect tie in to introduce the new character. Take a look at the story here and tell us what you think!

The story of NOVA: “Sam Alexander is a sixteen-year-old living in Carefree, Arizona with his father, mother, and little sister. His father is always drunk and often talks about his supposed life as a Nova Centurion, and shirks his duties as janitor at his son’s school. Sam’s mother is a Latina homemaker. When Sam comes home from school to find his father missing, Sam accidentally injures himself and wakes up in a hospital. There, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora reveal Sam’s father really was in the Nova Corps. After putting on his father’s helmet, Sam travels to the moon, meeting Uatu the Watcher, who reveals an invasion fleet of alien ships belonging to the Chitauri. Upon returning to Earth, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora train him and tell him to scout the fleet. Sometime later, Sam is on a mission to warn planets in the path of Dark Phoenix is coming for them. He crashes on Earth, but is able to deliver the warning to the Avengers. After recovering, Nova joins the Avengers and the X-Men against Cyclops, who has become the new Dark Phoenix after Jean. Thor asks Sam to join the Avengers, and Sam eventually accepts.”

Coke Bottle Purchase Limit for Themed Bottles at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Just earlier in the week we brought you the menus for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. With that announcement came the news of signature themed Coke and Dasani bottles from the locations in the new land.

Today we have word there will be purchase limits for the themed bottles. Guests will be able to purchase these unique bottles at Kat Saka’s Kettle, which will also serve Black Spire Outpost snacks. On the Disneyland website, the full menu was posted revealing a purchase limit of three of the Coca-Cola® beverages per guest per transaction.

Disney Classic Actor Tim Conway Passes Away at the Age of 85

In sad news today Disney classic actor Tim Conway passed away at the age of 85. Conway was an Emmy Award-winning American actor, voice actor, comedian, writer, and director, who has worked in sitcoms, sketch comedies, films, and shows. Tim Conway voiced Barnacle Boy in the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants and Ernest Borgnine played Mermaid Man; the two worked together until Borgnine’s death in 2012.

Best known for his role on the Carol Burnett show in he also starred in many famous Disney roles. He played Amos Tucker in The Apple Dumpling Gang and The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again alongside Don Knotts, who played Theodore Tucker. He also voiced Sheriff Sniffer in the Air Buddies series since Don Knotts’ death, Peterson in The Proud Family, and Mr. Griff in Hercules (TV series). He even played Tim in The Shaggy D.A. and Milo Jackson in The World’s Greatest Athlete.

‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’ Sequel Starring Josh Gad Coming Soon!

‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids‘ Sequel Starring Josh Gad Coming Soon! The working title for the reboot is being called ‘Shrunk‘ and will take place 3 decades after the original 1989 classic.

‘Shrunk‘ will be the third sequel to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, but will take place much later that the original films which were set in the 80’s and 90’s. Rumors circulated that Shrunk was in the beginning stages of production and would be released via Disney+, but according to slashfilm.com the film is being set for a theatrical release despite the last film Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves which was released direct-to-video.

The films were wildly popular with audiences and even sparks a tv show that ran from 1997-2000. So when will the new film take place and who will play the classic characters?

We know that Josh Gad has been signed to the film and will star as a grown up Nick Szalinksi, Wayne Szalinski’s (Rick Moranis) son, who accidentally shrinks his own children, similarly to how his father did so 30 years earlier.

Josh is no stranger to Disney and has worked with the studio to voice or portray several characters including Olaf from Frozen and Lafou in the live action Beauty and the Beast. No other castings have been announced and we will keep you posted about future updates about Shrunk.

There is no set release date for the film just yet, but more than likely filming will begin in late 2019 or early 2020 with a release likely to be in 2021.
