Summer pool parties are returning to the three Disneyland Resort hotels this summer! Pool parties are back starting on May 26th at select times at each of the three Disneyland Resort hotels. Grown-ups get to sit back and soak up some sun, while children enjoy pool activities such as games, music, and dancing! These parties are fun for the whole family.

For guests that may want to spend a longer amount of time at the pool, cabanas are available to rent. Available at both the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa, these cabanas offer luxurious amenities for guests who want to enjoy a shaded paradise.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ Surpasses ‘Avatar’ At The All-Time Domestic Box Office

‘Avengers: Endgame‘ Surpasses ‘Avatar‘ At The All-Time Domestic Box Office. Record after record is being completely demolished by Avengers: Endgame and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. The latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has toppled Avatar and mow holds the second All-Time Domestic Box Office slot.

Avengers: Endgame film still has some more money to make before it is #1 at the all-time domestic box office, which is currently held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens at $936.6 million, Avengers: Endgame is sitting pretty at $780 million domestically.

Endgame currently hold the second-highest grossing record world-wide, and has earned $2.56 billion globally, surpassing James Cameron’s Titanic.

“From the very beginning with Iron Man, all we’ve wanted to do was tell stories that brought these characters to life onscreen the way we’ve experienced them as fans of the comics,” said Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. “That we’ve had so many other successes in this journey leading to this unbelievable result with Avengers: Endgame has been almost entirely due to the fans around the world who have supported us through it all. Our directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, and our writers, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, really brought this story home, and I am also incredibly thankful for our cast and filmmakers from across the MCU and all who’ve worked so hard to make these films the best they can be, including the amazing teams at Marvel Studios and Disney. And of course, without Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, none of this would have been possible.”

Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo added, “We poured our heart and soul into Avengers: Endgame, hoping to tell a story that would inspire audiences around the world. Our family of cast and crew felt honored to be entrusted with bringing the Infinity Saga to a close. Untitled ‘Black Widow‘ Movie To Take Place Between ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘. During a recent panel one of the other “Avengers” Stars let slip that the new Black Widow Movie will take place after the events of Captain America: Civil War.

Reports surfaced online that Sebastian Stan who portrays the character commonly referred to as “Bucky”/The Winter Soldier, let slip that the Scarlett Johansson led film will take place in the two year gap between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War during a panel at a comic convention in Italy.

At the moment, there is no evidence (audio or video) to confirm his slip up, but according to fans who attended the second panel he was participating in that day, Stan heavily implied the placement of the new movie in the current timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The release of these sort of rumors usually comes as a surprise because Marvel Studios tends to keep very tight lipped about their future projects to keep from spilling too many secrets. So much so, that Marvel did not even tell the writers of Avengers: Endgame, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, that they were making plans to create a Black Widow based film!

“We weren’t fully aware of [the Black Widow movie], but, even when that became clearer that it was one of the things that they were intending to do, no one told us not to do what we were doing,” Markus explained to ComicBook.com.

“Right, and that’s function of her arc, right?” McFeely echoed. “Her finally finding a purpose, a family, and being willing to sacrifice everything for that family. I think of her as perhaps the strongest person in the whole movie. She’s the woman on the wall in the five years. And even when Captain America has doubts, and remember he says to her, ‘Maybe we don’t need to be doing this.’ She does not share that opinion.”

There is no doubt that Natasha is really the strongest Avenger, and will be amazing to see in action on a side mission or two in her own, and well deserved, film. Something else to look forward to in the new movie is the possibility of cameos from other characters who were on the run after Captain America: Civil War such as Scarlett Witch, Vision, Captain America, Falcon, Hawkeye, Ant Man, Nick Fury, and more.

The Sand Bar Lounge at Disneyland Resorts to Feature New Menu Items.

Summer is well on its way, which usually means new and fun items arriving at the parks! The Sand Bar Lounge at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, located at the Disneyland Parks, will have new items added to the menu this summer!

The Sand Bar Lounge will be debuting some unique new dishes to the menu. Starting with the spaghetti burger. You read that right, a spaghetti burger! This burger features a beef patty topped with mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomato spread, and arugula all sandwiched between two buns made out of fried spaghetti.

The spaghetti burger will pair nicely with the arugula salad topped with a soft-poached egg. The arugula salad also can pair well with the Double B-L-T-A. This sandwich features crispy bacon, braised pork-belly, butter lettuce, balsamic tomatoes, and creamy avocado on Focaccia bread.

Looking out of something simpler? The new menu will also feature smaller dishes, such as artisan pizzas. The Sand Bar Lounge will also feature a selection of tacos featuring duck confit with caramelized onions, pork with pineapple salsa, or a grilled shrimp with Sriracha aioli. Other small dish selections include seafood ceviche, chicken drumsticks, chili-lime yuca fries, or sliders.

Finish off your meal at The Sand Bar Lounge with another unique dish, the Confetti Dessert nachos. This treat features crunchy fried chips, diced strawberries, and chocolate drizzle. The dish is then topped with vanilla whipped cream and sprinkles.

All the new menu items at The Sand Bar Lounge located at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel sound very interesting. Are you brave enough to try them?

New Menu options at Be Our Guest and Storybook Dining

Two of the finest dining locations at Walt Disney World have added to their menu! Some say this is a welcome addition. Check out the new menu items here.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is now serving up several new breakfast and lunch items. For breakfast, kids can now chow down on Chocolate-Hazelnut Crépes with fresh berry compote and whipped cream or a Mickey-shaped Egg and Cheese dish served with Applewood-smoked bacon and fresh fruit.

The kid’s lunch menu is the new Feast a’ la Beast with braised red wine chicken, bacon, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and sautéed green beans.

For the adults, the lunch menu features a variety of new items including a Sweet Corn Bisque, Coque au Vin (a larger portion of the kid’s Feast a’ la Beast), and Cannellini Bean Cassoulet featuring slow-cooked onions, red peppers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, garlic, and thyme with white cannellini beans and toasted crostini served with a mixed spring salad.

There is also an array of new salads on the menu, including a Citrus Poached Shrimp Salad, a Grilled Chicken Salad, and a Tuna Nicoise Salad. The Citrus Poached Shrimp Salad comes topped with sliced gold beets, julienne roasted red peppers, haricot verts, pickled shallots, grape tomatoes, and carrots. The Tuna Nicoise Salad comes topped with seared ahi tuna, julienne roasted red peppers, haricot verts, grape tomatoes, roasted fingerling potatoes, kalamata olives, and a poached egg. All three salads are also served with a red wine vinaigrette.

Artist point now has some magical additions too!

New dishes at Storybook Dining at Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have been added. On the appetizer menu, the Hunter’s Terrine comes with chicken, black truffle, and a sweet stone fruit preserve. There’s also Bashful’s Butter-poached Kingklip with farro, fava beans, English peas, and gremolata featured on the entrée menu.

Light-Up Tinker Bell Wings Take Flight With Style

Quite often with adorable costume accessories kids get to have all the fun. That’s not the case with the new Light-Up Tinker Bell Wings though, the fun and fanciful new accessory is made for all sizes, including grown ups, and we’re obsessed! After all sometimes adults want to dress up too, right?

These wings are a clear plastic that are molded like the design inside Tink’s wings. They are attached to a plastic back piece that holds the battery, and is connected to the straps. The straps are adjustable and can fit fairies of all sizes. Honestly, I can’t get over how cool these are.

The fun doesn’t stop there, these absolutely adorable wings also light-up! It can’t get any cooler than that, but it does. These fabulous glowing wings also change colors when they light up! There are a few color settings, including ones that flash different colors.

They are not super bulky, and go on pretty easily which is a plus when fluttering around the Disney Parks. We found our pair at Port Orleans French Quarter, but they are available throughout Walt Disney World, and Disneyland.

They retail for $27.18 at the Walt Disney World Parks, which comes out to an even $30.00 after tax. Check out how they glow below.

The fall season is always a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. This fall, that is especially true with so many new things coming. What is new this fall at Walt Disney World? Check out this list!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will have a new fireworks show

This year, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party has a new fireworks show. This new show will include projections and other special effects while telling the story of Mickey and friends, as they go on a Halloween adventure trick-or-treating to a mysterious haunted house! The party will be held on select nights starting August 16 and running through November 1.

There will be a record number of days for Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

Starting on August 29, this festival features food, wine, music, and more. This year, it will run for a record 87 days, ending on November 23 and will feature 30-plus marketplaces with options for the whole family. With special merchandise, the Eat to the Beat concert series and much more, this will be a great time for everyone!

“Illuminations: Reflections of the Earth” will end on October 1

The nighttime show that has been delighting guests for nearly 20 years will come to an end this fall, with the last showing occurring on September 30. “Epcot Forever” will debut on October 1, as the all-new, limited-time nighttime spectacular. This new show will feature the beloved music of Epcot as it celebrates the past, present, and future with fireworks, special effects and even kites!

There is a new NBA experience at Disney Springs and more

Starting in August, guests can visit Disney Springs and experience a whole new destination, transforming them into NBA all-stars. Guests can choose from 13 interactive and hands-on activities to experience all of the thrills of the NBA and WNBA!

In addition the new NBA experience, there are new fall looks coming to the shops and the newest restaurant, Jaleo, is sure to please with authentic Spanish cuisine. Be sure to stop at one of the many fall backdrops to take some fun photos too!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will take you to a whole new world

Opening August 29, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge allows guests to travel to Batuu and have their own galactic adventure. The first new attraction, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, will give guests control of the legendary spaceship. The second attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is expected to open later in 2019. There will also be new dining experiences and plenty of other opportunities to become immersed in this new land.

Disney Skyliner Soars

The much anticipated Disney Skyliner, the new gondola system, is expected to open this fall. This new method of Disney transportation will connect four different Disney resort hotels – Disney’s Art of Animation, Disney’s Pop Century, Disney’s Caribbean Beach, and Disney’s Riviera resorts- making it even easier to travel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Some of the gondolas also feature well-known Disney characters in the exterior design.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Features Updated Nighttime Show

Rivers of Light is the nighttime show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, celebrating nature with lights, water and other special effects. Coming soon, a new version of this show will begin – Rivers of Light: We are One – featuring beloved characters from the Disneynature series and classic moments from Disney animation.

Soon, there will be even more reasons to stay at a Disney resort. Guests visiting Disney’s Coronado Springs this fall can experience the all-new Gran Destino Tower, featuring 15 stories, 500-plus guestrooms, and a new rooftop restaurant! At Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, guests can enjoy a new waterfront shopping and dining area and in mid-December, Disney’s Riviera Resort will open.

Disney Wine & Dine Half-Marathon Celebrates 10 Years

The 2019 Disney Wine & Dine Half-Marathon weekend is October 31-November 3. This year, there will a 5K where guests can run, jog or walk around Epcot, a 10K, half-marathon and kids’ races. At the post-race party, guests will enjoy after-hours access to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and select attractions.

'Olu Waffle Cone at Aulani Resort and Spa! — ‘Olu Waffle Cone

Look at this beauty! It’s almost too pretty to eat. The ‘Olu Waffle Cone from Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa is just perfect!

The ‘Olu Waffle Cone lets you choose from pineapple dole whip or vanilla soft serve (or a swirl of both!) in a waffle cone. The ice cream is then adorned with tropical edible flowers, shells and topped with a sweet Chocolate ‘Olu. ‘Olu is, of course, Duffy’s friend who was introduced to us last year. ‘Olu appears on a lot of merchandise throughout the Aulani resort, and now comes on his own ice cream treat!

You can find this delicious cone, along with many other treats, at Little ‘Opihi’s snack shack at the beautiful Aulani Resort & Spa. Salads, rolls, and sandwiches are also on the menu here, along with a variety of cocktails.

Reedy Creek firefighters voice concerns over staffing due to upcoming Skyliner and Galaxy’s Edge

Reedy Creek Figherfighters at Walt Disney World are stretched thin. With the opening of Disney’s Skyliner and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge this fall, many of the Firefighters are already stretched to the max and the new transportation system and land isn’t even open yet.

The Disney Skyliner system presents its own series of challenges for the firefighters, especially if the ride breaks down. Nobody wants to be stuck up there for hours… Then when Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opens and the hordes of people that it will bring that itself will offer up even more challenges for Reedy Creek Firefighters.

Tim Stromsnes, with Reedy Creek, states “We’re just worried that with all this expansion, we’re not going to have enough firefighters.” So far 32 Reedy Creek firefighters already work each shift and the fire chief recently requested to hire about 40 more but was only approved for two administrative positions.

Disney said in a statement to WFTV:

“The safety of guests and cast members is and always will be Disney’s core focus in operating its parks and resorts.”

No word if the Reedy Creek Firefighters will get additional staffing, but I know Disney will make it their number 1 priority as they always do.

A Very Merry Unbirthday Tea Party coming to the Disneyland Hotel

A very merry unbirthday to you! There’s a new dining experience coming soon to Disneyland. A Very Merry Unbirthday Tea Party is coming to the Disneyland Hotel on May 31st! This fun new dining experience is more than just a tea party and is fun for all ages.

About

A Very Merry Unbirthday Tea Party will be held at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel on select days until the fall. Guests will dine with a fun assortment of food all themed to the classic Alice in Wonderland cartoon. As said above it’s more than just an afternoon tea party with fun themed salads, sandwiches, and treats! The Mad Hatter would be jealous of this fun dining experience.

Pricing

There will be different price points for this fun new tea party. Classic, premium, and kids options will all be available. The Classic is $52 per adult plus tax and gratuities. It features scones, tea sandwiches, desserts, and tea. The Premium is $65 per adult plus tax and gratuities. The Premium has everything that the Classic has with the addition of sparkling wine, salads, and truffles. For children over 3 (under 3 are free) they can enjoy scones, tea sandwiches, and dessert accompanied by a choice of herbal infusions, milk, juice, or hot chocolate.

Reservations

Reservations are highly recommended for this fun new dining experience. You can book reservations online or by calling (714) 781-DINE. However the standard rules and restrictions for Disney dining apply.

Rocket Raccoon Will Get The Spotlight In ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’. A completed character arc is expected for Rocket in the final installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy Trilogy and is inspired by the films Director Janes Gunn’s own story.

Fans of Marvel in recent years followed along to the very public firing of Guardians of the Galaxy (GotG) Director, James Gunn, after a series of decades old-distasteful tweets resurfaced online. Disney, who is known for its family-friendly and preferred ‘clean’ image, immediately fired James in response to the tweets. This sparked a very public opposition from the cast and crew of the films who took to social media to support the then fired director and explained how they felt it was completely uncalled for and wished for his reinstatement. After lengthy conversation between Marvel Studios, Disney, and Gunn, the decision was ultimately made to rehire Gunn to work on the last film in the Guardians Trilogy.

James, being the creative and talented director he is, has decided to use this part of his own story to help inspire the character arc for Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Rocket is one of the Guardians we haven’t gotten to know as much about in the previous GotG or Avengers films, unlike Drax, Gamora, and Star Lord/Peter Quill, who has been the primary focuses in the previous films.

“When you asked me what was saddest for me when I thought it was gone—and anybody at Marvel can tell you—it’s this very strange and attached relationship to Rocket,” Gunn told Deadline in an interview. “Rocket is me, he really is, even if that sounds narcissistic. Groot is like my dog. I love Groot in a completely different way. I relate to Rocket and I feel compassion for Rocket, but I also feel like his story has not been completed. He has an arc that started in the first movie, continued into the second and goes through Infinity War and Endgame, and then I was set to really finish that arc in Guardians 3. That was a big loss to me—not being able to finish that story—though I was comforted by the fact that they were still planning to use my script.”

The good news is since Gunn was reinstated by Marvel Studios and Disney as the Director he will get to showcase Rocket, and his intriguing backstory, in a whole new light as a focus in Guardians 3.

Rocket Raccoon is also special to James Gunn because his brother, Sean Gunn, is the motion capture, also called “Mo-Cap”, on set for Rocket Raccoon. Of course, we have Bradley Cooper as the talent who gives Rocket his voice and previously Rocket was modeled after “Oreo the Raccoon” who passed away at the beginning of this year. We are so excited to see what happens in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, especially since Thor joins the “Asguardians of the Galaxy” as he puts, it at the end of Avengers: Endgame and Gamora from the past has gone missing! Not to mention, we should be seeing The Sovereign again, and with Adam Warlock. It is sure to be an epic third installment into an already jam-packed Trilogy. Can we just buy our tickets now? Because Marvel has us hooked!

Animal Kingdom Extended Hours Released for Select Dates in June and July.

Disney has released even more extended hours for June and July. This time, Animal Kingdom Extended hours have been released for select dates in June and July. This announcement comes days after the recently released extended hours for Magic Kingdom park.

Guests visiting during June and July are in for a real treat with both parks extending their hours during these months. Will we be seeing extended hours for Epcot and Hollywood Studios?! We certainly hope so, but if not guests will have plenty of park time at both Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom extended hours.

The following dates will be available for the months of June and July at Animal Kingdom Park.

JUNE 2-3: Park opens at 8 a.m.

JUNE 2: Park closes at 11 p.m.

JUNE 3: Park closes at 10 p.m.

JUNE 7-11: Park opens at 8 a.m.

JUNE 7-10: Park closes at 10 p.m.

JUNE 12-16: Park closes at 10 p.m.

JUNE 19-27: Park closes at 10 p.m.

JUNE 21-25: Park opens at 8 a.m.

JULY 3-6: Park closes at 10 p.m.
