I am so excited about the opening of Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort on July 9th. Now, Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders are invited to a Taste of Toledo! Held on the Thursday evenings of July 25th, August 1st, and August 8th, members are invited to Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood for this special event.

Enjoy amazing views from this roof-top paradise while you sample highlights from the menu along with signature cocktails. The menu features Spanish inspired Rioja-braised Chorizo, Chilled Marinated Mussels, ‘Escabeche, Savory Churros, Scallops, Hangar Steak, House Boards, and for dessert, Cafe con Leche Profiterole.

Specialty cocktails like gin, tonic & sangria, and Tempranillo samples will also be available to try, along with soft drinks and coffee.

These stylish fashion dolls come dressed in an eye-catching outfit in their signature styles with boots and fashion accessories to match. Surprise! A new pop-up Toy Story gift shop has opened in Hollywood Studios. This cute collection of Toy Story merchandise is located at the exit of the Toy Story Mania attraction. After you rack up the points on the 3-D shooting game, you can grab a souvenir to commemorate your time in Toy Story Land.

This store is stuffed with whimsical Toy Story items, including items from the upcoming Toy Story 4 movie. Choose your perfect souvenir from assorted plush animals, t-shirts, backpacks, costumes, and more.

Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s worth stopping in for the photo opportunities!

Step in front of Buzz Lightyear’s wings and go to “Infinity and Beyond!”

Toy Story 4 is expected in theaters on June 21, 2019, and we can’t wait! We already know we will need tissues!

Shanghai Disney Resort is set to host a multi-day Donald Duck Celebration! To celebrate one of the most popular Disney characters worldwide, who is also a fan favourite of many Asian guests of all ages since the opening of Shanghai Disney Resort. To honour his birthday, which is on the 9th of June, Shanghai Disney will host a multi-day celebration from the 3rd- 9th June. This celebration promises a plethora of Donald-inspired merchandise, food, beverages, entertainment and much more throughout the resort!

Donald Duck created by Walt Disney himself debuted in “The Wise Little Hen” in “Silly Symphony” back in 1934 and has been adored by hundreds of thousands of Asian guests since the resort’s opening in 2016. This one-of-a-kind duck has made so many laughs, smile and quack! Did you know that in 1936, Donald Duck appeared in a comic in The China Press alongside other Walt Disney cartoon characters offering Christmas greetings? After that, the loveable duck appeared in a number of cartoons and comic books throughout China and became a much-loved character due to his adorable fiery temper! Donald Duck made his TV debut on Chinese television with his pal Mickey Mouse in 1986. Broadcasting every week a 30-minute show on the China Central Television Network!

Since last year, a giant floating Donald Duck on Wishing Star Lake became the resort’s must-visit landmark! This year, to celebrate Donald Duck’s birthday from the 3rd-9th June. The Donald Duck meet and greet location in Shanghai Disneyland will feature a celebratory birthday decor, where Donald can welcome guests with a hug and a quack! Mickey Mouse will also celebrate Donald Duck’s birthday by handing over the baton for him to lead the Shanghai Disneyland Band- encouraging the cheeky duck to bring his charm and humour to the show as it parades down Mickey Avenue! On the 9th June, there will also be a special birthday ceremony near the Storyteller Statue featuring Donald Duck and his friends, Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto. Guests will be encouraged to join the celebration and sing “Happy Birthday” to Donald!

Shanghai Disney Resort will also be introducing new, memorable Donald-inspired merchandise offerings. This will include new “Cute” Donald photo clips, pins, cross-body bags and T-shirts which will complement the already adorable “Cute” merchandise Collection. Guests will also find an amusing new Donald headband, featuring Donald’s feet flipping backwards in the air.

The celebration does not stop there! Guests can find an exciting assortment of Donald Duck-themed food and beverages, including ice creams, waffles, speciality drinks in souvenir goblets to take home! Shanghai Disney Resort will also spread the magic for those wishing to celebrate their birthday through the new special birthday packages! The packages feature a bountiful birthday feast, special beverages, a birthday cake featuring some of the most popular Disney characters—including Donald Duck, and fantastic birthday party fun, with a variety of options available.

Every year, around 150,000 guests visit Shanghai Disney Resort to meet Donald Duck at the character meet and greet locations.
Around 5 million guests have visited the 11-meter-tall Giant Donald Duck on Wishing Star Lake since its inauguration on July 9, 2018.
Donald’s Waffles are one of the top-selling desserts in the park. If you stacked up all of the plain Donald’s Waffles sold at the resort since its Grand Opening, the waffle tower would be 18 times taller than the Enchanted Storybook Castle.
Donald’s Duckburg Ices are one of the most popular ice-creams available in the park. If you lined up all of the Donald’s Duckburg Ices sold at the resort since its Grand Opening, the popsicles would stretch around the Shanghai Inner Ring Road 3.76 times.
There are over 100 different kinds of Donald Duck-themed merchandise items available at Shanghai Disney Resort.

This month’s newest collection of Disney Parks Wishables, has debuted with a splash! The Little Mermaid Wishables Collection is the new release for June! This collection features a Mystery Set, and a single Flounder separate.

Make a splash full of cute, with characters from Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction! This Disney Parks Wishables collection is the latest in Disney attractions inspired micro plushies. Ariel, Ursula, Scuttle, and Sebastian are part of the mystery bag collection! Each mystery blind bag includes one of four characters from the series, and you won’t know who, until you open the bag! This mystery set is a limited release too!

Frozcato Sugar Cookie Sandwich at Wine Bar George

Debuting this Friday, June 7th, Wine Bar George in Disney Springs will be serving a Frozcato Sugar Cookie Sandwich!

This boozy snack is made with Wine Bar George’s famous dole whip frozcato. If you’re wondering what exactly is frozcato, we’re about to tell you. To clarify, it is a blend of frozen pineapple, moscato, and vodka. Combine this dreamy frozcato and sandwich it between two delicious sugar cookies, and you have yourself a delicious treat! The edges of the sandwich are decorated with sprinkles and pineapple candy pieces. Yum!

Wine Bar George is the creation of Master Sommelier George Miliotes. It is located in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs. This wine bar offers small plates, family-style plates, charcuterie boards, and wine pairings. Wine Bar George serves brunch on the weekends as well. In addition, they also carry an assortment of other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

Guests can certainly cool down with this boozy sandwich. Make your way over to the Wine Bar George counter service area, The Basket. Guests will have to get there when it opens at 11 AM, because only a limited amount of sandwiches will be made and served daily. The Frozcato Sugar Cookie Sandwich will be available all summer long for only $8!

In anticipation of the release of Toy Story 4, guests can now take some fun photos at the new Toy Story walls in Walt Disney World!

As you exit the Toy Story Mania attraction, there is a new pop up shop filled with merchandise to get you ready for the all-new movie!

You will find the new selfie walls inside this temporary shop.

Once you’re done checking out the latest merchandise and shopping, stop by the new walls to grab the perfect selfie inspired by some of your favorite characters!

You can choose from backgrounds inspired by Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep, or Woody. Whether you prefer to blast off to infinity and beyond, or head to the Wild West, you can share your love for Toy Story 4!

The first Disney Villains After Hours event is taking place at Magic Kingdom Park June 6th! Ahead of the event Disney has revealed a sneak peek of the Disney Villains After Hours Merchandise that will be available at this special summer event!

The baddest bad of the Underworld, Hades is the star of this event’s merchandise design! His insidious yet iconic blue flame scorches across the assortment! You’ll find this hot Villain emblazoned on apparel, a hat, phone case, and even a stainless steel Tervis Tumbler.

Other villains are lurking within the merchandise range as well. The special event items including a front and pack pocketed tee, and a relaxed sleeveless shirt, with a stone washed look. The exclusive event merchandise will only be available during the after hours event times, but you can find other villainous goodies too.

Hollywood Studios FastPass Tiers to Drastically Change

Hollywood Studios guests receive an email about experience

Big news has come our way this morning about a change coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios FastPass tiers. Beginning August 29th rides at Hollywood Studios will become a tier 1 FastPass, and the shows will become a tier 2.

What this means is Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, and Rock n Roller Coaster will all be in the same tier and you’ll only be able to choose one. The Star Wars rides will not have an option for FastPass when they open so we aren’t sure where they will end up. We can only assume when FastPass opens for them they will be in tier one as well.

Star Tours and Fantasmic are currently not showing on either tier one or two at this time.

Ever since Woody’s Lunch Box debuted at the opening of Toy Story Land last year, the stand-out item has been the lunch box tart. The original flavor, chocolate-hazelnut, has a new seasonal counterpart; the Lemon-Blueberry Lunch Box Tart!

This new fruit-filled pastry has replaced the raspberry on the menu for the summer. The golden flaky pastry is topped with blue icing and the cutest white chocolate Luxo Pixar Ball. The tartness of the lemon blends so well with the sweet blueberry flavor, making it the perfect snack to enjoy in a hot summer day.

The new tart is available at Woody’s Lunch Box for $4.25, or you can use 1 snack credit. Pair this with the Grown-Up’s Lemonade for a refreshing summer treat, or as a dessert for your Three-Cheese Grilled Sandwich.

Not a big fruit fan? Don’t worry! The Chocolate-Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart is still on the menu, and it’s topped with candied bacon! We got the Cinnamon Cranberry-Apple option over the holidays, and not this amazing Summer flavor – I can’t wait to see what other new flavors arrive this year.
