Disney is collaborating with H2O+ for a gorgeous new skincare collection. The H2O+ Little Mermaid Skin-Care Collection will make a splash in October, with a three piece assortment! If H2O+ sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the same brand of toiletries you get at the Disney Resort hotels!

This October, Disney will debut the new three-piece collection inspired by none other than The Little Mermaid, that also celebrates the movie’s 30th anniversary. It also coincides with H2O+’s 30th anniversary, which makes this a fin-tastic match.

The line is set to include H2O+’s best-selling Elements Keep It Fresh Face Cleanser, the Oasis Hydrating Beauty Essence, and the Oasis Hydrating Treatment gel moisturizer. Each beauty product will feature illustrations of Ariel on the packaging.

The products feature nourishing ingredient like sunflower seed oil, water lily extract, red algae extract, and seagrass extracts, which will replenish skin with hydration and ease distressed complexions.

The exciting new H2O+ Little Mermaid Skin-Care Collection will debut on October 5. The collection will be sold exclusively at shopdisney.com and at Disney Resort hotel gift shops. We are already flipping our fins in anticipation for this new beauty collaboration.

New Mangonada At Downtown Disney

At the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, guests can find a refreshing snack anywhere you turn. One of the many great things about Downtown Disney, is that there is always something new to try.

Speaking of new, there is a new food cart that just arrived next to Tortilla Jo’s. LA Ice is serving up refreshing and delicious Mangonadas. Mangonadas are a Mexican fruit drink. They are made with chamoy sauce, lime juice, chili powder and mango pieces. On top of the Mangonada is a tamarind coated straw. Grab some chips and table side guacamole at Tortilla Jo’s and then treat your sweet side with a tasty Mangonada at LA Ice.

Guests can also try a different spin on a traditional mangonada. Head on over to Disney California Adventure’s Schmoozies! and try their Mangonada Smoothie. This treat has a mango smoothie base and is topped with chili mango candy. If mango isn’t your thing, try the Sandianada Smoothie. This refreshment is made with a watermelon smoothie base and is topped with watermelon pieces and chili watermelon candy.

New Running Universal event coming to Universal Studios Hollywood this November

On the heels of the successful launch of its new mega attraction, “Jurassic World—The Ride,” Universal Studios Hollywood kicks off its next Running Universal program with the JURASSIC WORLD Run. The two-day event begins on Saturday, November 16 with a 5K, along with the all-new 1K Kids’ Raptor Run, and continues on Sunday, November 17 with the first-ever 10K run.

To experience the ultimate “runner’s high,” participants can register with the Play All Day package, which invites JURASSIC WORLD fans to run it, then ride it.

On your mark, get set, go: the JURASSIC WORLD Run takes fitness buffs, runners and walkers alike (of all fitness levels) on 5K and all-new 10K run, both geared towards guests ages 5-years and older, while the all-new Kids’ 1K Raptor Run targets those between the ages of 4-years and 12-years.

All participants will receive a collectible Finisher medal; those who complete the 5K and 10K runs will receive an exclusive Challenge medal. The JURASSIC WORLD Run will conclude at the Universal CityWalk finish line and feature a lively celebration at the 5 Towers Stage.

As part of the event, participants will venture through areas of the new thrill ride, including the iconic JURASSIC WORLD arches. As guests wind their way through the historic movie set backlot, they will also have the unique opportunity to enjoy a series of fun photo ops set up along the way, including JURASSIC film props, and one with Blue, the beloved Velociraptor from the JURASSIC WORLD movies.

The JURASSIC WORLD 5K Run begins at 6 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, followed by the Kids’ 1K Raptor Run at 7:30 a.m. The program begins at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 17.

Shanghai Disney Resort Announces “Duffy Month” With New Aircraft

The Shanghai Disney Resort is celebrating Duffy by announcing “Duffy Month” in September. Duffy the bear is the loveable, cuddly teddy bear that is well-known and popular amongst Disney fans. Duffy was hand-sewn by Minnie Mouse which she gave to Mickey as a companion for his many ocean voyages.

Duffy is widely popular among Disney fans across China along with is friends, ShellieMay, Gelatoni, and Stella Lou. Which makes sense why Shanghai Disney has decided to celebrate a month of the loveable bear by offering special Duffy-themed experiences throughout the park in September, such as a “Duffy’s Heartfelt Moments” celebration, an iconic floral Mickey display greeting guests at the entrance to Shanghai, memorable themed food and more!

The Shanghai Disney Resort kicked-off the celebration with a new Duffy-themed aircraft. The plane flew from Kunming in China’s southwest to Shanghai, following an exciting unveiling ceremony at the Kunming Changshui International Airport. The new Duffy inspired airplane, named the Duffy-Friendship Express, marks the fourth Disney-themed aircraft to join China Eastern Airlines’ Fleet.

The Duffy-Friendship Express was unveiled in front of a large group of invited guests, media, celebrities and Duffy fans decked out in Duffy apparel that matched the inside and out of the plane.

The exterior of the plane features Duffy and his friends among a pale yellow and blue background. Throughout the inside, the flight attendants were dressed in Duffy and Friends headbands, along with images lining the entire interior of the aircraft including the cabin walls.

The new Duffy-Friendship Express is the perfect flight for any Duffy fans to partake in. Would you ride this new aircraft?

Korg From ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Will Have A Bigger Role in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

Korg From ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ Will Have A Bigger Role in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘. Many Marvel fans thought Korg was simply a tool for comic relief in both Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame, but it seems he will be stepping up for a bigger role in Thor: Love and Thunder.

According to HN Entertainment, Korg will have more screen time in Love and Thunder than in his previous appearances. Some fans would also be surprised to know that lovable lump of rocks, Korg, is voiced and motion captured by none other than Thor: Ragnarok director, Taika Waititi.

“[Waititi] would flip through and read that run while he was doing Ragnarok. And I think when he agreed to come back and do another Thor, he was like, ‘How do we—?’ This is a very big movie that’ll be folding in a lot of elements,” Feige said.

Taika has done more for the MCU besides his fun character appearance and work as director for Ragnarok, he is one of the reasons Natalie Portman agreed to return to Marvel Studios as Jane Foster, and soon to be Lady Thor.

“That is a huge important part of it, says Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, “He pitched it to us, and we were totally in. We loved it. We’d been in touch with Natalie. She’s part of the MCU family and we put she and Taika together. It took one meeting and she agreed to do it.”

Taika Waititi is also highly considered the savior of the Thor franchise among fans. With the relative flop that was Thor: The Dark World, many fans did not see a future for “The God of Thunder” and his companions in the MCU outside of the Avengers films, but the much needed upgrade in storytelling and humor of Thor: Ragnarok has left fans wanting more of Thor.

We can’t wait to see Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Natalie Portman lead the way in Thor: Love and Thunder, and to see Korg and his silent partner Meek have more screen time and surely share some iconic comic relief.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to premiere in theaters November 5, 2021.

‘The Lion King’ Reigns Over ‘Frozen’ As Disney’s New Highest Grossing Animated Film

‘The Lion King‘ Reigns Over ‘Frozen‘ As Disney’s New Highest Grossing Animated Film. The record has been Frozen for nearly 6 years, but it appears the story from the pride lands has thawed the hearts of Disney Fans and now holds the record as King of the Disney box office!

According to Box Office Mojo, Frozen grossed approximately $1.28 billion at the global box office and The Lion King (2019) has brought in $1.34 billion worldwide, making it the highest grossing animated film of all time. This includes films created by other studios besides Disney!

The achievement has brought the film under even more scrutiny since the film has been advertised as a live-action remake of the 1994 Disney Classic and is mostly filmed using real background locations. This filming style is causing debate online if CGI overlapping live-action film footage is really considered “animation” or if it falls under the category of visual effects.

One of the questions regarding the film is that IF the film were up to consideration for The Academy Awards would the film be nominated under Best Animated Feature or Best Visual Effects. Though CGI takes an incredible amount of work and detail, and the graphic designers do some absolutely stunning work, they are not strictly animators.

Regardless of which side of the debate fans are on, this accomplishment does not come easy, and will fuel Disney’s drive to keep creating live-action remakes from their older film properties. The record may not be held by The Lion King for long, with the theatrical release of Frozen 2 set for November 22, 2019

New Entertaining Additions to MNSSHP

New entertaining additions have been added to MNSSHP !

If you have been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party before, you know one of the best parts is the treat trail. Trick-or-treating in the glow of Cinderella’s Castle? It doesn’t get much better than that.

The treat trail at the Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor attraction in Tomorrowland will feature a few new aspects! As you enter the attraction to collect your chocolate and candy delights, the monsters will be interacting with you! They will be looking to learn more about this funky holiday we call Halloween.

Another can’t-miss addition to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the Frontierland Costume Promenade. Here’s the chance for children of all ages to show off their best costumes. Prospector Cactus-Flower Cate will round up the little ones to join in on a quest to find the beast Halloween treasure of all too. X marks the spot for candy!

During the party, don’t forget to check out the new fireworks show, Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular. Mickey and his friends will scurry away into a haunted house where Disney villains and dancing skeletons reside!

NBA Experience Grand Opening

The wait is finally over! The NBA Experience is now open at Disney Springs. We were able to attend the NBA Experience Grand Opening and see firsthand all the interactive fun for ourselves. The grand opening celebration started the morning out with all the fanfare one might expect from Disney. Bob Iger and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver were on hand to open up this new experience for guests. NBA and WNBA players were also present during the opening. Of course, no event is complete without the approval of the big mouse himself, Mickey!

NBA All-Star Interview

Soon after the confetti cannons went off, we were treated to interviews with the basketball stars themselves! It was a lot of fun to learn what this experience meant to them. It also gave some insight into how important these opportunities will be to the fans. We also loved that we got to learn about their favorite Disney characters as well.

About NBA Experience

The NBA Experience itself is extremely family-friendly. Disney partnered directly with the NBA to create this unique and one of a kind area. There are two floors full of interactive games, photos, and more. In fact, there are thirteen options to choose from! No matter a person’s level of sportsmanship, there is a little something for everyone. Plus being inside, all the activities are year-round weather friendly. Tickets are $34 dollars before tax for an adult and $29 before tax for children (ages 3-9). The ticket price includes all of the activities. Guests can choose which activities they would like to do in any order they wish. Activities can also be returned to in order to try again! Guests also have a ton of personalization options available so they can represent their favorite team during their experience.

The Experiences

As previously mentioned the NBA Experience houses thirteen different activities. Each activity is unique and none should be missed!

Dribble! Perfect your dribbling skills with an interactive coach who will lead you on a variety of routines
Dunk! Get that picture perfect slam dunk with adjustable baskets and a camera ready to capture the moment
Slingshot: As the name suggests you’ll use a giant slingshot to shoot balls into baskets of different heights making as many baskets as you can before the clock runs out
Shoot! Have your chance in the spotlight with a roaring crowd as you make last-second shots
Combine: Compare your leaping skills with those of the NBA and WNBA that mimics Combine drills
Draft: A fun photo opportunity that mimics the acceptance of a basketball players draft acceptance
Replay: A chance to make your own call after watching replay clips of real games
Players: A mimic locker room where you can explore team rosters, scores, and highlights
Champions: An opportunity to take photos with replica NBA Championship and MVP trophies
“Game Time” A film about a young woman and her father and the impact a game has on them
“Together” A film about an NBA superstar both on and off the court
Arcade: A variety of fun games like the popular Pop-A-Shot and current NBA video games
Trivia: Test your knowledge on both the NBA and WNBA during this multiplayer experience

Out of what we tried, Slingshot was certainly the most unique! It was a lot of fun to use a giant slingshot to aim the balls at the various hoops. We may not have made any baskets but we had fun trying!

We also loved that there was a wide variety of activities. If someone isn’t as athletic in the family there are still plenty of opportunities for them to get in on the fun!

Merchandise

As with many Disney attractions, the NBA experience does exit into its own merchandise store. We have previously covered this here. It’s important to know that guests can visit the merchandise store without a ticket to the NBA experience. So if you need to do some shopping for a basketball fan, this shop makes it incredibly easy to do so!

Final Takeaway

The NBA Experience is a really detailed and unique new experience! Whether you are a basketball fan or not, there really is something for everyone to try. Between the games, photos, and other activities we were entertained during our visit here. Plus the indoor venue has a huge benefit in the unpredictable Florida weather. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the NBA Experience Grand Opening!

Ghosts and ghouls of every age we’ve got a treat to share today! The eagerly anticipated Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise has finally made its debut!! It’s no trick, there are a LOT of sweet Halloween treats this year, including a Spirit Jersey, and Loungefly backpacks! The collection is available at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and online at shopDisney!

There are two new Halloween Loungefly backpacks! The Pumpkin Mickey backpack is enchanting, and is detailed with embroidery.

Mickey’s ears are three dimensional, and the whole backpack has a very sleek silhouette to it.

This backpack will pair fabulously with the Pumpkin Mickey baseball cap that has made a return this year.

Universal Orlando Resort Reveals The All-new Scare Zones Invading The Streets Of Halloween Horror Nights 2019

Bloodthirsty zombies, otherworldly beings, chainsaw-wielding slashers and more will take over the streets of Universal Studios Florida in all-new scare zones at Halloween Horror Nights 2019 – the world’s premier Halloween event.

Guests will navigate five scare zones filled with menacing scare-actors that will stalk their every move: they’ll become prey to zombies as they enter the world of Zombieland, based-on Sony Pictures’ 2009 cult classic hit and its upcoming sequel out on October 18; try to escape horrifying creatures inspired by the popular music of horror icon Rob Zombie; and find themselves in three original nightmares created by the twisted minds of Universal Orlando’s Entertainment team – Anarch-cade, Vanity Ball and Vikings Undead.

Zombieland: Double Tap: As guests enter the streets of New York, they’ll be thrown into the world of Zombieland where they must escape bloodthirsty zombies or become a midnight snack.
Rob Zombie Hellbilly Deluxe: Inspired by the heavy metal horror music of Rob Zombie, guests will be surrounded by otherworldly beings, brutal maniacs and menacing machines all while they scream along to Zombie’s haunting lyrics on the streets of San Francisco.
Anarch-cade: On Avenue of the Stars, guests will enter a sinister 80s-inspired arcade where they only get one life. Their fear will level up as they try to flee a band of neon slashers, highlighted in black lights, with chainsaws.
Vikings Undead: Brutal, horn-helmeted warriors will rise from the grave and seize Central Park. Guests will become victims of these skeletal fighters and draugr, reanimated corpses who have channeled their vindictive rage into an endless onslaught of gore.
Vanity Ball: On the streets of Hollywood, guests will quickly discover beauty is pain as they watch artists turn willing participants into horrific living works of art.

Halloween Horror Nights 2019 will also feature 10 elaborately-themed haunted houses based on everything from the biggest names in horror and cinematic greats to crazed cult favorites and original abominations. And when they need a break from the screams, guests can enjoy live entertainment, including the new Academy of Villains: Altered States, featuring a killer mix of dance and theatrics in the Fear Factor Live venue, and a brand-new show that will debut for the first time ever at Halloween Horror Nights. Rap on a table, it’s time to respond the spirits have sent us a message from somewhere beyond… The spirits have conjured the Madame Leota Minnie Ears designed by Kim Irvine of Walt Disney Imagineering on shopDisney, and at Walt Disney World!

Sweet Leota is beloved by all in Regions Beyond, and now we can show our love for her with these gorgeous Disney Parks Designer Collection Minnie Mouse Ears! These ears were designed by Disney Imagineer Kim Irvine to honor 50 years of happy haunts. First launched at Disneyland on August 9th, they are now available at Walt Disney World, and shopDisney for all the ghouls and ghosts looking to celebrate.

These ears also have an incredible amount of detail! A simulated leather Raven ”bow” with embroidered and gem detailing sits atop the band, with a stunning Madame Leota cameo. The plush padded ears are embroidered with a metallic harp and horn, just like the instruments we see floating in her room. The flexible band of the ears has a non-slip velour lining that is embroidered with ”50 Years of Happy Haunts” in a deeper blue.

Even the back of the ears have details, so you can wear them on either side! The raven embroidery is double sided, and the soft backing of the ears is printed with the ghosts we see streaming out of the great beyond!

Festival of Fantasy Parade Starts at 2 pm from August 16th

Do not forget that the Festival of Fantasy Parade starts at 2 pm daily at the Magic Kingdom starting Friday 16th August!

Through the event season, the parade will begin at 2 pm staring your favourite characters on magical floats- an event surely not to be missed! The parade will then return to its 3 p.m. time slot starting from January 2020 (the exact date to be confirmed).
