The Rise of Skywalker Reported to be the Longest Star Wars Film Yet

The Rise of Skywalker Reported to be the Longest Star Wars Film Yet. As the conclusion to the Skywalker Saga approaches every detail we can muster is cause for excitement until the films release this December 20th. One such detail is the films run time which was revealed this week on Reddit via StarWarsLeaks.

Showtimes for The Rise Of Skywalker are showing up now.
by inStarWarsLeaks

According to the theater showing schedule Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will have a run time of 155 mins, or 2 hours and 35 mins, making it the longest Star Wars film to date.

It’s no wonder the film will require a longer run time than previous Star Wars films, given that Episode 9 will conclude the Skywalker Saga. The Skywalker Saga is compiled of Star Wars films Episodes 1-9. Other Star Wars films such as Rogue One and Solo are labeled specifically as “A Star Wars Story” and take place adjacent to the films in the Skywalker Saga.

The premise of the film is daunting and leaves fans wonder “How will this epic adventure end?”

“A year after the events of The Last Jedi, the remnants of the Resistance face the First Order once again—all while reckoning with the past and their own inner turmoil. Meanwhile, the ancient conflict between the Jedi and the Sith reaches its climax, altogether bringing the Skywalker Saga to an end.”

Deadpool 3‘ Writers Are Prepared For Deadpool’s MCU Crossover. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are sign on and ready to go to pen the script for the currently untitled Deadpool 3. The two are raring to go, but with the acquisition of Fox by Disney, a few roadblocks has delayed the films production.

One of the burning questions from the merger was “Would Disney and Marvel even allow another Ryan Reynolds led Deadpool film to be released, and if so, would the film be allowed to produce rated-R content under the Disney umbrella?” Luckily for DP fans, the answer was yes and YES. Despite now being under Disney’s creative control, DP3 will have R-rated content and may even showcase Deadpool’s arrival into the MCU with an epic cross over.

“[In regards to Deadpool 3] We’re in touch with Ryan,” Paul Wernick said. “We’ve got several projects with him. Moving forward, we’ve got 6 Underground on Netflix coming out in December with Ryan. Then, we’re rewriting Clue for him right now, which will hopefully shoot in the spring. We’ve got a few other things brewing with him, not including Deadpool, which will hopefully could come to the surface real soon.” Wernick continues, “Ryan’s our muse. We would do everything with Ryan, every single project, if we could,” Wernick says. “We just love him so much. He’s a brilliant actor and a dear friend. Yeah. When that text comes, we will open final draft and start with the title page of Deadpool 3.”

Co-Writer Rhett Reese was asked about the chances of Deadpool entering the MCU in his third film and Reese is more than excited at the possibility. “We definitely, we want to play in the sandbox,” Reese said. “One of the great things about the MCU is how rich and broad it is. For instance, just think about the world of villains, how great the world of villains are. We’re never able to use a lot of those villains because they were on the MCU. Well, now we can. So, right away, we’re definitely excited about getting the shot to do that. I think Ryan is too. I think the MCU people are too, just the idea of throwing Deadpool into the mix is exciting to them.”

“I would not at all be shocked to see a really fun crossover that we’re taking advantage of of all the tools at our disposal and all the rich characters at our disposal,” Reese says.

Wether the “Merc with a Mouth” joins the MCU in Deadpool 3 or in another Marvel Film Crossover, such as the untitled  Spider-Man 3, we can’t wait to see the shenanigans that are in store. Which film would you like to see Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool join the MCU? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Hipster Mickey Designer Ears by Jerrod Maruyama Have Arrived at Disney Parks

Maruyama Hipster Mickey Ears

Have you ever seen a hipster at Walt Disney World? Well, you’re about to see a lot of them, because a new pair of designer Mickey ears have dropped and they’re an exact depiction of a hipster Mickey Mouse!

Hipster Mickey Designer Ears by Jerrod Maruyama Have Arrived at Disney Parks

Jerrod Maruyama is the mastermind behind these millennial wonders, you may remember him if you’ve ever shopped for artwork in Disney Springs or Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney District. His illustrations have a markedly modern, almost emoji, look to them and range from Disney characters to our favorite theme park attractions, as well as non-Disney illustrations. One, in particular, will catch your eye from now on, because hipster Mickey was designed long before Maruyama was asked to come up with ears! The piece is entitled ”Happiest Hipster on Earth” and is just about the cutest little nonconformist we’ve ever seen.

The cap design allows for Mickey’s eyes to sit on top of the wearer’s head, along with his nose, thick-rimmed glasses, floppy beanie, and of course the mouse ears themselves! To make the ensemble really stick, we suggest pairing the hat with some headphones around your neck, skinny jeans, and definitely a cup of fair-trade coffee in a reusable cup.

Hipster Mickey Designer Ears by Jerrod Maruyama Have Arrived at Disney Parks

The ears are priced at $58 and are part of a wave of new designer ears popping up on both coasts. Other designers have included Heidi Klum and Betsey Johnson among others, with many who have yet to release their designs. We are certainly excited about all of these new ears popping up. Which have been your favorites so far?

Prost! New Oktoberfest Merchandise Appears in Epcot

Epcot Germany Pretzel Purse

It’s Oktoberfest, and that means plenty of us with German roots are eating more spaetzle (some are drinking more beer) than we usually do! At Walt Disney World, we find ways to celebrate that heritage and culture at Epcot. The German pavilion has restaurants and shops with unique foods and merchandise that hard for anyone to resist. Recently, we noticed some new Oktoberfest merchandise that is bringing us lots of ”glück,” otherwise known as happiness!

Prost! New Oktoberfest Merchandise Appears in Epcot

You can find Mickey pretzels at any Disney Park, but if you’re looking for an authentic “bretzel” with a crunch, Epcot’s German pavilion is your best bet. Now, this pretzel can be taken home and used for years to come because it’s been made into a purse! Cute little Mickey ears on top keep that Disney feel while a Bavarian/alpine hat reminds us that this is a special bag for Oktoberfest. In fact, the back of the purse even says so in big bold letters!

Prost! New Oktoberfest Merchandise Appears in Epcot

If you want a whole ensemble, there’s a dirndl (traditional German dress) that pays homage to Minnie’s infamous polka dots. It comes complete with a bow at the top and a black apron around the waist. Too cute not to pair with that bag!

For those who want a nod rather than the entire outfit, the new alpine hat may be the way to go. It’s green, with a band of German flag running around the outside, not to mention there’s a pretzel with a big feather sticking out of the top! Other, simpler souvenirs are also available for purchase at the shops. These include baseball caps, mugs, and beer steins. There’s something for everyone visiting Epcot this Oktoberfest!

Bride and Groom Churros are a Chillingly Tempting Snack near Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion

Bride and Groom Churros

The Haunted Mansion’s 50th Anniversary celebration continues at Disneyland and it’s eerily delicious. We’re talking about the Bride and Groom Churros spotted at the Churro Car in New Orleans Square!

Bride and Groom Churros are a Chillingly Tempting Snack near Disneyland's Haunted Mansion

Fans of the ride will certainly remember Constance Hatchaway, the black widow bride who carries an ax for any man unfortunate enough to marry her. She can be seen throughout the Haunted Mansion ride, still wearing her wedding gown and probably keeping an eye out for her newest fatality – oops, I mean fiancé. At least in churro form, the Haunted Mansion can have a happier ending. In your tummy, that is.

The Bride Churro is all in white, just like the beautiful specter herself. The churro itself is traditional in shape and taste, but dusted in vanilla sugar for a distinct and classic flavor. The Groom Churro is markedly different in both look and flavor. It’s starts with the same traditional churro, but is covered in dark and milk chocolate powder.

Bride and Groom Churros are a Chillingly Tempting Snack near Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Bride and Groom Churros are a Chillingly Tempting Snack near Disneyland's Haunted Mansion

These two are sold separately, but make such a lovely pair of contrasting flavors that you may need to try them both. They cost $5.75 each, tax included, and will only be available for a limited time. Of all the Disney treats that have popped up for the Haunted Mansion’s 50th Anniversary, few are as iconic for Disney as these. So ”Hurry baaaack” to get some for yourself and let us know which is your favorite!

New York City Man Sues Universal Over “Unlimited Drink” Offer

New York City Man Sues Universal Over "Unlimited Drink" Offer

New York City Man Sues Universal Over “Unlimited Drink” Offer. The New York Post shared this story after an outraged guest decided to sue NBC Universal over misleading advertisement in their theme parks.

According to NYP, “Luis Arnaud is bubbling with anger over the “false advertising” — saying he learned while trying to “quench his thirst” that the refills were in fact “limited” to a measly “total of only six per hour,” according to the class-action lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court Thursday.”

Arnaud states in the claim that he visited Universal’s Island of Adventure in Orlando, Fla. at Universal Orlando Resort, on July 30 and bought the 16-ounce “Coca-Cola Freestyle” cup for $16.99. The Freestyle cups purportedly come with “unlimited” refills all day, but in reality, the cups have a 10-minute time limit before refills can be distributed.

Said time limit is monitored with a chip located inside the bottom of the mug. When the cup is placed under the soda spout the base reads the chip and distributes refills after the allotted time frame, or rejects the refill if the cup is not active or has been refilled less than 10 minutes prior. NYP shared, “[Luis] Arnaud learned they were also tracking how often users top up, and are “programmed” to limit refills to every 10 minutes. When he tried to “quench his thirst and refill his cup again” before that period was up, the machine flashed a message rejecting his request, the suit says. Hi. You are not quite ready to fill up,” it proclaimed — along with the number of minutes he had to wait — according to photos of the failed attempt in his suit.”

According to the suit, ads for the “freestyle” deal at Universal Orlando Resort, promotes “unlimited” refills with “100+ drink choices”, but does not directly mention the refill limits.

“The move is a “deceptive” and “unconscionable trade and business practice,” the suit charges. He [Arnaud] would not have been willing to pay the sum he paid had he known that the Products did not provide unlimited refills and were mislabeled and falsely advertised,” the suit reads.”

“Defendant delivered Products with significantly less value than was affirmed by their representations, thereby depriving him of the benefit of his bargain and injuring him in an amount up to the purchase price.”

The suit states that Luis Arnaud is seeking unspecified damages. NBC Universal has not responded to requests for comments on the suit.
