New Kohl’s Disney Collection Just In time For The Holidays

Just in time for the holidays, Kohl’s has a very magical gift in store, a new Disney collection! The new Kohl’s Disney collection features our leading Mouse and Lady, Mickey and minnie. This is a collection for adults, featuring apparel, and accessories, including mini backpacks!

There are so many adorable things too! They have a selection of cozy slippers for men and women, which are perfect for the chillier winter days. My favorite selection that they have introduced however, is the bags! They have all kinds of adorable Disney bags, including the very popular mini backpacks! We also spotted a Minnie Mouse shaped crossbody, that was just too cute.

In addition to the backpacks and crossbody, there was also a fun assortment of wallets, and cosmetics bags too. These accessories have all been inspired by some of the hottest Disney trends, but at a more affordable price.

A must have on my nightstand has always been a trinket dish. For a long time I had trouble finding Disney inspired ones too. However, Kohl’s has a really great selection of them right now! We found a Mickey glove, a Mickey icon, a Minnie Bow, and a heart shaped dish featuring a kissing Mickey and Minnie.

Star Wars and Frozen Celebrations Coming to Disneyland Paris!

In a few weeks, the New Year will be upon us and guests at Disneyland Paris can celebrate the new year with two unmissable celebrations: Frozen Celebration and Legends of the Force – A Celebration of Star Wars starting on the 11th January 2020!

Star Wars Celebrations at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is once again celebrating the amazing galaxy of Star Wars as Legends of the Force returns to Walt Disney Studios Park from the 11th January to the 15th March 2020! The out-of-this-world experience is perfect for Star Wars fans of any age to immerse themselves in “a galaxy far, far away”. This celebration is perfect after the release of the final chapter of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” and to honour this, watch out for a new sequence from the film added to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

“Legends of a Galaxy Far, Far Away” at Disneyland Paris

Star Wars celebration contains two heart-pumping, thrilling shows – “Legends of a Galaxy Far, Far Away” taking guests on a journey through the biggest moments of the Star Wars saga, and “Star Wars: A Galactic Celebration” paying homage to all things Star Wars. This nighttime spectacular is full of projections, special effects, heroes and villains from the saga. There will also be an opportunity to meet your favorite heroes (and villains) including Rey, Chewbacca and Kylo Ren, as well as “The March of the First Order” with Captain Phasma and First Order Stormtroopers.

Frozen Celebrations at Disneyland Paris

“Frozen: A Musical Invitation” at Disneyland Paris

“For the first time in forever,” a Frozen Celebration is coming to Disneyland Paris on the 11th January to 3rd May. Allowing guests to guests to celebrate the global phenomenon like never before. Frozen Celebration starts with “Frozen: A Musical Invitation” which is a new show, recently opened at Animation Celebration in Walt Disney Studios Park. For the parade, fans will be amazed by the brand-new float inspired by “Frozen 2.” Boasting to be the tallest float at Disneyland Paris, featuring the silhouette of the mysterious Nokk, as well as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven and the float will be surrounded by dazzling dancers and accompanied by the new music from the film.

Disney Illuminations show at Disneyland Paris

What a perfect way to end the evening than watching the amazing Disney Illuminations show, featuring your favourite Frozen characters! Likewise, on select nights – January 24, 27 and 29 – guests can catch “Magic Over Lake Disney: The Frozen Edition” and relive amazing, iconic scenes from both films.

New Epcot Restaurant, Space 220, Will Serve Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

A brand new restaurant is opening in Epcot early 2020! The new guide map for the park shows the restaurant – Space 220 – will be located in Epcot‘s Future World East between Mission: SPACE and Test Track. The map also shows that the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Originally it was announced that this restaurant would open in “winter 2019” but it has been delayed to “early 2020” which technically could still be winter depending on how early in the year it opens. Stay tuned for more information like menu offerings, opening date, and when advanced dining reservations can be made! Are you looking forward to this new space-themed restaurant?

Disney Decks the Halls With Gingerbread Displays at the Parks and Resorts

It’s the holiday season and once again the Disney pastry chefs have outdone themselves! They have created amazing gingerbread displays at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort, Aulani, and onboard each of the Disney Cruise Line ships. If you want to check out these dazzling displays or purchase some holiday sweets and treats, we’ve got all the info you need. You can also find some exclusive merchandise, including limited edition pins, ornaments, mugs, headbands and more themed to each of the displays.

Aulani – A Disney Resort & Spa

Hawaii is mostly sunny and warm but that doesn’t mean they can’t dream of snow! Especially with Aulani’s “Frozen 2” gingerbread display featuring a giant white chocolate tree adorned with sugar snowflake ornaments and a Hawaiian Olaf tree topper. There will also be two macaron tower trees decorated with over 400 glittered macarons. The entire display is decorated with more than a dozen snow babies getting into a snowball fight with Santa Stitch among a forest of sugar ice trees.

Disney Cruise Line Gingerbread Displays

Each year the Disney Cruise Line onboard pastry teams have an annual holiday gingerbread competition. The teams build unique displays in the atriums of each ship. This year, each of the four displays features over 600 pounds of gingerbread dough, over 5,000 gingerbread bricks, and over 200 pounds of sugar! They take weeks to construct and move onto the ships, and each brick is individually aligned and placed with icing. You can see them throughout the holiday season on the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Magic, and Disney Wonder ships.

Disneyland Park – Haunted Mansion Holiday Gingerbread House

Each year Jack Skellington takes over the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park transforming it into Haunted Mansion Holiday. The Walt Disney Imagineering and Disneyland pastry teams also team up every year to create a spooky gingerbread display in the Grand Hall of The Haunted Mansion. This year marks a special occasion as the Haunted Mansion celebrates its 50th anniversary so the gingerbread display celebrates that as well! The display stands almost ten feet tall and features 15 different gingerbread cookies depicting the various residents of the mansion.

Disneyland Resort – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Gingerbread Display

This amazing gingerbread house is a replica of the hotel it resides in. Built by a team of talented Disney artists, engineers, and bakers it stands over seven feet tall and is decorated with over 600 pounds of gingerbread! You will even find a few hidden Mickeys sprinkled throughout the display. You can see this gingerbread house in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa through the end of the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort.

In addition, you can enjoy A Grand Gingerbread House Experience, a hands-on workshop that’s great holiday fun for the whole family! Meet the Disney pastry chefs who crafted the iconic gingerbread house and create one for your party or family. This experience occurs from 3:00-4:30pm on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 11, 15, 18, 21, and 22. Walt Disney World Resort – Disney’s Contemporary Resort Gingerbread Castle

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is celebrating its 10th year of having a gingerbread display. This year, Cinderella and Prince Charming greet guests as they come to visit the fanciful gingerbread castle set on an “it’s a small world” backdrop. This 18-foot tall display is located on the 4th-floor concourse of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The castle is crafted from thousands of gingerbread blocks, rolled fondant, and modeling chocolate and features a rolled fondant Fairy Godmother and a display box featuring Cinderella’s glass slipper.

The display will be up through January 5, 2020. There are nine hidden Mickeys and ten images highlighting “it’s a small world” and “Frozen 2”. As a tribute to Mary Blair, you might even see the famous five-legged goat! And available for purchase at the Gingerbread Hut nearby are holiday sweets such as:

This display features the United States Capitol Building, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and a seven-foot gingerbread Washington Monument topped with golden Mickey ears. Made with over 50 pounds of gingerbread, 20 pounds of icing, and containing six hidden Mickeys, this display will be up starting Nov. 29.

Do You Want To Eat A Snowman Donut?

You will have a holly jolly time if you indulge in this new Snowman donut, that has made it’s way to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The Grand Floridian spruces up each holiday season with an incredible life-size gingerbread house. Disney’s team of pastry chefs used 600 lbs of sugar, and 800 lbs of chocolate in their creation this year. That is one sweet creation to make anyone have a sweet tooth! Luckily there are some great treats available including this new Snowman Donut.

At the Gingerbread Snack Shop, you can order this frosty treat. It is a pumpkin, chocolate chip cake donut. It has a glazed coating with a covering of freshly fallen powdered sugar, and a touch of blue sugar sprinkles. The face is composed of chocolate chip eyes and mouth; even better than coal, and a big carrot-colored buttercream nose.

It costs $4.26 after tax. It has a wonderful flavor balance consisting of the spice of the pumpkin and the complimentary chocolate chips, which were plenty. The glaze and buttercream make it oh so sweet. This donut is so moist!

This is not a treat to miss, it is delicious! There are some other tasty new options to satisfy your sugar craving after viewing the massive gingerbread house, including a cake pop worthy of Instagram! There are also vegan and gluten options this year. But I would put this frosty treat on your must-eat list this holiday season!

New Winemaker Dinner Series Coming to the Disneyland Hotel

The Disneyland Hotel is welcoming a new dining experience at Steakhouse 55. The Winemaker Dinner Series is making a delicious debut to the Disneyland Resort in the new year!

Steakhouse 55 is the Disneyland Hotel’s premium steakhouse with an old Hollywood ambiance. Their expertly prepared steaks pair well with a sommelier’s recommended wine. In January, Steakhouse 55 will be introducing a new exclusive fine dining experience.

The new Winemaker Dinner Series features a five-course menu prepared by expert, Chef Marcel St. Pierre. The menu will be paired with wine selections by different visiting vintners throughout the year. The vintner will then explain what makes each wine pair perfectly with each individual course. The first event of the series will take place on January 15, 2020. This initial event will feature Wente Vineyards. This family-owned and operated Wente winery was founded in 1883 and now has estate vineyards in Livermore Valley and Arroyo Seco, Monterey.

SAKS and DISNEY Celebrate the Season with Disney’s “FROZEN 2” and a Very Special Unveiling Performance by Idina Menzel

On Monday, November 25, the enchanting world of Disney’s “Frozen 2,” which is now playing in theatres nationwide, came to life at Saks Fifth Avenue with the debut of its iconic holiday windows in collaboration with Disney.

The dazzling holiday windows were unveiled with a special musical performance by Idina Menzel, who is the voice of Elsa and also this year’s Saks Holiday Book cover star. Saks’s center six windows on Fifth Avenue each depicted Elsa’s extraordinary journey to discovering her own power as she navigates her way through the four spirits of nature- wind, fire, water and earth. Adored characters, Olaf, Kristoff and Anna also appeared throughout the vignettes as they championed Elsa along the way.

The production also included a theatrical light show on the façade of the Saks Fifth Avenue NYC flagship and entertainment from the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, dancers and characters from “Frozen 2.”

Guests included Tony Award winner and star of Disney’s “Frozen” and “Frozen 2” Idina Menzel, Chanel Iman, Carolyn Murphy, Coco Rocha, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Dorinda Medley, Stacey Bendet, Casey Fremont, Fernando Garcia, Marjorie Gubelmann, Rosie Assoulin, Jason Wu, Laura Kim, along with Saks President Marc Metrick, Saks Chief Merchant Tracy Margolies, Saks Fashion Director Roopal Patel, Saks SVP Marketing & Digital, Emily Essner, Disney President of Consumer Products, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Ken Potrock.

In addition to offering exclusive holiday products inspired by the film, Saks will also host an immersive activation on the 9^th Floor of its flagship store, Disney’s Frozen 2 Enchanted Forest Experience at Saks where visitors will be transported to the magical world of “Frozen 2” and experience Elsa’s journey through the enchanted forest, encountering the four spirits of nature and other beloved characters along the way. The activation will run from Tuesday, November 26 through Tuesday, December 24. Saks will donate $5 from the sale of each ticket to New York-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children’s Hospital. Information on how to attend the experience can be found here.

The window animation and light show will continue throughout the holiday season until January 2, 2020.

New Disneyland After Dark Events Announced for 2020!

Disneyland After Dark is a specially themed, after-hours park experience featuring unique entertainment, special food, one-of-a-kind photo opportunities, collectible merchandise, and more!! These events require a separate ticket and grand you special access to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure park after closing. D23 Brings New Magic To Disney Fans Around The Country With A Fantastic Slate Of Events In 2020!

In 2020, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is bringing back many of its most popular events, adding incredible new experiences, and putting new twists on fan favorites.

D23 DESTINATION D: FANTASTIC WORLDS: Returning to Walt Disney World Resort next November 20–22, Destination D will honor Disney’s many magical places, from the extraordinary to the fantastical. In addition, the Walt Disney Archives, which turns 50 next year, is creating an all-new exhibit that will include 50 iconic treasures, representing the 50 years of the Archives. And Walt Disney Imagineering’s store, Mickey’s of Glendale, will once again open a pop-up shop featuring exclusive items, just for the weekend. Additional details, including special hotel rates and ticketing information, will be announced in late spring.

D23 CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF THE WALT DISNEY ARCHIVES: In addition to the new exhibit coming to Destination D, D23 Members will be invited to a special Grand Opening Preview of Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, Calif., on Saturday, March 4, 2020. Plus, on June 22, the actual anniversary of the founding of the Archives, D23 will hold a special “birthday party” at the Bowers Museum. And next year, D23 will offer two exclusive D23 Behind-the-Scenes Experiences: A Day at the Studio Lot, for an exciting look behind the incredible work that goes on every day at the Walt Disney Archives.

WALT’S MARCELINE: Walt frequently cited this charming Missouri town, where he spent his early childhood, as one of his greatest influences. In fact, its lovely main thoroughfare was an inspiration for Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A. D23 Members will have a chance to explore the Walt Disney Hometown Museum, enjoy local treats, and mingle with special guests during this full-day event.

SCREENINGS ON THE WALT DISNEY STUDIOS LOT, AT WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT, AND ON THE ROAD: For years, D23 Members have enjoyed private screenings of beloved classics on The Walt Disney Studios lot and at Disney Springs with special guests and exclusive gifts. This year, for the first time ever, D23 is taking the show—and the movies—on the road, bringing the joy of Disney films to members in select cities around the country. Next year, D23 will more than double the number of its Magical Screenings, celebrating the milestone anniversaries of such films as The Three Caballeros, A Goofy Movie, Pocahontas, The Emperor’s New Groove, and The Aristocats.

THE OFFICIAL WALT DISNEY STUDIOS TOUR—PRESENTED BY D23: In 2019, for the first time ever, D23 hosted monthly Gold Member-exclusive tours of the historic Studio lot. In 2020, due to overwhelming demand, we are adding additional tours, offering them more often so more guests can take a look inside the Walt Disney Archives and see Walt Disney’s office suite. These tours offer fans a unique perspective on historic moments from Disney films, television shows, and theme parks.

ADVANCE SCREENINGS OF NEW FILMS: In 2020, D23 Members will once again enjoy exclusive, advance screenings across the country in partnership with our friends from The Walt Disney Studios. This year, D23 brought movie magic—including Toy Story 4 and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil—to more than 35 cities across the country, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New York City, Phoenix, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Toronto. D23 Members also attended the red-carpet premiere of Disney’s Aladdin.

SIGNATURE EVENTS: D23 will invite guests to enjoy Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival this spring, as well as foodie favorite Sip & Stroll during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival next fall. Walt Disney Imagineering’s exclusive merchandise store, Mickey’s of Glendale, will once again open its doors to members for shopping days. And seasonal favorites will return, including a new Halloween event and the holiday favorite Light Up the Season with D23 at The Walt Disney Studios, as well as a special event next December at Walt Disney World Resort. Members will also be able to attend special events at The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco and D23 will continue to offer unique experiences across the country, giving members the opportunity to meet our Disney Legends and luminaries.

MEMBER MEET-UPS: In 2020, D23 will bring its popular Member Mixers and meet-ups to cities across the United States including Anaheim, New York City, San Diego, and Seattle, as well as to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.
