New Sven-Inspired Frappuccino on Starbucks Secret Menu

Sven Frappuccino

Reindeers are better than people, and now there’s a drink to seal the deal! The recent trend of creating Starbucks drinks based off of beloved Disney characters has picked up a new favorite: “Frozen”’s one and only Sven. The drink was recently created by Redhead Baby Mama, otherwise known as Atlanta-based blogger Lindsey Paris, and according to the creator herself, the drink is supposed to mimic a Turtle or Moose Tracks type flavor. Maybe, in this case, we should call them Reindeer Tracks?

New Sven-Inspired Frappuccino on Starbucks Secret Menu

Although this drink isn’t on the official menu, we have the details so that you too can create this marvelous beverage. It actually has a big advantage on other Starbucks Secret Menu items in that it’s easy to order. Start with a Caramel Brûlée Frappuccino, any size, and have the barista add Java Chips. Whipped cream and Caramel Bits come standard on this particular Frappuccino, so you don’t need to request them, but you will want to make sure you ask for a light Mocha Drizzle on top for an added kick of chocolate.

New Sven-Inspired Frappuccino on Starbucks Secret Menu

Not being a big fan of anything turtle, I was pleasantly surprised by how subtly the caramel flavor came through in this drink. Chocolate really dominates and my overall impression leaned heavier towards the Moose Tracks interpretation of the Frappuccino. Be aware though: this is a sweet drink!

A tall version of the beverage comes out to $6.98 post-tax and can be ordered at your local Starbucks, as long as you know the ingredients! And if you’re like me, you’ll make it even easier on yourself by skipping the line and ordering straight from the mobile app so as to be sure and get exactly what you order. Because trust me, you’ll want to taste this one exactly how I described it! I know it sounds crazy, but somehow I know Sven would approve.

Celebrating Christmas at Disney Springs with these Treats & Trees

Celebrating Christmas at Disney Springs with these Treats & Trees

If you do anything this holiday season you have to at least visit Disney Springs at Walt Disney World where you will be celebrating Christmas at Disney Springs all throughout the outdoor market space!

There is always so much to see and do throughout Disney Springs on a regular day, but when you add Christmas into the mix you are transported into a winter wonderland.  However, our top place to visit is the Christmas Tree Trail!  The Disney Imagineers out-do themselves every year and just when we think they ran out of ideas, they add another tree design!

Christmas Tree Trail

This year, the Christmas Tree Trail features all-new trees to the line-up, starting with The Lion King!  As a nod to the animated, Broadway, and new live-action all in one, guests can pick out many iconic characters throughout the tree.  This tree is then topped with a tree topper that we need to go on our trees at home, Rafiki’s hands holding up baby Simba.  We are in love!

Celebrating Christmas at Disney Springs with these Treats & Trees

Also added this year to the trail is an Aladdin tree.  Just like all of the other trees, this tree also features many iconic characters found throughout the films.  Plus, this tree features its very own Magic Carpet!

Lastly, guests can take part in many activities featuring the new film, “Noelle” which debuted on Disney+.  Don’t panic if you can’t make it to the trail before Christmas, the trail will be open until January 5, 2020, allowing plenty of time to make to Disney where they are celebrating Christmas at Disney Springs.

Merchandise

Debuting at The Elforium, there is an all-new collection of Christmas Tree Trail merchandise which includes t-shirts, postcards, luggage tags, tumblers and more featuring the posters that can be found throughout the Christmas Tree Trail.   Plus, guests can stop by The Art of Disney and visit the Print on Demand kiosk where select poster designs are available to purchase as prints.

Guests can also bring a piece of the Christmas Tree Trail home to their own holiday decor!  Select ornaments featured on the trees can be purchased to bring home!  In addition, there’s also an impressive collection of ornaments available, including some that can be personalized.

Producer Jennifer Lee Shares If We Will See a ‘Frozen 3’ and Kristen Bell May Be the Key!

Producer Jennifer Lee Shares If We Will See a 'Frozen 3' and Kristen Bell May Be the Key!

Producer Jennifer Lee Shares If We Will See a ‘Frozen 3’ and Kristen Bell May Be the Key! Recently, Frozen franchise Co-Director and Writer, Jennifer Lee, spoke with HollywoodLife before the opening night of Frozen the Musical at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre on Dec. 6, to discuss her latest blockbuster hit, Frozen II, and the possibility of making a trilogy.

According to Lee, one of the films stars, Kristen Bell (Anna), was “instrumental” in the development of the story and music for Anna in the sequel, and is open to hearing her ideas for a third Frozen film.

“She is so talented. She was instrumental to Anna’s journey,” Jennifer told HL, “and I’m so proud that she joined us on saying, “Look, Anna’s … you look to her as the optimist [but] we all go through struggles. I have struggles every day, and I choose to be this way, and get up off the floor and never give up, and that was the journey that Anna should have.” And we agreed. So she’s been an incredible partner in it, so maybe she has a good idea [for Frozen 3].”

HL asked if Lee was ready to confirm a third film, and said for now she “feels done,” but to “ask again in a year”.

“As of now I feel done, but I’m also very tired, so ask me in a year,” Jennifer said. “The thing about Frozen 2 is it only came about because we said there is more story here. The girls have never been together. I want to see that. What is Elsa’s journey? Why does she have powers? Chris and I had so many questions, and the world was asking them, and we naively went, ‘Let’s do it!’  We had no idea what we were doing. We went into the unknown ourselves, and I’m glad we did, but it was so much harder to do 2 than it was to do 1.  I can only imagine what 3 would be, how much harder that would be.”

Producer Jennifer Lee Shares If We Will See a 'Frozen 3' and Kristen Bell May Be the Key!

“We’d never done a musical sequel before theatrically. There was no precedent. We wanted to do a story featuring the same characters, not just changing circumstances, growing them, changing them, changing characters people have come to know.” Lee continued, “All of those things we tackled we just said, ‘We must be crazy.’ But it felt right to us, but it was a four year journey and so I can only imagine if there were ever to come it would have to come with us feeling like it had to be told, because it is so hard to do. It takes everything you have, so right now we’ve got nothing in the tank. I’m looking to be filled up tonight with the performance.”

Would you like to see a ‘Frozen 3’? What ideas do you think Disney should explore IF they make a third film? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Disney!

Disney CEO Bob Iger named the 2019 TIME Businessperson of the Year

Disney CEO Bob Iger named the 2019 TIME Businessperson of the Year

Disney CEO Bob Iger named the 2019 TIME Businessperson of the Year. In 2019, Bob Iger oversaw the creative choices for The Walt Disney Company and began making choices that would see the company expand and grow far past his time as CEO. With rumors of retirement swirling for years, it seems Bob Iger doesn’t plan to get “senioritis” on his road to retirement.

Bob Iger has overseen some of the biggest changes in Disney through his career as CEO. With the total revamp of several Disney Parks, the creation of Disneyland Shanghai, and the acquisition of Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Pixar, and Fox, and many other big ticket items under his belt, there is no denying Bob Iger’s ability to make creative choices with a lasting impact for the future of the company.

It comes as no surprise that one of the riskiest moves has possibly become the crown jewel of Iger’s career, the creation of Disney+. For year Iger and developers worked to bring Disney Fans closer to the content they know and love, as well as opening the “Disney Vault” to share content that was previously rare and hard to find.

“I think the Disney+ launch has been amazing,” says Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, who, according to TIME, was on the company’s board from 2010 to 2018. “It’s a big risk, but Bob’s really good at understanding the landscape further out as well as executing a strategy. It’s rare to be able to do both.”

“This has been probably one of the most productive years we’ve had as a company in the 15 years that I’ve been in this job,” says Iger, “This time last year, we had not closed the deal for Fox,” he says, referring to the $71 billion acquisition of most of Rupert Murdoch’s entertainment assets. “We had not opened up two Star Wars Lands, we had not launched Disney+. We had not closed the deal for control of Hulu.” Not only were these items still up in the air, but Iger has also become a best-selling author, and is donating his seven-figure earnings from his book, The Ride of a Lifetimeto create journalism scholarships.

Bob is also known to take risks, and has reaped the reward for making the tough calls to allow creators to really dive into their work. “I expected Bob’s [advice] to be more conservative, but it was actually the opposite,” said Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. “He wanted us to be more aggressive and ambitious.” Iger encouraged him to build out the theme of transgenerational trauma as it relates to race. “He wasn’t afraid from a cultural standpoint or a business standpoint.”

The New Elf Dome Cake At Walt Disney World Is Adorably Festive

The New Elf Dome Cake At Walt Disney World Is Adorably Festive

The Walt Disney World Resort has been coming up with some amazing holiday treats this season. The latest one we got to try was the fun little elf. This festive dome cake looks like it came straight from the North Pole. We found this cute little treat at Disney’s Polynesian Resort at Kona Island.
The New Elf Dome Cake At Walt Disney World Is Adorably Festive
This Elf Dome Cake was actually really delicious. It’s made up of a vanilla cake and eggnog custard. Frosting made up the rest of this little elf snack. The eggnog flavor was really good. I was impressed that not every seasonal snack is peppermint. There seems to be a nice variety around the resorts.

The New Elf Dome Cake At Walt Disney World Is Adorably Festive

The Elf Dome Cake is $5.99 plus tax or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. It’s listed at the Polynesian’s Kona Island as a seasonal cupcake. They usually only make so many per day so make sure to get this one early.

This is definitely one of our picks for Christmas treats. We are loving all the different holiday snacks from the peppermint tree cupcake, giant holiday sugar cookie, and this eggnog flavored dome cake. Check back for even more holiday treats soon.
