During the Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort, guests can explore a tantalizing array of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese-inspired menus with the Sip and Savor Pass.

The Lunar New Year Sip and Savor Pass consists of a commemorative credential and 6 coupons, redeemable for food and beverage offerings (excluding alcohol) at the food marketplaces and some select dining locations. Each coupon may be redeemed for one (1) food or non-alcoholic beverage item. The marketplace kiosks where the pass can be used are:

Lucky 8 Lantern
Prosperity Bao & Buns
Red Dragon Spice Traders

The dining locations for Sip and Savor offerings are Lucky Fortune Cookery and Paradise Garden Grill. The offerings there are tasting-size portions only, not full entrées.

Each Sip and Savor Pass is $42, including tax. In addition to a reduced price, Annual Passholders will also receive a special Passholder lanyard. To receive the Passholder price and keepsake a valid Annual Passport and photo ID must be shown upon purchase.

The Sip and Savor Pass is available for sale at Lunar New Year Merchandise Carts, the Sip and Savor Cart, Seaside Souvenirs, Elias & Co., Kingswell Camera Shop and each Lunar New Year Marketplace.

First Harry Potter Flagship Store Coming To New York City!

New York is about to become extra magical!

Warner Brothers announced today that the first Harry Potter flagship store will open in NYC this summer 2020!! The store will have the biggest merchandise collection of the Harry Potter franchise ever, including some special edition items to be exclusive for this location.

The store will be 20,000 sq. and 3 floors tall and located right next to the famous Flatiron building on 935 Broadway.

“This will be the largest dedicated Harry Potter store in the world and will become a must visit fan destination where Harry Potter enthusiasts can engage with interactive experiences and numerous photo opportunities as they step into the magic” said Sarah Roots, SVP Worldwide Tours and Retail for Warner Bros.

It also looks like they are planing on opening a little coffee shop according to the concept art they released but there’s no confirmation about that yet. It would be great if they do so people could have another place to get a delicious Butterbeer!

“We are very exited to be opening in New York. It’s the ideal city in which to launch with so many dedicated Wizarding World fans, a cutting-edge retail environment and a community that embraces innovative experiences” mentioned Sarah.

We are sure this new store will be an instant success not only with Harry Potter fans but with most people visiting the big apple.

Marvel fans rejoice! Marvel Day at Sea will be returning to Disney Cruise Line in 2021! Once again, guests will have the chance to experience the largest assembly of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains on one ship. These select sailings out of Miami feature one heroic day filled with encounters with some of your favorite Marvel Super Heroes, action-packed entertainment and Marvel-themed activities designed for the whole family to enjoy.

2021 Itineraries: Marvel Day at Sea

New Background Music at Epcot’s World Showcase

If you visit Epcot these days, you’ll quickly notice how the theme park is undergoing a massive transformation. Disney Park has big changes in store for the future. Exciting new features such as “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” and an upcoming Mary Poppins based attraction are coming in the next few years. However, there are some changes to Epcot that have already arrived! These days guests are hearing new background music piped into the countries of World Showcase. The new music emphasizes recognizable Disney songs, which are thrilling fans to see more inclusion of Disney movies in Epcot.

For instance, the France Pavilion is now playing music from the soundtracks of Beauty and the Beast and The Aristocats. This added touch of magic is great to hear while you walk throughout the pavilion and think of Disney’s French-inspired characters. It’ll be more exciting once Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens later this year!

You can find more samples of new background music being added to Mexico and China pavilions. Songs from Pixar’s Coco can be heard in Mexico. You can also hear Mulan songs in the background of China as you explore that pavilion.

With so many classic Disney and Pixar characters, we’re sure more music will be added to the background World Showcase. See if you can hear anything new on your next visit to Epcot!

Chris Hemsworth Donates $1 Million Towards Relief Efforts Fighting Australian Bushfires. Australian native and actor, Chris Hemsworth, has pledged a $1 Million donation to relief efforts against the Australian bushfires that have devastated the country over the first week of the New Year. Hemsworth shared his efforts via his Instagram.

“I’m going to put forward a million dollars, and was hoping that all of you can contribute in any way shape or form,” Hemsworth said. “Every dollar counts. That money goes directly to the firefighters, the people on the frontlines, the people who have suffered, the communities that have taken a hit and who are in desperate need of our support.”

“The bushfires in Australia have caused massive devastation. They continue to burn, there’s warmer weather on its way,” he said. “We’re really still in the thick of it here. There’s plenty of challenging times ahead and still to come.”

Hemsworth also shared links to various organizations helping with relief efforts such as supporting the firefighters working tirelessly to stop the devastation and groups helping both the citizens of Australian and rescued wildlife who have been displaced and affected by the fires directly to offer necessary goods and medical attention, such as the Australian Red Cross and World Wildlife Fund.

Universal Orlando Resort just announced the concert headliners performing at the 25th annual Mardi Gras celebration – a family-friendly version of the iconic Big Easy bash that features a spectacular nightly parade, authentic Cajun-style cuisine and – on select nights – live concerts by a star-studded lineup of musical artists.

Universal’s Mardi Gras 2020 will run daily from Feb. 1 through April 2. Located on Walt Disney World Resort property, the seven Disney Springs Resort area hotels are ideally situated an easy walk to Disney Springs, which now features more than 150 retail, entertainment, and dining establishments. Ghirardelli has been making life a bite better since 1852!

But don’t worry, the location will remain open with just different parts of the store closing for the renovations, so you can still get your chocolate and ice cream fix!
