FastPass+ Tiers Changing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We got some really exciting news recently about Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run joining the FastPass+ lineup at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With that comes some other great news about the FastPass+ tiers at the park. There will now be only 2 attractions in the first tier and 12 in the second!

Tier 1 now includes Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Slinky Dog Dash. Guests will be able to pre-select only one of these attractions as a FastPass+ reservation in advance of their visit to the park.

Tier 2 will include Toy Story Mania!, Alien Swirling Saucers, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Disney Junior Dance Party!, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Muppet*Vision 3D, Fantasmic!, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.

Guests will be able to pre-select two of these attractions as a FastPass+ reservation in advance of their visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The boarding group system for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance works independently from the FastPass+ system, so that has not changed. This new FastPass+ Tier lineup goes into effect for FastPasses reserved starting February 19th.

Pixar Luxo Ball Minnie Ears Have Bounced Into Disney Parks

Something fun has into the Disney Parks! We can now show off our love for Pixar, with Luxo Ball Minnie Ears! The Luxo Ball has long been an iconic symbol of Pixar, and a very requested Minnie ear style too.

Recently we fell in love with the stunning new Pixar Spirit Jersey. Now we have the perfect matching accessory, new Minnie ears! With all the great Pixar accessories and apparel inspired by the Luxo Ball already available, these new ears are the perfect finishing touch! They have yellow, red, and blue sequined ears. They feature the iconic design of the Luxo Ball, complete with the blue stripe, and red star. I personally love that the design was done with sequins. I feel like the extra touch of sparkle will make them really stand out. Unlike the Minnie ears for Pixar Playtime, these will not feature a bow.

These ears also have another fun detail I have been loving on Minnie ears lately. This headband is actually embroidered, and with the Pixar lamp no less!

SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival Is Returning Soon

Calling all foodies! SeaWorld Orlando is bringing back their amazing Seven Seas Food Festival! This amazing festival is packed full of amazing drinks, food, and entertainment is starting on February 7th and runs until May 5th. Great news is this year the festival will even run Fridays.

SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival gives guests the opportunity to try delicious street food from around the world along with amazing craft beer and live entertainment. Marketplaces and food kiosks can be found throughout the park. There are some unique new food offerings coming as well, like the the cricket crusted bison slider, duck and mushroom ramen bowl, and the chicken and waffle. You can find a complete menu here.

Make sure you plan a weekend trip to catch some live entertainment from some household names. Saturday’s and Sunday’s at 6:00 PM at Bayside Stadium is the place to be. This year’s entertainment so far includes:

Super Nintendo World is Coming to Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe

The classic video game world of Nintendo is coming to Orlando! The corporate executives of Comcast, Universal’s parent company, held an earnings call today. One of the highlights was its news for Orlando since they gave an update on the plans for Universal’s Epic Universe. They revealed that Super Nintendo World is one of the themed lands coming to the new Universal park.

The company anticipates that the addition of Nintendo will draw in a new audience. In fact, Universal executives expressed their belief that Super Nintendo World will be as successful as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The popular video game company will be thrilling guest when Epic Universe opens in 2023.

The possibilities of this new land are endless when you take a look at their list of classic characters. Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, and The Legend of Zelda are just a few of the top licensed games of the Nintendo brand. It’s still a few years away from opening, but excitement is high. Many fans are hoping to see a Super Mario Kart attraction come to Orlando!

Star Wars Day at Sea Returns to Disney Cruise Line in 2021

The force is strong with Disney Cruise Line! Star Wars Day at Sea is returning to the high seas in 2021.

With more than a dozen of the galaxy’s most formidable and heroic characters onboard, guests can meet with the best of the Resistance including Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2; come face-to-face with Darth Vader; and be on watch as Stormtroopers, Bounty Hunters and Jawas roam the ship.

Force-sensitive children learn the ways of the Jedi and use their new-found skills in a face-off against Darth Vader and Kylo Ren in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. The whole family can celebrate the greatest moments from the Star Wars galaxy with the “Summon the Force” deck party, complete with a fireworks show of galactic proportions.

Costume celebrations, movie screenings, trivia sessions, the Star Wars Drawing Academy and a ship-wide Porg-themed adventure are more of the ways guests can feel the Force on Star Wars Day at Sea. Unique food and beverage and special merchandise are also available on these sailings in early 2021.

With cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, guests can celebrate their love of the Star Wars saga and enjoy tropical destinations, coupled with classic Disney magic and entertainment all week long onboard the Disney Fantasy. First Look at New M&M Store Coming to Disney Springs

Last month it was announced that an M&M store is coming to Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort. Today we’ve got a first look at the renderings of this delicious chocolatey retail location.

The new location is currently under development next to Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Disney Springs West Side and is scheduled to open later this year.

Watch a Disney on Broadway Concert Live From Epcot Jan. 25

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series returned to the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts this year – and guests are loving it!

One of those concerts will be presented live Saturday, January 25. That evening’s Disney on Broadway Concert Series concert will feature performances by Broadway stars Alton Fitzgerald White and Kissy Simmons (“The Lion King”), Heidi Blickenstaff (“The Little Mermaid”) and Gavin Lee (“Mary Poppins”).

The live stream will begin at 7:55 p.m. ET on the Disney Parks Blog.

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series in Epcot features three daily performances headlined by Broadway stars who reprise favorite songs from past performances in award-winning Disney shows.

All concerts are included with theme park admission. Upcoming performances include:

Jan. 26, 28, 29; Feb. 1, 2, 5 and 6 – Kara Lindsay (“Newsies”) and Kevin Massey (“Tarzan”)

This L.A. Mansion is Every Star Wars Fans Dream House. A $26.5 Million Mansion recently hit the market in Los Angeles, California, and it is every major Star Wars Fans dream house! Complete with full costumes, displays, cantina, and private theater, you ca easily immerse yourself in the Star Wars Universe while roaming these halls.

“A circular display case in the center of the basement contains about 30 mostly custom helmets for clone and stormtroopers, while the vehicle to the left is a custom replica of a speeder bike from “Return of the Jedi.””

“For the cantina scene, Greedo is depicted with a pistol in the far right corner; the other two figures are extras from the scene, a Bith musician from the cantina’s band on the left and Zutton, or “Snaggletooth,” on the right drinking a Corona beer. Custom copper piping and tubing make the space more industrial, while the glass geometric tiles on the front of the bar harken back to the style of the rest of the house.”

“The basement is entered through the elevator on the right. On the left, a figure of a Tusken Raider is brandishing a weapon known as a gaffi stick, while on the right is a figure of a Jawa, a scavenger of the desert. The wall mural depicting Tatooine was painted by an artist who specializes in Star Wars imagery.”

“To the rear of the theater, there is a tableau from “The Empire Strikes Back,” in which there is a second figure of a Han Solo frozen in carbonite. It also includes Chewbacca carrying an injured C-3PO and bounty hunter Boba Fett pointing a gun. The theater was designed in a blue and orange hue reminiscent of the scene, and the center light changes color at the touch of a button.”

“A replica of an X-Wing fighter; it is about a sixth of the size of the one in the movie. The figures to the left are bounty hunters from “Episode V” and, through the glass doors to the left, there is a depiction of Han Solo frozen in carbonite.”

“A snowtrooper stands guard at the bottom of a set of stairs leading to the home’s family room. As guests walk up the stairs, each step lights up one-by-one. To the right of the stairs is the “bad guy corner,” featuring a custom-made red imperial shock trooper from “Episode III.” In the display cases next to him are busts of Darth Vader and other collectibles of characters like Jabba the Hutt. There is also a custom Star Wars arcade game.”

“A lobby area off the lounge features a variety of figures. Clockwise, they include a mini Jawa with a Gonk Droid; comic book character Darth Talon; A light-saber toting Darth Maul, the villain from “Episode I;” a miniature Darth Vader and a battle droid. In the center of the lobby, clone trooper helmets are displayed in cases.”

This house is chock full of Star Wars collectibles, and I know I could spend hours gawking at all the decorations, costumes, and figurines. The 18,200-square-foot home also has a gym, music studio, and a safe room. The 3-acre grounds have an indoor-outdoor pool, a tennis court and — for more outer-space appeal — an observatory with a 14-inch reflector telescope. Would you want to live in a mansion like this? Disney and Marvel Studios Begin Production for ‘Captain Marvel 2’

Disney and Marvel Studios Begin Production for ‘Captain Marvel 2‘. Marvel Fans were ecstatic to hear Captain Marvel would be getting a sequel after the raging success of the film in 2019. The film was one of 7 films by The Walt Disney Company released in 2019 to reach over $1 Billion at the global box office. Initially, the news had been shared during San Diego Comic Con with our predictions still expecting to see a 2022 projected release date for the sequel.

Variety broke the news that production is officially in the works with an exclusive report from Disney and Marvel, saying the studio’s are currently looking to sign on WandaVision writer, Megan McDonnell, to pen the project. The Captain Marvel sequel will likely take place in Phase 5 of the MCU and will see the return of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel.

Likely, Captain Marvel 2 will join other sequels such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Black Panther 2 in Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is currently unknown if the character Monica Rambeau will make an appearance in the film, but she is highly likely to appear, especially since her now adult character is expected to appear in the Marvel and Disney+ series, WandaVision. Likely this is a contributing factor to Marvel and Disney wanting Megan McDonnell to pen the script for the film.
