Disney Begins Production on “Live-Action” ‘Bambi’

Disney Begins Production on "Live-Action" 'Bambi'

Disney Begins Production on “Live-Action” ‘Bambi‘. The rumors are true! Disney has assigned Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel, Tomb Raider) and Lindsey Beer (Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, Chaos Walking) with penning the script for Disney’s next “live-action’ remake of Bambi. Chris and Paul Weitz and Andrew Miano are set to produce the remake.

The Bambi remake will be similarly styled to The Jungle Book and The Lion King, incorporating real film with CGI characters. Many fans hesitate to call this sort of film style “live-action”, since the primary characters are still technically animated, just with CGI technology vs.traditional paint and ink. Disney has been met with both praise and criticism from fans for its decision to keep producing “live-action remakes” of the Disney Classics. But with films such as Aladdin (2019) and The Lion King (2019) both reaching over $1 billion in the global box office, it is unlikely Disney will stop the trend any time in the near future.

Disney Begins Production on "Live-Action" 'Bambi'

For Disney Fans who may not be familiar with the 1942 Disney Classic, here is a film synopsis of Bambi: “In this Disney classic a young deer named Bambi joins his new friends, a rabbit named Thumper and a skunk named Flower, in exploring his forest home. As a boy, he learns from his doting mother and his father, The Great Prince of the Forest, that there are dangers in the open meadows where hunters can spot the animals, and he meets a beautiful young doe named Faline. As Bambi grows up, he learns that there is tragedy as well as beauty and joy in his forest world and on the path to adulthood.”

Are you excited to see a live-action Bambi? What do you think of the live-action remakes? What other Disney Classics do you want to see return to the big screen? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for all things Disney!

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings Season 2 Is Coming To Disney+

The married co-host couple love Disney and have become a sort of park experts themselves.

“When it’s quiet in here you get to really appreciate what’s going on” mentioned tWitch. “You can kind of feel Walt walking around you.”

According to Allison, if you go to Pandora at Disney World and look at the rock formation of the floating mountains you can see Groot. Have you ever noticed this? We are definitely trying on our next Disney trip.

During this second season you will enjoy breathtaking celebrations like an underwater proposal, a musical flash mob and even a pretty epic night filled with music and fireworks right in front of Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom!

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings Season 2 Is Coming To Disney+

But not everything is Disney World or Disneyland, during this season Disney Fairy Tale Weddings is taking a trip to the top of a glacier!

Patina Restaurant Group Helps Fund Wish Trips for Children

Space 220

Space 220

Patina Restaurant Group (PRG) announced today that it succeeded in helping to raise funds for Give Kids The World. Both PRG and Give Kids The World partnered up to support the wish trips of children and their families. Patina Restaurant Group was able to raise $51,930, which will help fund 8,000 Wishes in 2020 for these children.

Those who donate to Give Kids The World were invited to bid on a special prize package offered by Patina Restaurant Group. The prize included a package for dinner for 2 at Disney’s new Space 220 Restaurant.

Space 220 Restaurant is an exciting new dining experience opening in Epcot later this year. It’s unlike anything seen at Walt Disney World Resort. The name is derived from its space theme. The theming’s backstory is that guests will be dining in the Centauri Space Station while suspended 220 miles above Earth. It will have guests feel like they’re truly eating in orbit above Epcot’s Mission: SPACE attraction.

The new Disney dining experience is set to open in March 2020. It’s wonderful that these organizations are able to help these kids and their families. Their kindness and charity is inspirational to others looking to contribute to organizations that help children.

No More Underwater Music At Disney's Art Of Animation Pool

Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming!

Inspired in Finding Nemo, this pool contains over 308, 527 gallons of water! Huge right?

No More Underwater Music At Disney's Art Of Animation Pool

The beautiful area has giant pieces of Nemo, Crush and other special friends.

But one of the best parts of this pool was the underground audio and music where you were able to listen to Marlin, Dory and Nemo talking about their adventures in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef!

Unfourtunally this special feature has been removed due to safety concerns and issues for the lifeguards.
